Hi All,

As we all agreed to create a new thread today, here it is.

Hope you all have a good day. I have a shiny sink but not much else.

We're off out for the weekend so see you when I get back.

OP posts:
dolally · 23/09/2006 23:27

have to say the babysteps(and all the other reminders... having my shoes on!) terrify me!

Really don't kno9w yet if the meal plan will work for me either, Sometimes don't know if Dh is eating in, and even when he is... having to cater for one no carb DH, one dd who seriously needs fattening up, one teenager who is starving all the time, little one who is fussy, plus the menus have to be able to be cooked and eaten between work, gymnastics, extra maths, etc.. Lets see! Can't be worse than it already is!

Skribble · 23/09/2006 23:32

I put stuff in the freezer but never remember to take it out in time, so end up doing quick pasta again, before activities. Or I put meat in the fridge and forget about it until it is out of date, either way we are practicly veggie at home.

I did a big pile of stirfry veg and wraps the other day and Dh wasn't home for dinner, he eat the wraps later but the veg was wasted .

tortoise · 23/09/2006 23:34

I always forget about meat in the fridge.
Im not into cooking much so we do eat too much crap! Do lots of mash as dd's won't eat just spuds!

dolally · 23/09/2006 23:37

Also, I HOPE! the meal plan will prove flexible... like tonight Dh has gone to visit MIL and is still not back, so tonight's dinner is now in freezer. (Having been bought yesterday according to my meal plan shopping list.. tee hee. Tortoise I was the same... did not know WHERE to start! Only day before yesterday with the prospect of a big supermarket shop in front of me.. I thought OK type 7 days's worth of dinners (no other meals) onto WP, print out, stick on fridge and that is what I'll buy (plus a few odds and ends for kids school day lunches etc.)

Skribble · 23/09/2006 23:41

I but loads of stuff but go to make dinner and realise I don't have all the stuff I need for 1 meal. Looks like I need to start meal planning

tortoise · 23/09/2006 23:44

I think i will concider meal planning!
Least i won't have to think everday what to cook.My problem is the 4 dc don't like the same things!

Skribble · 24/09/2006 00:00

That could make for a very complex plan, but I suppose planning might make it easier.

SusiS · 24/09/2006 06:39

morning ladies! 'yaaaawh' why on earth do kids get up that early?!?!?

oh well, all are dressed and had breakfast. hmm all but me had breakfast ..i wonder why?!?

but i've made my bed, s/s upstairs toilet, done my hair, loaded dishwasher and checking up on you guys

re mealplanner: since starting a diet 3 months ago i always do a mealplanner a week ahead. it helps me a great deal and i finally know what to buy!! - re complex family: maybe try and cook something very basic and just add different sides for each? dont 'know how complex they all are

nothing planned for today. dp is still in bed surprise

ohhh and i finally did the 'sock-box'! tossed loads with holes and scruffy and singles and even put a divider in so i don't have to go through tons of dps socks till i finally find some of mine.

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 24/09/2006 11:16

Blimey you were up early.
DH & I have been working hard too, he has stripped some more wallpaper on the landing, I have made a cake, done some actual washing up and shined my sink. DS is kindly having a nap, DH has taken DD out to learn to ride her scooter and I am supposed to be labelling up stuff for next week's NCT sale but I've been so ruthless there's loads to do.
Last night I covered my stupid brass taps in brown sauce and scrubbed them first thing, they look much less rank.

tribpot · 24/09/2006 13:24

Had 15 emails from Flylady overnight, is this normal?! There were so many instructions I can't remember what to do next.

Failed babystep 2, as ds had me up at 5:30. By 8 I gratefully handed him back to dh and went back to bed. Got up, cooked dinner, washed up so kitchen looking all nice and clean though.

Is it worth swishing and swiping in the bathroom even if really it needs cleaning properly? This weekend's mission is to get the laundry sorted out. It's all clean but needs putting away.

RanToTheHills · 24/09/2006 13:24

mine was to wash the sink and tie my shoe-laces, managed thatbut dreading moreintensive stuff!

tribpot · 24/09/2006 13:28

Those should have been my baby steps as well, although you have to get dressed, not just put on lace-up shoes with your pj's (I am not doing the shoe bit, though, flylady and I will have to disagree on this).

hazelnuts · 24/09/2006 13:44

I was going to post here 30 minutes ago. The net went down.
I am not having the greatest on days. All I keeping thinking about is What will xp1 do next week? Took DC to the park. they had fun.
tortoise, I have the some problem with m DC, they dont eat what I like. Yet they will knick what I have from my plate. Put it on theirs and they wont eat it. I love cooking but its not worth it just for me.
I just watch tv last night. It was so busy in here last night. lol.
I better get some bits done.

tortoise · 24/09/2006 13:45

Hi FLYers.Hope everyone is having a good sunday.
No new thread for today?
Ive done quite well today although would of got more done if i had done the nighttime routine! Got up to a discusting mess in the kitchen and and dirty stuff because i didnt put the dishwasher on!!
We have made cookies(yum!) and i have fixed ds1's puncture.
Front room needs a good tidy and hoover now.

tortoise · 24/09/2006 13:45

Hi HN.

tortoise · 24/09/2006 13:47

Ive had xp2 texting because ss have stopped his contact until supervisition properly arranged! As if its my fault!Sorry you are worrying about probs with your xp1.

hazelnuts · 24/09/2006 13:48

I never get my e-mails in time. Goto bed gets to me at 4 something am most days. Tie up shoes in the afternoon. Would be ok if I was to do the things they say to do,if I was to do the times what they say but go on on the times I get them, then I would be late for everything. lol

hazelnuts · 24/09/2006 13:53

Hi tortoise. Dont now about your xp2 but I wish my xp1 would just leave m alone and stop this making trouble. Yummy cookies.

I cant get msn to log in

hazelnuts · 24/09/2006 13:55

I tried finding a new thread. I think we have to know who will start new threads.

tortoise · 24/09/2006 14:15

Oops! Ran out of electric!had to put the emergancy on and turn comp back on!!!
Put 2nd load of washing out too.

We just need a link each day to the next thread.

I would be glad if i never had to see xp2 again. Its always all about him!
I know how he feels not seeing the girls but nothing said about how i must feel about maybe not getting my ds's back!
Right off for 15mins tidying in front room!

shazronnieWEARINGSHOES · 24/09/2006 14:17

why don't we have a new thread daily, and a combined thread for sat / sun as we all seem to do less flying on the weekend.

Whoever is first up starts the new thread and has to make sure they link it from the old one.

tortoise · 24/09/2006 14:17

Great idea shaz!

hazelnuts · 24/09/2006 14:21

shaz That sounds great to me.

MSN working now.

hazelnuts · 24/09/2006 14:37

tortoise, I dont know how your xp2 feels I know my xp2 wanted me to keep my 2 dss. I always thought I know what he was feeling,I even thought he was a b cos I thought what he was saying in the wrong way. I know SS have tried to get me to think all sorts of things about xp2. I can see what they are saying about him, but I also see the other side of it too. Its what mind you are in when thinking about it. I have seen a writen letter. One way it reads really bad, then if you put the punctuation differently, with the same words, it then sounds great. God knows what goes through any 1s mind when they are not thinking right.
Is your MSN working?
I dont have to worry about my elec atm. But I have seen how much I use each day now. Helpand its not winter yet

tortoise · 24/09/2006 14:42
