Hi tortoise - I always used to make our bed, but now I really make it! I bought a lovely bedspread and loads of cushions from Ikea last week, and so instead of just fluffing/straightening the duvet and pillows, I can actually make the whole bed look a bit co-ordinated! It's amazing (but of course the 'show home' look only lasts as long as it takes a child to jump on the bed but hey, it looked good for a bit!)

Re bank holiday - nope, I think we are at home tomorrow. Hopefully the weather won't be too bad as we have lots to do in the garden (plus all the flylady stuff of course!)

Sleep well one and all

I never make my bed
I am only on day one, though, and my sink is shiny.

I'll be cleaning tomorrow, every spare minute 'til lunch time, but dp is taking me out for lunch as we have no big kids at the moment.

Ahh, Trinityrhino, don't be disheartened. Cleaning up after kids is like shovelling snow in a blizzard!
I leave the majority of cleaning until they've gone to bed. I just tidy as I go during the weekend. I'm pg with no.3 and some days it is hard to be bothered, by the time you've had breakfast you feel ready for a nap again!
You know what I did during the m/s stage, cleaning wise, I made sure that the hall was nice and clean everyday and made that my one household job. That way whenever I answered the door I didn't feel ashamed of the mess, because as far as anyone else knew the rest of the house was like that!
Gradually as you feel better you might want/feel able to do more, but atm don't expect too much of yourself. I got to 13 weeks and started to feel better energywise.
If you can, I'd say have a little nap when the kids go to bed and wake up and tidy around if you can. The best thing about this is if you wake up to a clean house it makes you feel like you can manage better for the day. If I didn't do my evening routine I would be constantly playing catch up during the day. It's just what works for me hth.

I had a whole day offline

TR - I didn't know you were pregnant!!!

I am all proud of myself - went out on Saturday and bought 3 big boxes, and have been through a load of the children's clothes and sorted it into "fits" and "to grow into". Have started sorting the small stuff into 3 boxes for 3 different friends depending on sizes, and I am just giving it all away. 1/2 of my bedroom looks sooo much better. It has made me think that I do just want to stick with 2 children... have been unsure if DS is my last of if I want another later, but going through, giving away DD's baby clothes without the teeniest flicker of "but I might want them for the next one" has made me much more sure. Not going to do anything drastic, but feel much more settled (not that any of that was relevant to FLYing ).

I can see me doing sneaky bedroom sorting in amongst the zone this week because I'm all enthused! Got to my dad's and started folding clothes I did apologise and said I wasn't trying to be rude, but I had found this site.... and now step mum and step sister are looking at it!!!

So, I still have a shiny sink and a clean bathroom need to get going on something more than that today.

I registered with the uk site and when I'd heard nothing after a couple of days I did the 'US one which worked, over the weekend uk one kicked in and I came to the computer to find 71 emails this morning I never get on at the weekend so mondays will be like this

Like the sound of this blessing bit Just a quick wiz around by the looks?
