I know the feeling! I could SO do with a lie down (6 hours sleep last night and not enough on previous nights). I have worryingly been getting a few tiny chest pains so think I had better chill for a while!

OP posts:
liveinazoo · 17/02/2012 15:59

have a break for a bit honey

BlackCatTryingToFly · 17/02/2012 16:05

I'm o.k. I think it's a combination of stress/worry the DC being difficult and not getting enough sleep.

Hi Everyone! Welcome Mary I hope you enjoy the thread. Babysteps sounds perfect for your situation. One box at a time, 15 mins at a time and you will be sorted in no time.

It has taken me ages to catch up on the thread. Everyone has been very busy. I have been to the cinema with dh to see "The Woman In Black". I used to teach the novel and have taken pupils to see it at the theatre too so I was interested to see what they had done with it. I am glad I went in the morning and have time to recover as it was EEEEEEK!

Dd and I are off to the stables in a minute but I thought I would pop in and say hello. I am in a bit of a panic about tea as we won't be in until 6.30 and there is nothing half prepared or in the slow cooker. I am the only one of the people I am feeding tonight who had pasta pesto last night so we might be having that again today Blush

Scout19075 · 17/02/2012 16:20

zoo I so want to curl up, too. I think I might have to go to bed at a reasonable time early tonight.

BC Please be good to yourself.

Toddler won't get up. He's awake but very content playing with his bunnies and reading his books. It does make it hard to get stuck in, though, since I keep going up to see if he's ready yet.

carrotsandcelery · 17/02/2012 16:22

BC is this something you get often or is it unusual? Have a wee lie down and try a Rennie or similar incase it is indigestion. If it doesn't pass get yourself to your gp or A&E for an ECG. It is not something to be ignored BC.

Dh had one a few years ago as he was having pains (The same year my dad had a heart attack so you can imagine the state I was in). He was taken in and monitored for a few hours but they decided it was because he was so fit. They told him they often got this with athletes and he has never shut up about it since. I didn't reckon being so athletic was all that if it landed you in hospital on a heart monitor.

BlackCatTryingToFly · 17/02/2012 16:38

They seem to have gone since I've been sitting here for a while. I've asked DH to do tea so I am just going to chill as much as I can.

I can't remember having them before. I'm not too worried though as they only lasted for a couple of seconds each time. If they come back though I will tell DH.

BC, I second carrots advice. As someone born with a faulty heart I say do not ignore chest pains. The doctors, even the A&E ones, would rather you go in and it be nothing than ignore it and it be something (and I say this as someone who went to A&E with chest pains that turned out to be nothing). Because I was born with a bad ticker, and therefore at the doctor a lot growing up for tests & check-ups, I've learned to know my body and, most importantly, listen to it. Please listen to yours and take care.

Scout19075 · 17/02/2012 17:07

HL toys seem to be a success though that phone box may need to disappear. It's like the cash register -- he's loving it but the scanner (which I couldn't test drive before buying) may drive me over the edge.

What's the house like? Can you just unpack & relax or does it need work doing to it?

Hope you are ok BC

I've just realised DH is going to the supermarket on Sunday (before he swans off for a week) so I need to do meal plan & shopping list

BlackCatTryingToFly · 17/02/2012 18:03

I'm fine, I had a look at our NHS book and I don't have any of the bad symptoms. I have had no more pain since earlier. Smile

moving on....
i nodded off!sat down for a rest and next thing i knew kids were asking when they could have dinner and wanted cornflakes and blueberries.looked at clock and said 5.45!Shock.least their request was easy and didnt take long

hoping to get them down bit early tonight i need some quiet time.feels slike its been a avery long day and althoug i still feel tired its more of a weary mental exhaustion than something sleep will fix

stables in the darkcarots?

liveinazoo · 17/02/2012 18:40

have i scared you all away?

bessie26 · 17/02/2012 18:49

Nooooo zoo no caffeine for me after lunchtime! Red Bull is gross anyway, unless mixed with vodka!

I have a nice bottle of wine & some choc in the fridge to help me through the boredom of meal planning.

Here's a puzzle for you. DD1(3.4) was just making cups of tea in the bath & was adding "cathaway" to them. Apparently it makes your teeth all better when they hurt, and it comes from cows. WTF is she on about? It's really bugging me!! Grin

BlackCatTryingToFly · 17/02/2012 19:08

I'm still lurking although I did go off MN for a bit as it was loading really slowly for some reason Confused.

bessie I haven't got a clue what cathaway is, sound like it could be alcoholic?

My DD is going through a copying stage so we need to be careful about what we say.

Sorry, zoo, I was doing bedtime with TS. He's down now. No fuss.

I need to make dinner for MrScout and I. Does anyone know anything about LeCrueset?

bessie26 · 17/02/2012 19:15

Hmmm.. Apparently it can make your bottom better too, and I told her about it!

bessie26 · 17/02/2012 19:17

scout isn't that the expensive stuff you can put on hob or in oven & is pretty enough to serve from?
