misdee I love your little open shelves

I flirted with the idea of open shelves but thought that cupboard doors would cover my chaos better; yours look nice with those matching containers on tho'

I'm actually at work but I'd love to be getting through my kitchen cupboards

misdee · 04/09/2006 12:37

they were only £2.50 in the IKEA sale last year. i have another set to go up that i pinched from my parents house, its going to go in the corner near the sink, its for my flours and bread stuff.

i found my bread maker amongst that clutter lol.

Flamesparrow · 04/09/2006 12:37

Ours was like that too - people just don't seem to plan things properly... if I was designing my own kitchen I'd have soooooooooo many cupboards!

damewashalot · 04/09/2006 12:43

Just popping my head in to say hello, feel too rotten to do much today but did swish and swipe this morning and sink is shiny Can't see top of my fridge due to empty beer cans that need squishing and recycling DH put them there of course

misdee · 04/09/2006 12:46

i want something like these for recycling. they will fit just behind my bin and not block any cupboards. but not at that price.

sorkycake · 04/09/2006 12:48

Really tortoise, I'm very impressed!
I rely on Dh to do DIY
Maybe I should try a bit more.

Flamesparrow · 04/09/2006 12:50

I bought my own fkin hammer (due to DH never doing the things I need), and he put it in HIS tool box and buried it under that pile of crp behind the broken ironing board and I can't get to it!!!

(sorry... hit a sore spot. I am swearing lots more since I started flying...)

tortoise · 04/09/2006 12:59

I have no chice but to do things for myself.
No man in the tortoise household to do it!
I have only used it twice mind you.
But i do use the battery screwdriver and i need to buy a hammer next.

Fridge and freezer all sparkly and decluttered... Need to do insdie the fridge, but DS has woken up again and he's not right (had to give him nurofen halfway through his lunch, by the time I'd taken the syringe back to the kitchen and came back to feed him, he was asleep!!)

tortoise · 04/09/2006 13:23

I love it.

I think i may of destroyed DD1's headboard. Its one of these soft foam material kids ones and it had pen all over it so ive washed it.It said sponge clean only though!!

JackieNo · 04/09/2006 13:24

Flowery tools?

Jasnem · 04/09/2006 13:30

I want the flowery ones, then dp wouldn't take them to work (wouldn't look good on a buildinfg site.
I feel as if i'm being buried under tools some days, but I do have my own kit, too (he takes his best stuff to work, and there is so much of it I can never find what I need in all the other stuff)

misdee · 04/09/2006 13:31

no to pretty tools. i want a decent set of tools which dont break if i try to do more than flat pack furniture.

my drill was an expensive present to myself, as i was always ringing my dad to borrow his.

peters carer looks a bit shocked the other day when she came in and iwas doing DIY.
