What do you have on the wall above your bed?

We've just redecorated our bedroom and I have no idea what to put on the wall above the bed. We've painted the walls a bluey green and on the other walls we have quite traditional artwork in gold frames which really goes well with the wall colour but the bed is chrome and I don't know what to do with the wall above. It's a pretty big space.

Any ideas?

I'm in the 'not wanting anything to fall on my head in the night' club.
I spent all the bunk bed years with my dc's permanently terrified the top bunk would collapse on the bottom.

@Bookaholic73 it's a Valspar paint called Zinc Blue. It's green rather than blue and I kove the way it changes with the light. In full daylight it seems quite pale but in the evening it's much stronger and really cosy.

These look better and make the wall feel less spacious. Also more comfortable to rest your head on.

I put up these wall stickers. Still very happy with them.

I've got these 3 mirrors above mine. Never had anything above my bed before always had fear of it falling in the night lol. Ok so far 🤞🏻

We have a four poster with drapey things so can’t see the wall.

Nothing - too worried about stuff falling down while I sleep!

I have a very large painting that I commissioned from a local artist in a gold frame that complements the bed frame.

Was bought for a previous property but makes the large expanse of wall look better and glistens in the dark.

We have two black and white photos. I really don’t like blank walls so I would want something there, but it depends on your style and what you like.

Nothing ... not because I am worried about anything falling but just find plain walls quite restful. I do have one large framed photo on one wall but the rest are plain.

A hanging on a curtain pole. It’s a quilted hanging I made decades ago, based on the floor of S Marco in Venice. It’s hung in various places through its and my life, but I think this is one of the best.

Too late to get up and take a picture but if this thread is still active in the morning, I will.

I usually have nothing. Like others, I’ve been startled by a poster in my youth.

Nothing. Not because I'm scared of things falling on my head, but because I like a minimalist bedroom. I have nothing on my bedroom walls at all!

We recently got this and hung it over the bed. DH hung it with triple the amount of hangings as we were both convinced it would kill us in the night. Touch wood it hasn’t so far!

Nothing. A hot light bulb fell on my head and a child. Never risked a repeat.

As a child. No children were hurt in the writing of this post.
