Think I got loads done today but probably am fooling self.
Night in with wine I think. Am feeling very virtuous having put slow food in bottom oven. not even thought about Xmas cards etc. must make proper list.

Afternoon all. Poorly DS1 here, he has reacted badly to his jabs yesterday and is running a temperature - dreadful night's sleep last night, it was like musical beds trying to get everyone to have some sleep!

Today DH, DS2 and I went Christmas shopping while DS1 was at preschool, I think we are about two-thirds done with shopping now. Next thing is cards.

Mini - i'm on the wine here too.

Ali - poor DS1, hope everyone sleeps better tonight.

I'm not sending cards anymore, well apart from about 5 for people overseas who don't have internet/email/fb. Gave up a couple of years ago. Saves lots of stress.

Fraught walk round block, DS2 meltdown + fireman carry, not fun. Drinking wine.

DS1 went to bed much happier, he perked up over bathtime and drank about a gallon of milk which should help him sleep as long as he isn't up every hour weeing
He is so lovely and snuggly, I read him his story in my bed - big treat! - and then he nearly dropped off in my arms :):)

We are looking at one more school in the morning and then doing the application, he seems so little

Anon - we arrived at holiday airport late with 2DC's. Had to get hire car and drive to hol apartment. Was bit of a nightmare as we couldn't find it and were driving around in the dark. DC's just fell asleep so they didn't care. Found eventually though and had a good hol. Take a decent map!

We've just booked our flights for next year too, never been so organised before. Need to sort out the car hire still - and with 3 car seats might not be as easy as last time.

I love Jersey, actually I love all the Channel Islands. So close to home really, we should go there. I am sure you can fly from Stansted as well... Hmmm

Anon - not been to Portugal though have friends who go often as their parents have apartments there. Sounds lovely.

I love Jersey particularly & have friends who live there. My brother is thinking of moving there (from Bermuda) so they wanted to visit for a recce. I really hope they do!! Though i'd love another trip to Bermuda before they leave but can't see it happening with 3 DC.

Think my 4th toe is broken. bruised & swollen. sat here with arnica & ice on it. Am limping, not cool.

HMHB - they sound strict at your pool! DS1 regularly escapes us when we go as a family and none of the lifeguards have said anything!

Lazy day here today. DS1 is still poorly so we are keeping him inside, he has got a cold which has gone to his chest and his asthma has flared up. He is coughing non-stop and hardly eating anything. Today he has had an apple, a bowl of icecream, some celery and hummus. Not so bad perhaps, but this is day 5 of not really eating and he has got noticeably thinner - he is quite a skinny thing anyway! :(

Not sure what I will do tomorrow about preschool etc. Gah.

FIL has gone home, he is a funny fish sometimes, hasn't got his band rehearsal until tomorrow night but is worried about getting stuck in traffic and doing some practice at home. Bear in mind he is retired now so could practice all the time if he wanted. funny man.
