Ok im stuck on errand day.At the moment i pick up shopping as and when needed and do a tesco online shop when i feel i have enough of a lump sum of money.
Any tips from the ones who have done a journal?

That sounds like a fab time capp.Well done you.Gold star

Cappuccino · 01/09/2006 20:32

shall print it out and put it in my journal

there is a whole thing on the website about journals; I found that very useful because it makes you sit down and work out all the things that need to be done in a week and when is the best time to do them. I don't do them all on Flylady day

shazronnie · 01/09/2006 20:33

I'm going to do my journal now cos i feel left out!

tortoise · 01/09/2006 20:35

Ive followed all the baby steps for the journal.Although i haven't done emergency numbers.
Have printed the detailed zone cleaning list to stick in!

shazronnie · 01/09/2006 20:54

snap tortoise! I got fed up by the time i got to contact numbers etc!

Now, should I do a bit of ironing?

tortoise · 01/09/2006 20:57

I just couldn't see the point in them! I don't have a baby sitter and if i did i would just leave emergancy numbers for them! Not let them see that im a mad woman who has a cleaning journal!!
Ive trimmed round the detailed zone cleaning pages and stuck them in my journal.

shazronnie · 01/09/2006 20:59

I printed the detailed lists; i might stick them in my saddo's notebook, sorry control journal, tomorrow.

Sorry cappucino - I should have said how clever and brave you were today! I sometimes take my 2 swimming on my own, and it is alot of hassle, and mine have no SN.

DontlookatmeImshy · 01/09/2006 21:19

Evening ladies.

I can't keep up with you all.

I haven't followed the fly-lady today but I have done all my ironing, and have a sparkly and clean kitchen without really having to try very hard.I suppose thats what it's all about really - getting to a point where thing staynice without having to putmuch effort in.

DontlookatmeImshy · 01/09/2006 21:21

Ooo yes very brave Cappuccino. How old are your dd's.

sorkycake · 01/09/2006 21:27

Hi all,
Been at work today, and tidied and swished before I left. I rang Dh, who was at home, 1 hour before I left work to let him know I was finished and gently threatened that the house had better be as I'd left it . He assured me it was and suggested it was even a bit tidier!
So imagine my face when I walked through the door to find grubby floors, no ironing done, wash load still in washer, dishes lying all around sink, even though he knew the dishwasher was empty, kids not even washed or hair brushed benches with the remnants of lunch still attached and the stench of tomato sauce pervading everywhere!
As if that wasn't enough, he had let them bring down their quilts and pillows to watch TV! [anger]
I made those beds immaculately this morning [anger]

Needless to say Mr Sorky is now sorely sorry and sporting a bruised ear from all the bashing it got!!

It has taken me 1.5 hours to restore calm and order, hmmph!

Well done everyone on achieving all you did today

tortoise · 01/09/2006 21:29

Naughty dh.I hope he has learnt his lesson.

OP posts:
Cappuccino · 01/09/2006 21:41

ahhh, sorky. Nothing like duvets in front of the TV. [wistful emoticon] I'm sure flylady would approve, we're not meant to be perfect are we?

dontlookatme they're 6 and 20ms. Coincidentally I just put this pic of them on the beach on member profiles tonight; that's me in the background

Jasnem · 01/09/2006 21:47

Hi, I've just read all todays chat, and it looks like I need to get myself a saddos diary
I've been out all day, but managed to leave a clean kitchen and fresh washing on the airer so not too bad here.

you bought the office in a bag?

shazronnie · 01/09/2006 22:55

RR do you have the denim waistcoat too?
You must post a photo of yourself modelling all of your FL paraphernalia!

I did my ironing but i did it barefoot

JessaJam · 01/09/2006 23:04

I have NOT got a shiny sink, but I will before I go to bed. I have done a hot spot in my dining room, but no mission in my entrance [quizzical expression]. My shoes are on. I have done a load of laundry ( if one rug covered in cat urine can count as a load...grrr!).
bed is as messy as it was when I left the house this morning.
I may do 10 more minutes in the hallway in a bit , or not!

shazronnie · 01/09/2006 23:07

Well, I'm going to bed - nighty night!

singersgirl · 01/09/2006 23:28

My sink is shiny and I have done one Hot Spot, though I fear it has just moved to another Hot Spot so large that it is a raging inferno - our study/loft/spare room.

But I will turn these negative thoughts into positive ones and put out my clothes for tomorrow.

The dishwasher is on, the swimming bag is packed and my post for tomorrow is addressed and stamped, waiting to be put in the letter box.

Does Flylady ever do any ironing? She seems to miss that step out in her laundry mantra.

calebsmummy · 02/09/2006 07:27

I am very good at shining my sink

That's actually because I do like shiny things, so no great hardship there.

Anyone getting a little posessive/obsessive over their shiny sink or am I just a tiny bit odd?

I do have a shiny kitchen this morning, which was lovely to come down to, but boys are eating rice crispies now, so I suspect the shinyness won't last.

Off to read next bit now
