Am on the
now, so really not going to be very productive from now on. Have done the washing up (several times
) and cooked a very nice chicken casserole which we have just eaten, so I am not a complete failure, anyway.
The car is not going to be ready till Monday, which means poor DH has to catch two trains into work again that day and I have to work out how to get DS to a party at a farm several miles away on Sunday. The garage say they have had to send off for a spare part which won't be delivered till Monday. We are getting worried that this is going to be expensive.
Makingchanges - well done on the swimming lesson. Remember how scared you were before the first lesson? And now you are learning breast stroke. Fantastic! I have a friend who learned to swim in her 30s. She swims every week now and really enjoys it.
Swan - I like the easy dinner idea. Am all in favour of easy dinners.
MissJ - oh, that bloody bird and cat! You poor, poor thing. That's really all you need, isn't it? Do you think the bird went up the chimney to get out? (Or the cat ate it, maybe
). It must be really hard to deal with all this without your nearest and dearest at home. I do feel for you. I hope you have family and/or close friends you can turn to. And there's us, of course! This difficult phase with your DD will pass, if that is a small comfort to you. I was describing my routine with DS1 in the first year of his life to a friend today and it brought back how bloody hard it was. Up at 5 every day, busy, busy, busy with child and associated duties (meals, etc), then up half the night with said child as well. It is such hard work and must be extremely hard if you don't have your DH there to commiserate with you. I think you are doing fantastically.
Darts - well done on fitting exercise into your Flylady routine. That is an area where I am sadly lacking.
DS1 is watching an episode of 'Voyager' with DH. DS2 is excavating our messy 'arts-and-crafts' cupboard. Have just noticed the time... it's long past his bedtime.
Enjoy your Friday night everyone (how many of you are having a 'date night'?!)
