Morning everyone,

I didn't know if pmpy would get on today and I didn't want the thread to run out of space for our chat housework musings so thought I would create another one.

Hope you don't mind pmpy!

xposts Whoknows!!

Yes, I'm guilty! It was me who started thread originally in Aug 2009 I think (shortly joined by reprobates PA and Ellie and others) And we're still going strong!! Amazing!!

[Thinking about it though, my house should consequently be gleaming and devoid of clutter now shouldn't it??? which it sort of ...um ... isn't ....] Blush

Off to monitor maths homework ...

ColdHeartedBitch · 28/02/2011 16:08

blimey SC - I have been transiently on the thread since almost the beginning then. School report - lacks consistancy, must try harder.

Still got stooopid migraine. Today have been trying to sleep it off. Still feel like death though which sucks. Flying will be reduced to sorting school bags ut for tomo morning only.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 28/02/2011 16:18

Yes

Dinky=Ogre=WhoKnows.

LinzerTorte · 28/02/2011 16:55

Still in a slightly stressed and in a strangling mood. This, however, is entirely my own fault and I have failed to stick to my rule of only ever providing plain pasta for guests. I thought mini pizzas would be a fairly safe option (even checked beforehand that everyone would eat them) but both visiting boys took one bite and announced they didn't like them. I've offered them chicken as an alternative (also cooking, as it was the meal I'd originally planned for tonight before I thought pizza might be a better bet), but they don't want that either. Have been doing my usual muttering and ranting about children who don't eat my food (lost on the visitors, who don't understand English), so DS tried to cheer me up by telling me that I was the "best mummy cook in the world".

Have just put the chicken on the table. Asked both boys if they would like some, but they turned up their noses and both told me "I hate chicken". I am restraining myself.

swanriver · 28/02/2011 17:13

linzer dh never fails to remind me that supper "when I was a boy" consisted of a wooden board, some salami, some ham, some cheese, bread and some salady type ingredient. What horrid little boys - they must be used to some very formulaic spread (not as in sandwich spread ifysim)
Do you think they were just showing off to ds?
I dread to think what my children are like in other people's houses. Dd once came home and said (disclaimer - I mayhave told you this boring story already, sorry) Mummy, she gave me SOUP. It was disgusting. It had bits!!!! (friend in question is an amazingly good cook of German Canadian extraction Hmm

Taken dd singing and back.
Have enrolled both twins in Ballet class. She was telling me about a boy of eight who had joined and was now the Star of her class 2 years later. I do not think ds2 will fit into this category, alas.

Stillchuckingit · 28/02/2011 17:48

Swan going to evening meeting so won't be back on here tonight - just wanted to say "good luck for tomorrow"!! Hope you get the choice you wanted.

Ihate and Balinderry congrats on very productive days

Ogre Wine Wine think you have major task ahead in March judging from number of posts on other thread - passes over more Wine Wine

And to Linzer too Wine with dose of patience and calm

CHB sorry to hear you are still suffering. I'm with you in spirit on drive for consistency!! Not my strong point.

Got to go, waves to everyone else and see you tomorrow

LinzerTorte · 28/02/2011 17:49

swan That sounds very similar to the meal that DH and my ILs still eat in the evenings - I often give the DC something similar (bread, cheese, ham, tomatoes, cucumber, etc.) as it's very quick and easy and I know they'll eat it. Being a civilised British person Wink I give it to them on plates, but DH still eats his evening meal off a wooden board.

LinzerTorte · 28/02/2011 17:50

Thanks for the Wine SC - much needed this evening! Perhaps I should have started on it earlier. Grin

missjulie · 28/02/2011 18:24

Hello lovely ladies!
How is everyone today?

PA well done on the tidyitis! Hope it is contageous! I need some!!!!!!

Thanks linzer, shall keep looking! Don't want to miss you guys! I do go to one baby group still, on a Thursday morning, we go to the local hydrotherapy pool, which we really enjoy. I was just doing far too much, i really was, we were doing something each day, and i just ran myself into the ground!

My word, everyone has been busy today, makes me feel Blush

chb - you poor love, still got a bad head :(
I woke up with a banging sore head today, but thankfully it only lasted for about an hour or so! Phew!

linzer, hope you are feeling less stressed hun! Love the comment from your child!!! (Awwww!)

swan - ballet, wow, how lovely!

So, today got off to a real BAD start! Poor DD woke at 3am screaming her lungs out, and crying, oh what crying! Those damn top teeth coming through, are really upsetting her, but only in the middle of the night. So, dosed with neurofen for kiddies, bonjela, chewed on a bicipeg, and on her cold teething ring/snail thing i keep in the fridge, and she had lots of lovely cuddles with her mummy, and that seemed to sort things! Didn't get to sleep, either of us until 5am!!!! So today off to a wonky start!!!
Our morning started at 2pm!!! Blush
done list :
Both washed, dressed, fed. Sink shined. Hoovered. Neighbour popped in briefly. Went for a nice walk (At 5pm!) to see the chickens and horses, and got some lovely photos of a horse sticking his head right in the pram again to say hello to DD!!! Came home, had some soup, DD napping. Replied to various texts, emails, FB messages, and now find myself on here! Must get off my backside and go and do some stuff, plenty to do here! That's about it for us today so far i'm afraid, but then, we have only been on the go for around 4 1/2 hours!!! Blush

Catch you all later
xx

missjulie If you haven't spotted WhoKnows' post with the link to the new thread yet, we're over here!

missjulie · 28/02/2011 18:56

Thanks linzer!

OverflowingMum · 28/02/2011 19:33

evening all

Back to work/school for all today.
Usual stress of catching up on missed chaos at work LOL

House not too bad, glad I blitzed it last night!

On the "bad Mummy" front though DD3 was in trouble for not doing her half term homeowrk (which I forgot about Blush) but it was "to find out about David Beckham" and present info on A4 sheet....now we did spend lots of time with her reading, and helping her with her writing etc...(she is dylexic, and has Aspergers and struggles a lot with literacy) which to my mind was more useful than knowing obscure facts about David Beckham....but hey!!!

now need to re-boot laundry and have something to eat...

BB tomorrow Grin

elliepac · 28/02/2011 19:37

Evening all! DH has had quite a successful day flying! Unfortunately he is now unemployed which means we living in skintville. No personals tonight as am posting on phone. Have a good night!

OP posts:
elliepac · 28/02/2011 19:43

And last but by no means least a HUMONGOUS thank you to pmpy for this month. It has been exceptionally busy here and she has done a marvellous job. When i was as pregnant as she is i was good for nothing bar sleeping and eating chocolate! We love you pmpy.

OP posts:
missjulie · 28/02/2011 20:40

I second that, thanks PMPY

PositiveAttitude · 28/02/2011 21:02

LinzerTorte · 28/02/2011 21:04

Thank you pmpy for your fab leadership this month and to WhoKnows for taking over the reins in March. Smile

pushmepullyou · 28/02/2011 21:52

Smile thank you - I have really enjoyed it Smile

More than happy to do another month in future, but will reserve judgement on which month for now!

Stillchuckingit · 28/02/2011 23:09

I third it!

Thank you Pushme!!! Good luck with what should be an exciting March for you!! xx

Um - re March thread - sorry to be dim - Do we stay here or go there now? (See baby-steps have already started on other thread) What about rest of this month's steps? Confused

Back from school meeting and find them so frustrating and annoying energising that I am now rushing around Flying as I know I won't sleep for at least an hour and a half yet (dh already snoring). Am starving (dieting) so hopefully will stop me from slumping in front of telly and scoffing second dinner.

G'night all

Stillchuckingit · 28/02/2011 23:12

Oh sorry - ignore that last bit about March thread - am going senile ...see steps starting on Monday 1st!! Confusion partly due to the fact that I can't believe it's March next week - where did February go???

pushmepullyou · 28/02/2011 23:15

SC I posted the extra babysteops last night in case anyone wanted some extras!

Stillchuckingit · 28/02/2011 23:20

Blush thank you Pushme - am never very quick on the uptake at the best of times - I'll stop wittering on and get with it eventually I promise!!!

swanriver · 01/03/2011 00:00

David Beckham, David Beckham Angry OFM
what do they teach them in these schools???

dd's homework was to write a short paragraph about her World Book Day character (no doubt a pointed reminder to some parents that they had to prepare for World Book Day on Friday Hmm I found her looking up Lucy on Wikipedia Shock I mean, what about reading the BOOOOOK[s]..[aargh] I then forced her to listen to several pages of Dawn Treader.

ellie sorry to hear about your dh's situation. Hope something turns up for him asap.

done
PE kit washed and in bags

have to leave very early tomorrow to get to SIL by 8am, so will leave kind dh to do morning run.

Felicitations for March!

NettieISroundlikefiggypudding · 01/03/2011 10:52

Fell asleep last night at 7.10 Blush

Wanted to come back and say thx to pmpy for running this months thread. I've done little flying this month as been away but I have been lurking waiting for signs of baby pmpy arriving.

See you all over in march
