Have just searched for 2manypimms...she is a 'living overseas' and 'child modelling' MNer, who also posts in 'Telly Addicts' and a few 'Other Subjects'. That explains why I have never heard of her then...also rules out cod in disguise as the mogelling ones are far too friendly!!!

Flamesparrow · 01/09/2006 15:12

I don't know anythign about the xmas ones...

tortoise · 01/09/2006 15:15

By damewashalot on Friday, 1 September, 2006 10:53:47 AM Anyone else getting uk emails and get one inviting you to join a special getting ready for christmas group

OP posts:
SKYTVADICT · 01/09/2006 15:27

Yes, it came as a UK email asking us to join a group and get help with Xmas. My UK emails just come to my normal email address and not my new Yahoo one so they are easily kept separate.

The do come at better times than the USA ones but still are not always at the right time.

You need to sign up on the UK site though - flame and dame gave details a bit earlier

shazronnie · 01/09/2006 15:40

ok I have signed up to uk flylady so I can get Christmas thingy, so i will probably be drowning in e mails by teatime

(Got a tidy dining room BTW, but took me about 1 and a half hours)

tortoise · 01/09/2006 15:57

Im trying to FLY in the front room but the furniture won't fit how i want it!

afternoon all, managed to pick up all the clothes, toys and plates, glasses and cutlery and rubbish and crap from the living roo/dining room. threw away the rubbish ,just putb the dishes in the kitchen and wthe washing but the frontroom/dinind room looks clear and then my friend cam and hoovered it for me, he wants tea cooked for him now as he had to change the bag 3 times and found some very questionable items of dead food around the back and under the sofas
he's only teasing though

gonna trya dn get some washing done now

JessaJam · 01/09/2006 15:59

Better dead food than food that has become re-animated over time though, surely!

tortoise · 01/09/2006 16:06

Oh well done tr.Do you feel better for it? Does it look good?
Well done to your friend too for helping out.
I think ive broken a FLY rule!Don't pull out more than you can put back in an hour.

Good for you TR
I've found my hall, can't hoover it as baby asleep in pram but can see all of the carpet.

Flamesparrow · 01/09/2006 17:01

I have spent 30 mins in my diningroom, and its not made a dent

I did clear out my nappy bag and do the beginnings of a control journal though!!!

tortoise · 01/09/2006 17:19

Its a start flame.
Ive struggled to improve the front room but i know it is looking a little better.
Just think what your dining room will look like after a few days of 15min de-clutters.

franch · 01/09/2006 19:19

Thanks flame & dame - signed up for uk & Xmas

shazronnie · 01/09/2006 19:20

That's fantastic trinityrhino! Well done!

Did you do all the lounge missions tortoise?

tortoise · 01/09/2006 19:22

Um well i got mondays and tuesdays done.
I got carried away with sorting toys and swapping a pink tub for the small toy box from the bedroom which looks neater than an over flowing tub!

shazronnie · 01/09/2006 19:24

no need to blush; sounds like you've been really busy tortoise

tortoise · 01/09/2006 20:06

well I am a superhero

I took both dds swimming for the first time ever on my own; though it did cost me £26

I packed all the costumes up before I went and then right at the last minute dd2 got herself into some predicament so I went and saved her and then got them all in the car

got them to the pool. Through the hotel bar, in the little access lift, through the restaurant, out the fire doors, round the back of the building, up and down a ramp, through the gym fire doors; left dd1 in her walking frame while I went up the stairs to collect towels from reception, got them all into the changing room and then discovered I'd left my swimming costume at home

could not be bothered going through it all again (especially since I had managed to bag a disabled space misdee ) so I went to the gym shop and bought one; left the dds with some old ladies. Very smart it is too, and it fits me considerably better than the one I bought for my mate's hen weekend in 1998

managed to take both of them swimming without either one of them drowning! dd1 did not fall into the pool in a tangle of wetsuit and metal! dd2 did not scream throughout the whole sorry process!

now I am completely motivationless after such a massive personal achievement and the idea of decluttering for 15 minutes fills me with disinterest. Far more attractive-sounding is sitting down with a bottle of San Miguel and some tortilla chips and watching a video

what do you all think?
