Just that.. recently moved in, walls need plastering in the living room and then need to paint. I'm not arty in the slightest and don't get excited about thi sort of thing, need inspiration!

Deluxe Vanilla Skies on 3 walls then one wall a khaki green

ipodtherforipoor · 15/07/2021 23:39

2 gold, 2 teal and a feature chimney breast of peacock print wallpaper

Calke Green on the walls and Portland stone (LG) on the ceiling. I love them together. It is a south facing room so really bright.

Incidentally we have oval room blue in the south facing room upstairs and I love it! Totally fabulous colour. But f&b estate emulsion is a nightmare!!!

We've got Zoffany white clay on 3 walls, and fireplace wall is in Zoffany Quarter La Seine. It's a bluer toned duck egg.... gorgeous.

A horrible nasty green which we inherited.

1001 things to do/pay for in this house so it’s staying for now.

Timeless white walls with orange sofa and colourful art.

I’m currently contemplating whether to add colour to one long wall but as pp said I don’t really want a feature wall.

Nw living room, stone 4 paint and paper library. Lovely elegant colour which looks good in morning and evening. Kitchen snug, Ceviche by Little Greene. Everyone comments on it-goes with marine coloured sofa.

Blueberry40 · 11/08/2021 06:15

Ziggy by Valspar- needed a change from white but can’t go dark as the room isn’t light enough. If it was lighter I would have gone for green02 by Lick paints.

Aliceclara · 14/08/2021 23:35

Pearl - Dark by Pretty Green. It's a beautiful sea glass green grey. I love it!

Aliceclara · 14/08/2021 23:36

Sorry Little Greene!

@ShowOfHands

Thank you *@Justgettingbye*

It won't be to everybody's taste but I love colour and patterns and in a world of ubiquitous grey, our house is a bit of sunshine. I'm about to paint my kitchen in papaya playa - pictured - with dark blue cabinets and the original red quarry stone floor.

That papaya playa is exactly the sort of colour I want for my living room! It’s currently white with several paint sample patches on as none of us can agree a damn colour 🤣 we gave up and focused on the bathroom (grey) but we really need to decide before doing the floor and getting the new sofa. I want a really warm bright happy colour!

Gold and teal/navy

1frenchfoodie · 27/08/2021 23:31

It may be worth a look at Craig and Rose French Ochre @SingToTheSky - looks similar to @ShowOfHands gorgeous papaya playa and 50ml sample pots are only £1 right now. I plan on using it for my dual aspect lounge/ diner.

WhingyNinja · 27/08/2021 23:35

All 4 walls are F&B Breakfast Room Green. I love it 🥰

SingToTheSky · 28/08/2021 07:57

Thanks french that’s a gorgeous colour!

Sillysuzie · 30/08/2021 21:46

Mauve. Sounds dull but I love mauve 🤣

Kdubs1981 · 01/09/2021 14:58

Dulux dried sage

ChequerBoard · 01/09/2021 15:12

I posted up thread that we were about to paint our living room in Dulux Heritage Rosemary Leaf and that I was worried it would be too dark.

Well here it is - excuse the dust cloths still being on all the furniture! I love it, it really suits the room and somehow looks much more cohesive as a space than when it was a light neutral (Egyptian Cotton) before.

Another Timeless. We've got a lot of antique wooden furniture and the sofas and chairs are - I suppose - a bit greige. Soft wool throws and plenty of lamps and bookshelves. Then we have two big Persian rugs that we swap over - red in the winter and creamy gold in the lighter months. Our house is the total opposite of current Grin

bettyfloormop · 10/09/2021 20:39

Theatre Room Red by Little Greene and F&B White Tie on one side.

F&B Dutch Orange and White Tie on the other.

LG Acorn. We found it really hard to get the “right” shade of sage green in our living room, but we’re really pleased with the results. Looks great in all lights in all seasons.

I’d bought samples of it for bedroom initially, where it looked properly dreadful.... it’s really hard to guess what’ll work in different rooms.

RicherThanYew · 11/09/2021 19:19

Well that depends on which part you're asking about. The upper walls are a delicate sun bleached off-beige, the lower walls are gently dotted with what looks like windscreen wiper marks of dark grey where the dog has been scratching and then we have a feature wall of mottled mauve handprints and finger marks. I call it hell-chic.

Cahu58 · 05/01/2022 21:45

Crown Wheatgrass. Neutral beige cream. Looks great against white woodwork
