emails are arriving really unreliably at the moment (and I never read the testimonials)

Any one who is wondering if it is worth it... my friends came round (never been here before) and the one with the show home said, "How do you find time to keep your house looking so clean and tidy with three kids?l
I had shut the bedroom doors

Hi FLYers.
Happy Birthday BarefootJasnem.Here's your \link{http://cctvimedia.clearchannel.com/birthday cake.jpg\cake!}
Been to mother and toddler group this morning.Oh how i love sitting on my own for 2 hours with no-one talking to me!!! Felt like leaving. Least the DD's enjoy it!

They see their dad today at 2.30 so I will get 3 hours FLY time!(or comp time!)

tamsino · 13/09/2006 13:04

tortoise, i used to hate toddler group as the mums were really cliquey and didnt talk to me. in the end i left and went to tumble club instead where the kids do gym stuff and you half play with them, and part sing etc but the mums seemed more friendly.

BarefootJasnem · 13/09/2006 13:06

tortiose. I agree with Tamsino. Is there another group you can try?

DS1 is now home from school feeling sick, so I'm glad I did one toilet before I got him.

Laundry put away, but really want to do 15 minutes decluttering in his room!

Also have to do DH's company accounts.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 13/09/2006 13:24

There is another one but its a very small hall and i don't fancy it! Its ok when my friend goes but she didn't turn up this week.
It would help if i was better at chatting to people in rl!!

Flamesparrow · 13/09/2006 13:31

Jas - can I buy you a mouse please????

Back from school, DD whingy and horrible. Mediceded up and curled up with a bottle - hopefully she'll fall asleep soon and I can do stuff.

Still sorting clothes as and when I can, and I am going to be needing even more boxes to store the "to grow into" stuff in As nice as it is to be given stuff, I am starting to feel so overwhelmed that I would almost rather not have it... I feel horrible if I say no though because people seem really offended.

samnbabes · 13/09/2006 13:32

tortoise - I did this for ages at my toddler grp too -it's amazing how clique-y these things are. I didn't fancy local alternatives, so took big bold step of volunteering to do a couple of little jobs helping out (handing round snack-time biccies, tidying up a bit afterwards) and that helped - athough having turning up with a baby seemed to really work best - perhaps a rather radical approach

btw, clean loo now!

Pollyanna · 13/09/2006 13:42

Can someone give me a quick rundown on Flylady? I have looked at the site, but am a bit confused. There is a zone each week to concentrate on, right? What do you do in that zone - is it extra special deep cleaning, that you wouldn't normally do?

When do you do the normal cleaning for the week? Fly lady has her list of tasks, but that doesn't seem to include things like the oven etc....

Also, (I am intelligent normally, honest )when do you do the clutter cleaning of the hotspots or the 27 fling boogie? Is this part of the evening routine?

I already had an evening and morning routine (blame my mother!), but fall down badly at the rest of the cleaning.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 13/09/2006 13:51

The zone each week will one day be the detailed clean but must be decluttered 1st!There is a Kelly's mission to do each day.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 13/09/2006 13:52

Hotspots and boogie I havnt got the hang of yet!!!

trinityshiftingherleatheryarse · 13/09/2006 13:52

morning all really proud of myself today, I managed to shower and wash hair. thats acheivement in itself but I then ironed clean trousers and a top and this was all before we left for the school run and we weren't late

however that is all i have done today but i did feel better when I left the house clean and fresh

laneydaye · 13/09/2006 14:01

hia..
ive just polished the living room....(CHEERS)
havent done it for 3wks because of this bloody website..

might wash the pots next....

asleep · 13/09/2006 14:05

i think the best thing flylady cleaning does is that i am not embarrassed by the state of my house when someone visits (even without ringing ahead as they had to do before so i could tidy like crazy before they arrived)!

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 13/09/2006 14:06

Thats great asleep.I want mine to be like that one day! Not there yet!!I would still have to arrange in advance.

mummy2ashton · 13/09/2006 14:08

ditto to that asleep!

asleep · 13/09/2006 14:08

heh but saying that... i wouldn't let anyone in our bedroom yet as that's not decluttered. but soon!

sorkycake · 13/09/2006 14:09

Have been to Toddlers this morning, lunch, then school drop off. Just got back.

How's everyone feeling today then?

Happy Birthday Jas !

Welcome skribble, you know it makes sense!

mummyhill · 13/09/2006 14:14

I am having a good day today.

Living room rescued before Homestart volunteer arrived and she complemened me on the change. Whilst she was here I rescued the kitchen area of the kitchen diner and cleaned bathroom except tiles and bath. I even managed Kelly's mission.

Got DD to school on time this afternoon, can't wait till next week when she goes full time. Popped into the local shoppping centre to the bank and paid a few bills. DS is a sleep in the pram on the patio and I am rewarding myself with 10 mins pooter time.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 13/09/2006 14:16

mummyhill Added you to msn.

Chloe55 · 13/09/2006 14:22

Happy birthday Jas!

I have been cleaning at my nanna's all morning and have no motivation now to do my own house - Ds has gone down for a nap so am gonna spend some time on here and then hopefully get my arse in gear.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 13/09/2006 14:40
