Flamey · 25/08/2006 11:54

the flame hell hole

JessaJam · 25/08/2006 11:56

Hi cappuccino can you FLY and be green too? She's told me to shine my sink using every chemical substance known to mankind!![frown]

I'm going to try it..it can't make it any ^worse6 after all! But all the dodgy hugs and stuff are making my skin crawl! Plus on day 15 she wants me to start making my bed every morninga s soon as I get out of it! But DH is still in it then!

Flamey · 25/08/2006 11:57

I just made mine shiney with the products I agree with... green doesn't = dirty.

trinityrhino · 25/08/2006 12:06

your bathroom looks fab flamey
hmm your bedroom needs a little flying, don't think it's worse than mine though

do you feel more inot sorting it now we've all seen it?

Flamey · 25/08/2006 12:08

I would do if Emrys would stop crying long enough for me to go there!!!

damewashalot · 25/08/2006 12:12

I'm so jealous that you all have enough spare floor in your bedrooms to cover with crap, can only just walk around my bed with cot in there and there's not much floor without it, big boys have the biggest bedroom now that they share. My little bedroom is worse but I can't do pics and stuff

Flamey · 25/08/2006 12:14

I think when the munchkins get bigger I'll probably have to give up my bedroom in favour of the diddy one

shazronnie · 25/08/2006 12:15

TR - Your house is not that bad! Just do some little things!
Flamey - You have alot of stuff!!! My house has looked alot like that in the past!

I'm by no way an expert, but both of you seem to have a clothes everywhere problem. Why not get a basket and pick up all the clothes on the floors. Then you will have space to walk about. Then for 15 mins a day you can go through the big basket full until eventually everything will be in a better place.

Flamey · 25/08/2006 12:19

We have a fartoomany clothes problem . The big pile with the sheet over is outgrown children's clothes that DH wanted to ebay... I'll rephrase - wanted ME to ebay. Been sat there growing for 18 months, the new postage baffles me too much, so am sorting this weekend - friend can have what she wants, and the rest is going to charity!

I will go and put away a basketful in a minute though

trinityrhino · 25/08/2006 12:35

come on guys this thread is the only thing keeping me going at the mo, I just went and picked all my clothes up off the floor and then went in the garden with dd2 in the sandpit for five minutes, I expected there to be posts when I got back, I get excited and there was none new

shazronnie · 25/08/2006 12:39

Well done TR; have a pat on the back!
Sorry I was off shining my sink!

OP posts:
trinityrhino · 25/08/2006 12:42

thanks shaz and well done, my sink is NOT shiny at the mo

JessaJam · 25/08/2006 12:47

My sink is as far from shiny as you can get! It is half full of dirty dishes sitting in a thin layer of greasy, tomato stained water and 'bits'...and tehre is A LOT more washing up iled next to it..and some on the cooker, and a bit on the bread board..and some in the dining room...

but I am at work so can't do anything about it now.

tortoise · 25/08/2006 12:53

Heellooooo FLYers.
Why is it when Im not around in the morning you all chat loads but when im here it quit? lOL!

Im am soo of that big bathroom!

Tr- my kitchen used to look like that until we did the kitchen zone. Now a quick tidy each day keeps it looking nice.
Im not so about my bedroom now ive seen others.
Bought a plastic tub today to put some bits in like photos to store in the loft.
Think will get a few more over the weeks to put other bits in.

damewashalot · 25/08/2006 13:01

Isn't it funny how we all think we are the only ones?

I'd love not to run around stressed before a visitor comes and not to cringe if the doorbell rings incase they want to come in

tortoise · 25/08/2006 13:04

I know that feeling dome.
Social worker popped in once to drop a note off without warning! Luckily it was a monday so i said monday is tidy and clean day after a lazy weekend!!!

tortoise · 25/08/2006 13:05

dame i mean!

Flamey · 25/08/2006 13:39

... went to do 15 mins in bedroom, mum called and offered to take DD far far away, so I ended up with probably a much more productive 15 mins than if she had been there.

Washin on the line, dry stuff in AND PUT AWAY! Why do I not always do it as I go??? Is it some hopeful part of me that thinks "I might iron this one day"??? It'll never happen, I'm a firm believer in life being too short to iron anything bar smart & school uniform!

shazronnie · 25/08/2006 13:42

i tackled my ironing mountain with the 15 min at a time method - it took me a week, and I haven't led it build up since then.

My ironing has got out of hand since ds3 was born, I have a burst but never quite make enough difference to get on top of it, my mum says to do a little bit every day and it doesn't pile up but i need to get on top of it first. Easy for her to say my nan did all of her ironing till I was about 12

tortoise · 25/08/2006 14:10

Ive done about 20 mins in the bedroom but most bits end up on the bed cos there is no where to put them!
Where does everone store wrapping paper? Ive got about 5 rolls and don't know where to put them.
This is where i start to fail each time!
