Sage green, not a dark one. Any recommendations?

Our living room needs a facelift and I’m thinking of changing the walls from beige to a sage green. I don’t want it to be dark though.

The range of green in the DIY stores is a bit overwhelming and the tester pots never come out like they look on the colour charts.

Has anyone got a similar colour that they can recommend?

Dulux Dried Sage paint in our kitchen. I haven’t tried posting a photo before, hope it works!

And Dulux Guild Green on our stairs.

I love both those colours, OP. The Dried Sage seemed more like a plant colour, suitable for a kitchen, and after 6 years it still brings me joy. There’s more blue, I think, in the Guild Green on the stairs.

Little Greene Boringdon Green is beautiful.

Farrow & ball Mizzle is a lovely green. We had it dulux colour matched.

Colour matched F and B "Bone"

Not sure if they’re darker than you want. My kitchen is all white apart from the walls, which works well with the green.

I found the tester pots quite accurate, as far as I remember.

Out of interest what colour of sofas are you planning? I'm buying new ones so looking for inspiration.

How much light do you have and what direction is the room facing? Green is t icky and in my north facing living room. F and B 'light blue' looks sage green. You could look at 'green blue' also. For something deeper Card Room Green which I also have.

Green is quite tricky to get right. Use testers for sure.

Ooh I like a nice green. Can't remember the green I have in the kitchen. I'll see if I Mum remembers.

Valspar Soothing Sage?

We have Dulux DH Drab in one of our rooms.
The paint shops will mix it for you in the normal Dulux matt finish if you don't want to pay extra for the 'Heritage' paint.

Farrow and Ball Verte de terre.
I've had my kitchen cupboard doors sprayed this colour, it's lovely

Seconding F&B Vert de Terre... looks very sagey and is gorgeous.

I painted one of our rooms in sage green from b&m. It was good quality. If I recall it was literally called sage green.

It's a lovely colour, not dark but deep. Really recommend it.

We have Salix, by Little Greene. Excellent paint, would thoroughly recommend it.

@TripleChins we have dark brown leather sofas that we’ll need to keep a for while longer before they get replaced.

@Lelivre it’s a south facing room with lots of light.

@Towerofsong Soothing Sage tone but just a little lighter is exactly what I’m after.

I think I need a trip to B&Q and B&M to get some testers!

Fired Earth: Verd Antique (similar to F&B Vert de Terre, I think). Really gentle liveable green

My bedroom is valspar pond leaves.

Have you looked at Farrow & Ball Teresa's Green?
