Come on in and enjoy the company!

I thought about emailing them a reminder last night but thought "Na, I sent them one last week with all of the notes, plans for the night, etc., they don't need reminding."

oh scout what a rubbish end to your seniors Sad - is MrScout still going to put a very tired TS to bed?

Scout19075 · 11/07/2012 20:10

I came home and got a very tired Toddler to bed. MrScout called me around 7:20 asking where I was -- he was at the school to collect Toddler. Keep in mind I emphasised "Sooner rather than later" to collect a very tired, grumpy Toddler and 7:20 when the meeting ends at 7:30 is not early in my book.

Oh well. Toddler's asleep, I've eaten dinner. In few minutes I'll get myself some ice cream then carry on with my to do list/flying.

Pin, bessie?

Speaking of pin -- Pinterest is very addictive. How can I find people to follow (or snoop on)?

scout I am Bessie Cat - why not follow me, or have a nose at my boards & see who I have reprinted things from?

carrotsandcelery · 11/07/2012 21:35

Ha ha! I just pmed you Scout with my Pinterest name and made the same suggestions. If you start with us then you can network out from there I should think.

AdoraBell · 11/07/2012 21:42

Scout

Sorry you had a wasted journey with TT( Tired Toddler), so rude of them to not turn up with out telling you.

My phone is auto correcto into Spanish and driving me nutre, shall post when I get back home

carrotsandcelery · 11/07/2012 22:17

Oh dear Adora is it driving you loco?

Scout19075 · 11/07/2012 23:03

Someone give me a swift kick to bed.

It's swimming day tomorrow, I really must sleep!

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 11/07/2012 23:35

I will boot you if you boot me Scout. I will regret this tomorrow.

I have worked for ages on my own "design" and dh has just told me it looks like a cable tie. I don't know whether to be deeply offended or to appreciate his honesty. Hmm

I will post a pic tomorrow and ask for your honest opinions instead. I don't want to make a tube of myself posting it on my fb beading page if it does, indeed, look like a cable tie Blush

AdoraBell · 12/07/2012 00:45

It was, indeed, making me loco Carrots The last straw was trying to type "will post later" and it changed to "Williams post later" which isn't even Spanish!
Anyway, lunch out has been had, DDs had fun playing, errands have been run and all dogs are couped up in the kitchen so OH can drive straight in. Puppies are sitting to attention (too cute for words) and all I need to do now is get dinner ready, defrosted batch cooked curry and have a final tidy up.

Have to stay home tomorrow so I'll get the DDs to make cakes.

Scout19075 · 12/07/2012 09:05

Toddler woke up again in the night (around 1-ish) and it was an hour of "back to bed" (there's usually 10 to 30 minutes between up/down when he gets up in the night so it's not constant but enough to disrupt the sleep). He must have gotten up again because I woke up around 4-5 a.m. and he was laying on my arm, snuggled into my non-existent boob, sound asleep. I couldn't move and didn't have the heart to wake him. He "woke up" around 5:30-ish, crawled half way down my bed and curled up -- so I covered him with a blanket, positioned myself so MrScout wouldn't accidentally kick Toddler in the head and went back to sleep myself. He must have been asleep when he came in and snuggled because he was Bunnyless and Bunny comes with him when he's awake.

He's bright and chipper this morning so he must have had a good sleep curled up with me.

I sympathise with the broken sleep scout but i am a bit envious of the snuggle. Ds doesnt do it now after all the sleep training and i do miss it. I daren't risk it though so just snuggle at bedtime in his room.
Adora i hope someone sorted out your autocorrect. Have you seen the website of autocorrect miscorrections? It is filthy but hilarious and always worth a look if you feel a bit flat.
I slept until 9am! Shock
Dh kept ds going and didnt let him wake me but had to leave at 9 as the latest he can be at work is 10. (flex hours but core of 10 til 4 i think).
I am ridiculously grateful.
Ds and i are going to see ice age 4 today. I promised as dd saw it on hols but they only had a 3d showing and ds is terrified of them. We invited a friend but they are away for the day and others are on hols. I am kicking myself for not having the phone no of the wee boy who will be in his class as we could have invited him. I am quite happy with just the two of us but ds is ready for some company his own age.

Scout19075 · 12/07/2012 12:46

Oh dear, he's resisting rest again. But I know he's tired -- broken night, swimming, eye rubbing, ear scratching, yawning. It's going to be another long afternoon, isn't it?

CatsInChaos · 12/07/2012 14:10

Hi all, I had to pick up DD and put her in the pram --although I was told not to-- Hmm sometimes it is impossible to do as you are told!

I may need to go shopping for a couple of food items although I'm not quite sure how it will go as DD is with me and I should only use one arm. At least she is starting to do what she is told some of the time. I won't buy much anyway.

Last night we let DD sleep in our bed, I know that's not ideal but sometimes you just do what you can to get sleep. Wink

Scout19075 · 12/07/2012 17:05

Oh dear, please help Toddler and I survive the next (approx) 90 minutes. Someone's going to bed early.

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 12/07/2012 18:32

Sorry I am too late Scout. I hope you made it through. It can be a very long day when they are in that sort of state.

We went to the cinema and happened to bump into friends so spent the day with them. It was lovely. Ds really enjoyed having company his own age, as did I, although my twitchy face has returned Hmm

I suspect it is a nervous thing rather than a sleep thing.

House is a horrible tip. I will have to do some flying tomorrow.

Scout19075 · 12/07/2012 19:28

I started bedtime around 6:25 after four Shock episodes of Ben & Holly from the new DVD that arrived today. The B&H really helped him calm down and relax. He becomes another child around 3:30/4:00-ish when he hasn't had a nap but no way am I putting him down then because he wouldn't get to sleep until well past 9:00 and he still gets up, on average, around 6:00 so then we'd have a vicious day tomorrow. I haven't long left him and MrScout just got home and said he could hear him chattering so he was going to go and give kisses/cuddles. I told him he better not wind TS up or he was going to deal with him while I ate my dinner in peace.

I have found my two countertops. I had hoped to go through the two cabinets underneath and the cabinet under the sink but with Toddler around and in a mood it just wasn't going to happen. So I'll think about one or two of the cabinets tonight after I finish scrubbing the stove and de-greasing (blurgh) the KitchenAid and breadmaker. I have so little counterspace it saddens me. My table is nearly reclaimed -- I need to get a few more plastic storage boxes to finish finding it (I have things on it in groups by how they'll be boxed).

Even though I didn't get to finish my kitchen counters/cabinets I have done/finished a lot of Toddler crafts -- like gluing string onto the mobile (butterfly), cutting out the train tickets he made (for pretend play with his trains), cutting out the trains he colored today for gluing a train scene tomorrow and cutting out the parts of the life cycle of a butterfly (to more-or-less finish our caterpillar/butterfly "theme." I've hung up the astronaut he made the other day.

I am tired.

Envy at scout's KitchenAid

I also went to see the physio after work today about my hip & he has told me to stop running for a couple of weeks (I can continue Shredding) and do some stretches/exercises a couple of times a day - do please feel free to remind/hassle/nag me about doing them!

I appear to have a cold

carrotsandcelery · 12/07/2012 19:44

Well done for surviving it all Scout. I have plonked ds in the bath to wind down after an exciting day.

I feel a bit agitated and have no idea why. Dh is home but I don't know where which is odd. I can't seem to settle.

We are meeting friends at a soft play centre tomorrow. It doesn't happen often these days because dd is far too old for them and ds is beginning to get too big as well. My friend's son is just 5 though so he should still be interested and keep ds going. He needs a really good run around and because of the weather the park is a bit too slidy to really go for it and belt about.

carrotsandcelery · 12/07/2012 19:46

Oh cross posts bessie. That has been grumbling away for a while now. I am glad you saw someone. I will try to remember to remind you.

There are a lot of colds going around. Our whole village seems to have one.
