Just that.. recently moved in, walls need plastering in the living room and then need to paint. I'm not arty in the slightest and don't get excited about thi sort of thing, need inspiration!

Mine's F&B Hague Blue. Also love it. Ceiling is Pavilion Grey. I might wallpaper one wall though. It's west facing I think (sun comes in in afternoon).

It’s a long room and the two end walls are dragons blood and the two long walls are stone colour

sixswans · 03/07/2021 08:33

Valspar Barking Creek, it's a smokey light blue

@ChiefInspectorParker ceiling and woodwork is pure brilliant white, which we have throughout the house on the ceilings.

One thing I will say with Oval Room Blue is that because it's got a black undertone it absolutely sucks the light out of any room I've used it in - we have it in the playroom and it's made it horribly dark. I'd wait and see how you feel with if done, because you may well need the lightness of the lighter ceiling to break it up. I'm genuinely considering redecorating the room we have it in.

Currently an overly yellowy neutral. But don't want to lose the warmth it gives in a lovely dual aspect south facing room. So am going with the blush pink trend as its a more modern update on a warm neutral. Gold and bottle green accessories. Possible a green foliage wallpaper feature wall.

Egyptian Cotton by Dulux, with the chimney breast in Polished Pebble (also Dulux). I love it.

MrsWooster · 03/07/2021 10:15

Magnolia. Every wall in every room! I don’t get the hate towards it; it is a different colour in every position, from lemon, to pink to cool cream.
I also embrace woodchip in the bedrooms-I probably wouldn’t choose it went for the modern equivalent linen texture paper throughout but I’m certainly not stripping it off.
Come at me, stylistas!!

@Puffalicious they could make sense! I'm from Hertfordshire but my family are Scottish so yes! Yes I have 😂

Allthebubbles · 03/07/2021 11:23

@ChiefInspectorParker
We have pure white picture rails and ceiling but oval room blue on the ceiling of the bay window as there is a beam into it.
I'm not totally convinced by pure white but it does keep it brighter overall.
I don't find it too dark a colour but it is quite a large room and we mostly use it in the evening when you want it darker and cosier.

That solves it. You've clearly been here at some point at a random party! The only problem is I just bought the sofas this year and I've not had any parties...Grin

@Puffalicious to funny! I think maybe a lot of the houses are the same layout. But your decor is gorgeous so maybe I wish I had been!

Puffalicious · 03/07/2021 16:10

No, Who, you were definitely here and we bonded over cushion shopping in between the madness and music! There were just too many cocktails for anyone to remember properly.Wink

BarryTheChopper · 03/07/2021 16:51

@ChiefInspectorParker at the moment, brilliant white. I really want a different colour and have been looking at shaded white or strong white.

Our carpet is a similar neutral shade to shaded white though and can’t decide if that would look too matchy matchy.

harryandmarv · 03/07/2021 19:24

One dark navy and the 3 other walls white. I have a desire to paint one wall a burnt orange/ terracotta.

Instagram is good for this if you don’t get enough here!
Treacletoots · 03/07/2021 20:29

Verdigris - a lovely deep grassy emerald green

londonmummy1966 · 03/07/2021 20:32

Farrow and Ball Dix Blue would look great there as it changes from blues to greens depending on the fall of the light. I have it in my hall and all the way up the stairs and it looks fab as the light changes throughout the day. I wouldn't get the rip off though as it is the pigmentation in the F&B that makes the colour changes so wonderful.

RightOnTheEdge · 03/07/2021 20:37

NotMyCat Desert Orchid! ❤️❤️
I really like your wallpaper as well.

Livingintheclouds · 03/07/2021 20:39

Egyptian Cotton on long walls and navy either end (of double living/diningroom about 38ft)
