have you managed to get him into bed scout?

Scout19075 · 13/07/2012 14:56

I'll just leave him here for a few minutes. I'm feeling all [love & mushy].

I need to go get my girls up now.

Scout19075 · 13/07/2012 15:31

I'm loving this cuddle. I should have put him in bed and cracked on but this is so nice.

After saying I was missing snuggles (secretly on here, not out loud) the other day, I woke up with ds snuggled up with me. It was lovely. He wasn't there when I woke earlier or when dh got up so he hadn't been there all night, he had just climbed in while I was dozing. I was a great way to start the day though.

My friend is being really nice about the thing I forgot. It was too late to fix it, I just have to accept I let her down and didn't do it. I still feel sick but I am relieved she is still speaking to me.

Ds and I have been to a play centre. We don't go much now as dd is too old for them now. He had a brilliant time running around with my friend's son and we had a good catch up.

We were there for 3 1/2 hours so he is well "run around" and my head is pounding from the noise.

It was good though.

It was also nice to come home to a fairly clean house having done the basics this morning before we went out.

Scout19075 · 13/07/2012 17:22

I forgot to mention: WE HAVE BUTTERFLIES!

Noticed one this afternoon (Toddler fell asleep in the chair while I was feeding the butterfly) and another emerged as I was making dinner.

Oh wow Scout! What sort? Can you put a photo on your profile (or Pinterest)?

Scout19075 · 13/07/2012 18:02

I'll see if I can figure out MN pictures when TS is in bed. But for now, carrots, check your in box.

I found my little treat Scout Grin Thank you. You have made me smile.

I have been very brave, and on the advice of you lovely ladies, I have made and advertised my first item for sale, a bracelet much like the lilac and purple memory wire one that people said they liked.

I am really nervous I make an idiot of myself but nothing ventured nothing gained! Right???? Eeeek!

I may need some hand holding!

bessie26 · 13/07/2012 19:21

Oooh! Well done carrots - where have you advertised it?

bessie26 · 13/07/2012 19:23

Oh, and butterflies sound fab scout - where did you get them from?

carrotsandcelery · 13/07/2012 19:24

It's just on my facebook page - not my personal one but my bead one. I don't think facebook is the way to do it though. I think I will try etsy and folksy instead. The majority of the followers on my fb bead page are my friends and I don't want to harrass them to buy stuff all the time.

carrotsandcelery · 13/07/2012 20:21

Ok, I am being even braver and have nearly finished listing the item on Folksy.

carrotsandcelery · 13/07/2012 20:24

Oh! I have a direct link from Folksy to Pinterest. I have pinned it for those who are into Pinterest.

Scout19075 · 13/07/2012 21:29

bessie, the butterflies are Painted Ladies from Insect Lore. I had a coupon for them when I bought a National Trust "kit" though I think you can probably get everything from Insect Lore.

There are still only two out of their "Co-Cones" (as Toddler says). They're lovely.

My goal for this evening is to be in bed no later than 10:30. I'm exhausted.

Hmmm! I seem to have just ordered some caterpillars Grin

Scout19075 · 13/07/2012 21:53

Grin at carrots. They're very low-maintenance. I'm hoping the weather's decent on Wednesday -- a bunch of HE friends are getting together to play (we're meeting at friend's who has lots of land) and I've said if it's decentish weather we could release the butterflies there after the kids had a good look/investigation.

Scout19075 · 13/07/2012 21:58

I will probably do caterpillars next summer, too, and different caterpillar/butterfly activities. But I've got Toddler off to a good start saying cadarpirars, co-cones and uttaf-i and knowing which is which.

Well, with 13 pets currently in the house (2 just visiting) I am sure we can manage a few butterflies as well Grin Dh may not agree but he is not here.

Ds did this at playgroup and again this year at school but I dd has never done this (I know she is 11 but you are never too old) and I think she will enjoy it. It seems fun over the holidays for them both.

There is a place beside a garden centre near Edinburgh called Butterfly World which has a heated (tropical?) indoor garden and the most amazing butterflies flying all around you. They land on your clothes and you can watch them eating/drinking from fruit etc. It is not a big place but it is an amazing experience. Some of them are HUGE and they are so colourful and pretty that you can't fail to enjoy it.

bessie26 · 13/07/2012 22:24

A place near us has a butterfly house - will have to time the order/arrival of caterpillars with a visit there!

bessie26 · 13/07/2012 22:25

scout - hope you are tucked up in bed?

Scout19075 · 13/07/2012 22:33

Was just about to say good night to folks on here and MrScout who's watching the news.

carrotsandcelery · 13/07/2012 22:40

M dh is off collecting dd from his dmum's so won't be back until tomorrow (with dd).

I should go to bed too. Instead I am playing with beads.

Good night Scout!

carrotsandcelery · 13/07/2012 22:42

bessie that butterfly house sounds the same sort of place. Take your camera and have it poised ready for the magical photo. Wear bright colours too as that seems to attract them - they presumably think you are a flower Grin

bessie26 · 13/07/2012 23:00

Night all. We have swimming first thing, then are off to a family get-together for the day. Have some Wine ready for me when I get back!
