What would you do with these bloody plugs?

So I have the french style console tables so I can’t have a modern shelf or anything,and if I put a tv cabinet there it will be too much. What’s your thoughts?

The lower one is better but still looks a tad ‘dressingtable-ish’ and too high.

What youre looking for needs to be no higher than 24”/60cm or so, otherwise it runs the risk of veering into dressing table territory and then you’re back to the boudoir/hairdressers look.

I’m coveting your kitchen clock by the way.

I think the new unit looks great. I wouldn't change it but you have to do what you think is best!

Don't go symmetrical either side is my advice. But I am rubbish at interiors.

For me, the lower unit is a better size.
I’ve many “controversial” paint colours, because I like them. I’d be hurt if people were as rude about my home as some have been about your yours.... and I’m sure most people would prefer yours to mine!

I agree that the lower unit you've linked is the better of the two and would look very good there. I think the difficult thing is it being a long flat wall, rather than having alcoves. I think I would put maybe an ottoman or similar on one side and a spare armchair on the other side to vary the heights. On the walls either side I'd put a set of small pictures or artwork on one side, not one big piece as it could look lined up with the telly, and maybe nothing on the other side or some shelves/books

Personally I wouldn't want to see my reflection constantly when I was watching tv

Reflected in that sideboard I mean

I really like the room and the tables. I would get rid of one mirror though and pop a cabnet/sideboard under the TV

Maybe just have the plugs removed op, if you don't need or want them. I thought the whole point of having a wall mounted tv was to do away with the need to have anything underneath it, but maybe that's just me.

I love your sofa - I've wanted a chesterfield forever. My only worry is that the back is so much lower than sofas I've always had. Do you find it comfortable?

@GeneHuntgoosedme I know what you mean about the comfort it’s not as comfortable as my last corner sofa but it’s fine with cushions etc. I’m going to I buy this too x
