there's actually a whole section on putting your control journal together on the website, I found it really helpful

there's no way I'm going to get much done tonight. I'm shattered already and I have to entertain the Cappuccinis till bedtime.

Apart from park (can't face trying to keep dd2 away from the roundabout, she's too young to know danger and will lose a limb), anyone got any bright ideas?

calebsmummy · 01/09/2006 13:53

Thanks Flame, not that I have done much today but have been to the library and taxied DS1 around. Have a friend with small people coming over in a bit, so a bit reluctant to FLY until they have left (though I may have to clear a path into the playroom so they can actually play)

Kitchen not too bad anyway...lounge sorta ok ish but will pick up in a mo, can't hoover cos DS3 is sleeping ...oh and b***y dishwasher fixy man has cancelled cos they don't have enough engineers in today

Flame, lounge looking very nice, it's so satisfying isn't it.

I think we should FLYcam...that would get us going.

Cappuccino · 01/09/2006 13:58

Flame it would be a lot better in your lounge if those children weren't hanging around cluttering up the place

don't they have a cupboard to go in?

shazronnie · 01/09/2006 13:59

nice lounge Flamesparrow!

Glad to see you have all done lots of flying since I shouted!

I'm just waiting for my hall floor to dry, then i am going to declutter the dining room. it will take more than 15 minutes though..

JessaJam · 01/09/2006 14:01

I suggest we maker a plea to the FLYlady to 'source' us a lovely (preferably blue denim, with pockets) storage system in which we can place clutter-causing items such as pets, husbands/partners and children.

Vindy · 01/09/2006 14:01

Hello
Thank you for letting me see this! Expecting baby next week and I can see this will help keep me on top of things when DH Mum go home. (MIL sort of person who notices dirty skirting boards and comments!)

Just one question - I have a plasticky sink. How do I make it shine or can I just clean it well?

Jessajam good idea

I'm sure that Anthea would suggest wicker baskets

JessaJam · 01/09/2006 14:05

with appropriately coloured gingham ribbons , natch.

and by the way lady anthea...I have used my knickers as a hairband in a hurry for years! so, ner!

SKYTVADICT · 01/09/2006 14:07

Vindy - i think you can just clean it well.

Ruby - SH*T - i forgot about packed lunches. I HATE THEM!!!

Cappuccino · 01/09/2006 14:08

no-one should have to think about Anthea with her knickers in her hair

it's not fair of her

tortoise · 01/09/2006 14:09

Ok 1st kelly's mission here i come!
Will pop back between missions!

How do you get the UK flylady emails?

Flamesparrow · 01/09/2006 14:19

pmsl - I kept trying to get DD out of the way, and she just yelled "photo meeeeeeeeeeeeeee". DS could probably have been stored in a drawer, but he was whinging for breakfast, and picking him up would have made him worse - was already at "Mummy just needs to take some photos for the lounge for the mad ladies on the computer, THEN you'll get fed".

Never watched Anthea, just her voice makes me want to thump her, but have also use knickers as hairband for ages.

DS is sleepin (he is being all good and routined today), so I am going to play with my journal

JessaJam · 01/09/2006 14:23

I watched yesterday to try to get motivated again but all I have taken away from the experience is images of her flicky, flicky hair!

Cappuccino · 01/09/2006 14:23

wish I was going to play with my journal

I'm going to - gulp - take both dds swimming on my own

never done it before, normally it takes two of us cos of dd1s disability

but I am in a bullet-biting mood

you'd better be all here with a nice glass of wine and sympathy when I come back, frazzled, having drowned at least one of them

Cappuccino · 01/09/2006 14:24

jess me and dh were convinced the woman on there was a mnetter

cos she kept sneaking off to the pc

damewashalot · 01/09/2006 14:25

{blush] done nothing.
Well have fed baby.
Flame you have put me to shame here I go, will not come back til have done something.

tortoise · 01/09/2006 14:29

Right i think thats everything outthat shouldn't be in here!
5 min break while i look up mission 2!
Enjoy the swim Cappuccino.I wanted to take my 4 but would have to have another adult with me because has to be 2-1 ratio under 8 and i have 3 under 8 and 1 over!

Cappuccino · 01/09/2006 14:35

stick a moustache on your second eldest tortoise

no-one will question you

shazronnie · 01/09/2006 14:42

apparently there is going to be a MNer on Anthea soon.

JessaJam · 01/09/2006 14:43

who?

is it ocd? or sorkycakes? Are they going to pretend to be slovenly and reel her in only to beat her (with a mop) at her own game?!!!

Flamesparrow · 01/09/2006 14:44

I want to be able to have people to my house Dame.

I have known Psychomum for about 5/6 years now, and she has only been allowed inside on a handful of occasions (and that is 4 different homes... ). My friend from school moved in 5 doors down about a month ago, and I still haven't been able to invite her round.

I have lived in sh*t for years, and have finally found something that is motivating me, so I am going for it all guns blazing... just hope I still am in a few weeks time

Cap - Enjoy swimming, and just remember - they come back tired, so are more easily folded away into cupboards to make the place look neat .

tortoise · 01/09/2006 14:46

I agree flame.I wanted to invite people over the summer hols but haven't.I don't make friends because they want to come round and i can't ask them too!
Soon I hope to be able too though!
