Ordered it on Saturday night, arrived this morning - FAb service, and its over £30 cheaper than argos!!!

IvortheEngine · 03/10/2006 20:36

Just a quickie. Need to get ds and dd off to bed. The lady who cleans for me was here today so I need to do something tonight but not cleaning as it has been done and not something big as I've got a cold and feel a bit grotty. Don't know really how I did in the interview today but I'm okay where I am if I didn't get it. Back in a mo.

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 03/10/2006 20:37

Phew, all done, will give kitchen wipe over whilst waiting for kettle to boil in a mo, but am snuggled up on sofa watching casualty now (or is it holby??)

won't be doing anything tomorrow (that's why I have crammed so much in today) as I am having friends over tomorrow for coffee, and then in the afternoon dd and ds are both going to tea at friends house so have all afternoon to myself!! Yippee!!!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 03/10/2006 20:37

bugger, here

TortUREoiseChamber · 03/10/2006 20:39

That is cheap! Im sooo tempted now but the money i have in Paypal is suppose to be going towards a new bed for DD1!

QuootieSpookypie · 03/10/2006 20:39

I was wondering where you could get them! saw it and wanted it! is it good then?

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 03/10/2006 20:40

its bloody brilliant. An old neighbour had one when i lived down south and i borrowed it a few times but they were almost £200 then.... no way i could afford it.

Saw it in argos and thought oooooh but still wasnt sure re price, and then looked on good old ebay!!!

Never ever gonna part with it now (unless itdies on me lol)

QuootieSpookypie · 03/10/2006 20:41

got a fat cheque today so am all in a spending mood I have cream carpets so I think it'll be wel used!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 03/10/2006 20:45

Go for it LOL

We have redish colour carpets so you cant really "see" the dirt, but after emptying the water twice and seeing the colour of it, I felt sick that my babies are crawling around on it!!!

TortUREoiseChamber · 03/10/2006 20:48

Mine are a light browney colour but has lots of stuff stuck in it! Will it get really old marks out? I used xp2's vax one on it a few times but it left the carpet quite wet and not that clean(although water was dirty)!

TortUREoiseChamber · 03/10/2006 20:52

How much do you think I should put these on Ebay for??here Not selling on here so far!Im desperate for the money then I will have enough for a cheap Argos bed for DD and a carpet cleaner!!!

QuootieSpookypie · 03/10/2006 20:56

Hard to say tort... whats the minimum youd let them go for?

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 03/10/2006 20:59

WOW on the price of the carpet cleaner!
My step mom has a vag 1 that I use from time to time.
Holby was sad tonight. That a hard one to know whats right and whats wrong

I am sat here now in my JPs. well some of you sit in PJs in the morning, so I can sit here at night lol

TortUREoiseChamber · 03/10/2006 20:59

Well £100 would be ok i guess but all in they are worth £200! Buy it now would be best i guess!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 03/10/2006 21:01

i use a steam cleaner to rid of the stuck in stuff and then hoover it up.

Then clean the carpet with my new toy and it looks brand new again

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 03/10/2006 21:02

the carpet does get wet but not wet as in soaking, just damp more than anything, but it dries really quickly.

QuootieSpookypie · 03/10/2006 21:09

put it on with £100 reserve?

batinshoes · 03/10/2006 21:10

ooh ooh. i got a bissell carpet cleaner last week. it's amazing. we've done 3 rooms so far and i cant wait to do the rest. 2 nights ago dd spilt ribena on the carpet and the cleaner got the whole spill up!!! defo recommend.

v. tired so off to watch tv.

just realised my cleaning frenzy may be nesting and i'm a bit worried that it will all go away when the baby is born. still got 10 weeks to go. what do you guys think?

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 03/10/2006 21:12

its deffo nesting, but remember that once that baby is born you are to spend at LEAST 6 weeks doing NOTHING!!!

TortUREoiseChamber · 03/10/2006 21:14

Yay I have done the kitchen!! Washed out ds's lunch boxes and feel at the crap their dad puts in!Of couse its stuff that they like but shouldn't really have.DS2 has a choc caramel rice crisrie bar, fruit winder and mini perperami as well as sandwich, quiche(left some and savoury egg balls(left both) No fruit!

Can i do Buy it now and a bidding one? How much should buy it now be? (maybe i should start a seperate thread for this!)

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 03/10/2006 21:16

Are we all nesting then!

If we are, then I would like to know how I am. Not had a man in the house for nearly 12 months lol

batinshoes · 03/10/2006 21:17

ok, not left pc yet. tv rubbish.

tortoise. i would say do a buy it now for 60% of their original value (if you'd be willing to accept that). if they sell then great, if not then relist them as an auction at 40% of their value but only if you'd be prepared to let them go for that.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 03/10/2006 21:17

i wish i was nesting... but isnt likely to happen just yet - after a 15 month age gap, i think ive done my bit for while!!

(Maybe next year..........)
