Thought I'd Shiny a new chat thread for us!

I had a spare bit of time between jobs and by the time I walked home I would have to walk back again. And just for a change it is raining! Our local river looks like it may burst it's banks.

It's been wet here, too. We're going to go to Parent & Toddler tomorrow and I hope the run around the village hall will be sufficient enough for Toddler.

Carrots I can't remember the last time I went to the pub! :( I don't drink, but that's not the point, is it?
As far as costumes go, I want to make some of these:
costumes They do loads and show you how to make them. We are going to a camper show in a couple of weeks and the theme is Disney so I want loads of dressing up stuff for the girls. I have just bought a Snow White outfit off Ebay for lollipop so am going to dress Muddles up in a red fleece, pad it out and stick a brown stalk and leaf on the top and she can be the poisened apple!!!!

Woke at six this morning, went back to sleep heavily and overslept . Woke at just before 9 with a headache and eyes streaming (they are painting the internal corridors at my apartments with the stinkiest oil-based paint imaginable). Currently downing Earl Grey tea and paracetamol!

Camper - I love the apple idea. Would Muddles wear a headband? If so you could put the apple leaf on that ( Like the carrot outfit in your link).

I love your link by the way. Think the little gnome/dwarf is also really cute! ( another easy Muddles costume, perhaps without beard?) Or You and Mr Camper could be overgrown dwarves to Lollipop's Snow White and Muddles apple - that would be funny! (and easy to do!)

I don't often drink Camper. It isn't the point at all. It is just being out of the house and in good company.

I am in such a stew that I have had to write a to do list so that I remember all the things I need to do. I keep getting up and heading down the hallway and by the time I get there I have no idea what I was heading off to do!

I think I will have a go at ds's breathing exercises.

ds has been back to the doctors.off rest week.back again fri if still not right.he is making progress but not eating enough keep a sparrow going

dp is around today and tomorrow so may not be on here much/at all

its a bit make or break so fingers crossed we can pull it round

kits came in for 2hours last night and are def improving.i think around an hour is enough tehm they start go bit crazy at the excess space but babysteps
am hoping to have them full intigrated by this time next week then its into collars with bells ready for outside adventures the week after

I am having a really bad day. Lol is being a bit of a pain, but I am blowing things out of proportion, I know I am. For example, she just wants to hug but this involves climbing all over me which is doing my head in. She has just pestered me to paint her toe and finger nails. I've done them all and she now says she doesn't want it on and is having a paddy! Just because I've told her she can't touch anything while it's wet. We got the play doh out earlier. She has a mat to use it on so we don't get it on the carpet. No, not today we don't! Aaargh!!!!! It's partly the weather. We are out in the sticks and I don't drive. It's either a 50min walk into town, or a 10min walk to the bus stop and £3.20 to go 2 miles and back. :( Not that that matters as I have no money either. It's pay day today but we only have one card for the account.

And now we're sat watching Toy Story 2 and there's no way I can sort their toys out for donation now!!!!! :(

Help! 3 yr old DD painting self with yoghurt , Why ?
Why do they think of doing these strange things?

I need to put washing machine on in a minute otherwise DD will run out of clothes because she daily covers them in yoghurt spills.

Weather is not that great today is it Scout. We have wind and rain now.

Of course it stops raining when Toddler goes for a late nap and now that I'm about to wake him to go to the launderette the heavens are about to open up again. ARGH!

Hello!

I got fed up and, despite my enormous list, took the dogs off out up a hill in the rain. It was lovely and now I feel a bit more myself again.

Camper I live in the middle of almost nowhere too which I usually love but there are times when it makes life tricky. Can you face getting on the rain gear and getting out there for a romp around?

Toy Story is the work of the devil as far as decluttering is concerned. Toy Story 3 is a bit better although very scary. Spoiler Alert At least at the end Andy gives his toys away so they can be loved.

Cats ds came out of school yesterday covered (and I mean covered) in white paint. If it is not paint then it is also yogurt. And don't talk to me about mud.

I am about to go to a children's party in jeans covered in mud. It is an outdoor party and it is bucketing down with rain and I know I am going to get soaked and covered in mud again so I can't see the point in changing. I will put on clean dry jeans to go to my class tonight

Oh cr@p -- Thunder. Nope, not going to do the laundry. I'm afraid of thunderstorms. Well, not like I used to be but I still don't like them and tend not to go out unless I'm already out (like camping). For four years before moving to the UK I lived in Tornado Alley and we had the most intense thunderstorms every night for an entire season (spring into summer). I hated it. Also had a tornado form over my flats (it didn't touch down, but there were three funnels forming) and since then I'm back to hating them again. I try not to let the fear show but choose to be inside away from windows as much as possible. Toddler, on the other hand, loved them last year and would stand in the doorway in the rain with MrScout and laugh.

A friend of mine lives in Houston and we are shocked by the tornadoes, hurricanes, heavy rain and hailstones she experiences. The only thing that is more impressive here is the snow!

I have discovered I have a precious 15 mins more to play with than I thought thanks to my ddad helping me out with my car. Yay!

Ds is having a hot choc and a HUGE pancake and then we are off out again, fully wrapped in waterproof gear

zoo sorry to hear things got a bit fraught. I hope they improved.

I have been outside in the cold and wet again for another 2 hours and then inside learning more jewellery techniques again so I am only just in and having some soup for tea and to warm me up.

Days like today make me wonder why I moved to England and had a baby. Brrr.

Dh is even moaning that it is cold here. I have been wet and cold so often today that I am just shaking with the cold no matter how warm I get.
