Just that.. recently moved in, walls need plastering in the living room and then need to paint. I'm not arty in the slightest and don't get excited about thi sort of thing, need inspiration!

Chasingsquirrels · 02/07/2021 19:15

Pale lilac

ForgedInFire · 02/07/2021 19:16

3 cream, one dark-ish blue

White. Its north facing and dark. Needs all the bright white it can get.

Dulux Timeless on walls, ceilings, woodwork. House was so grim when we moved in, and also needed replastering; we opted for a blank canvas to start while we thought about colour. (Now decided to sell and think the white is the right choice for that. Next house, though, I’m leaning towards olive green walls/ceiling.)

Can you post a pic of your room? And which way window faces etc. What colour to choose depends on the light and room proportions (and what furniture will be in it)

Agadorsparticus · 02/07/2021 19:23

Timeless. It's very boring but I love it, very calming.

playinghippiefamilies · 02/07/2021 19:25

White, all my walls are. But it’s a small terraced so we need a lot of light. We do have lots of art on the walls though

Crown duck egg on one wall and the chimney breast. Crown mink on the rest of the walls. The mink mixed with some white paint to lighten it on the ceiling. White fireplace and shelves (IKEA furniture) with a beige sofa (chosen to hide the cat fur 😳).

Mine is Dulux Pharaoh's Gold no. 6. It's a nice warm and welcoming colour, not too dark nor too light.
I have a deeper shade of gold on the chimney-beast.

3 beige, one forest green.

Arbadacarba · 02/07/2021 19:41

Light blue.

Luzina · 02/07/2021 19:44

White. Everywhere. It’s a bit of a dark house so helps to have white walls. Lots of pictures everywhere, bright cushions etc.

gibbertyofah · 02/07/2021 19:45

Yeay - a whole 14 posts and no gray :) Mine are nutmeg white as it's a very dark living room.

Letsplough · 02/07/2021 19:47

Light pink

IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble · 02/07/2021 19:51

Some sort of dark cream, was mixed to match background of wallpaper on other walls

DulciUke · 02/07/2021 19:52

Yellow buttercream. I was so tired of years of white walls in rentals, that I wanted color when I got my first house. After 16 years, it's starting to grate though.

Cric · 02/07/2021 19:52

Denim drift (it is a dark blue). We have a very light room.

Cric · 02/07/2021 19:53

Just to add, we have pink bits around the room and we love it!

Ginger1982 · 02/07/2021 19:54

Yellow.

SwedishEdith · 02/07/2021 19:55

White with the alcove behind the books so can't see it so a bit pointless Marine Blue (LG), I think.

MrsCrosbyNRTB · 02/07/2021 19:55

Timeless. It’s quite a small room and this really works. Lots of colourful art on the walls though

girlmama32 · 02/07/2021 19:56

A very pale almost white grey, not too cold not too warm, it's quite calming.
We rent but if we owned I'd have a beige or peachy cream colour I think

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 02/07/2021 19:57

Khaki

LBOCS2 · 02/07/2021 19:59

Inchyra blue. It has a 3.2m x 1.8m window though, so we get plenty of light!
