Both girls in bed by 645 Grin Does anyone want to guess what unearthly hour they will wake us tomorrow?! Sad

AArrrggghh · 26/04/2012 19:03

I'll have a go at guessing 5 or 6.00am.

I still have 3yr old rampaging around causing chaos.

Scout19075 · 26/04/2012 19:36

Toddler's been up since about 5-5:15. ARGH. That's when I noticed abdomen pain. He was manic with tired by the end of swimming and ended up having a four hour Shock nap afterwards (which I had to wake him from -- I'd have done it sooner but I fell asleep, too). I try to keep to the normal bedtime and routine, though, or there will be chaos.

Scout19075 · 26/04/2012 19:39

Though to be fair his bedtime seems to have gone from 6:30-7:00 to 7:00-7:30. Unfortunately he's usually a boy with an internal clock and tends to (but not always) wake up around the same time every day no matter what time he goes to bed.

bessie26 · 26/04/2012 19:40

Thank-you for the storage porn thing arti - I am just a little bit in love with Pinterest (where strangely, I'm not Bessie, I am me) and will now spend hours repinning & dreaming up ideas Grin

Scout19075 · 26/04/2012 19:43

MrScout's just called. He had a Governor's meeting tonight, which is in YOUT near his old job. Anyway, because he's over there he's asked if I wanted a Chinese from the good Chinese place. WAHOO! I haven't had a Chinese since the great food poisoning incident of 2011 (from the local place that we no longer visit thanks to that incident that floored both MrScout & me and MrScout's incident of 2010). I had already started the mince for spag bol so finished cooking the meat and am cooling it down before putting it in the fridge. We'll have it tomorrow instead. And while Toddler was having his dinner I pulled burgers from the freezer and put them into the fridge for tomorrow so I guess we'll have those on Saturday.

Mmmmm, Chinese take-out. Grin

bessie26 · 26/04/2012 19:46

My girls usually wake up at the same time regardless of when they go to bed too scout. They have both had a busy day today, no nap this morning for DD2 as we all went swimming, and DD1 missed her afternoon nap as her & DH went to find a playground (while DD2 & I slept Grin)
I've been feeling really tired lately, coincidentally have regular blood test booked for next week to check my thyroid meds are ok.

bessie26 · 26/04/2012 19:49

Envy of Chinese take-away!

Hope you have a reasonable night zoo DD2 has been fairly snotty today, so I reckon I'll be lucky with 6am!

Scout19075 · 26/04/2012 20:41

Slightly disappointed in our take out tonight. Sad

AArrrggghh · 26/04/2012 20:58

What did you have Scout?

Scout19075 · 26/04/2012 21:01

We both had chow mein and rolls but we both said it wasn't as good as we remember.

carrotsandcelery · 26/04/2012 21:09

Mine wake at the same time no matter when they go to bed too. We can even be at a wedding and go to bed at 1am and they will get up normal time Shock

Dh is out tonight so I am amusing myself tonight.

We have the hospital tomorrow so I have just made sure ds's book is in order. We are moving to a different psychologist so we don't know what sort of records she wants us to keep yet. We have met her before though and both liked her (she sat in on the initial sessions) so there is not the anxiety there might be going to a new person. She is going to meet with ds on his own soon to assess him further so I am interested to hear what she has to say.

carrotsandcelery · 26/04/2012 21:11

Shame about the takeaway Scout. Sad

There is a takeaway in the city that we love and I would be Sad Sad if it didn't come up to scratch.

AArrrggghh · 26/04/2012 21:16

Hope all goes well tomorrow carrots.

I will need to go to bed soon as I have a headache and DD will probably wake us in the night. I have DH home tomorrow so at least I will have a bit of RL support if things get difficult.

Scout19075 · 26/04/2012 21:20

The year we were married MrScout had his license taken away (medical) and so on Friday nights, after I collected him from work, we'd stop for a take-away from that place then come home and watch American Idol and eat. It was our mini "date night" in. After he stopped working in YOUT we started getting Chinese locally but after the food poisoning I'm weary of it. MrScout said to me tonight "it got me twice" but as I explained I'm home with a Toddler alone 16-18 hours a day, I can't afford food poisoning.

Just a bit bummed out it wasn't as good as the last time we had it (14 months ago or so).

Scout19075 · 26/04/2012 21:20

Good night, AArrrggghh. (What should we call you?)

carrotsandcelery · 26/04/2012 21:29

Night AArrrggghh. I hope you sleep well and tomorrow you are called Yay! Smile

Thanks for the good wished for tomorrow. I am sure it will be fine.

AArrrggghh · 26/04/2012 21:30

Night Scout
I might return to being Cats tomorrow but will see how it goes.

AArrrggghh · 26/04/2012 21:31

Night carrots

Scout19075 · 26/04/2012 21:37

Tempted to go to bed when A.I. finishes.

Oh, I blessed my friend with clothes ages 12-18 months for her son who is about to move up to that size. I feel really good about it, too.

carrotsandcelery · 26/04/2012 21:46

I have one friend who I particularly like giving ds's outgrown clothes to as her ds is in the all the time. I see her at least 3 times a week and he is always in something that was once ds's. It does make you feel good to see the stuff being used and to know that it has saved them some hard earned cash too.

carrotsandcelery · 26/04/2012 21:48

I am tempted to go to bed too but fear being awake at 4am.

I have only had 1 1/2 cups of Brew today so I am hoping I don't lie awake with my mind racing.

Scout19075 · 26/04/2012 21:51

Friend was in my pre-natal class (where we met) then "ran into" each other at swimming class two years ago and have been friends since. Her DD is three weeks younger than Toddler and they are friends in the way toddlers are friends. We also get together regularly with the three kids so I'm sure I'll end up seeing LittleFriend in the clothes (Toddler will also regularly ask about LittleFriend as well as Friend).

I guess she's my first "mummy friend" (man I hate that term).

carrotsandcelery · 26/04/2012 21:59

Most of the people I spend my time with are "Mummy Friends" these days but the friendship builds to much more than just being friends because you have dcs of roughly the same age or whatever. Some of my "Mummy Friends" are my closest friends nowadays.
