Looking for inspiration as to what to put on a long window ledge in the living room. There are only so many candlesticks and flowering plants one can use. What interesting art can I put on there? Or what else? I look in the shops and just see a pile of wank. What is tasteful and timeless?

I am also window ledge deficient. And sending my sympathies to @TrollTheRespawnJeremy...every year the struggle is real, and people don't understand the stress we endure.

Sadly no cat either, but here's Colin the cactus, leaning nonchalantly near the window, waiting for the next opportunity to snag my tights like a succulent hoodlum.

Brilliant. Just brilliant. Smile

Shock

Still, nice for you.

Oh and I have Lego technic on my window sill. Tastefully arranged but DS1.

Strictly speaking, this is not a ledge...but is sort of ledge area.

I now discover I'm prone to window sill/seat envy. Envy
Imagine spending winter evenings snuggled up cosily on this, good book, wine. I'd never move.

Winter sitting room and summer sitting room 😂😂😂😂

Ineedmorelemonpledge · 01/10/2017 17:12

God Autumnal that is amazing.

justdontevenfuckingstart · 01/10/2017 17:13

Chardonnay It was a joke!

I do tho seriously have a cactus but mine is called Mexican Pete. I bought it for my late nan, he's in my kitchen now.

AutumnalLeaves38 · 01/10/2017 17:14

How old is your DS1, peachy? Those are really nicely done!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 01/10/2017 17:19
Grin

I thought so.

justdontevenfuckingstart · 01/10/2017 17:22

Chardonnay

It was 5 times.

AutumnalLeaves38 · 01/10/2017 17:28

I'm imagining Colin and Mexican Pete having a stand-off, in a tiny version of a frontier town.

Accompanied by an Ennio Morricone soundtrack.

I am sober.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 01/10/2017 17:34

Is this a stealth boasting thread?

Ineedmorelemonpledge · 01/10/2017 17:43

I love that idea.

I'm rooting for Mexican Pete.

peachypips · 01/10/2017 17:44

He is 9 Autumn. I've given in to the house being a Lego war zone for at least another ten years.

AutumnalLeaves38 · 01/10/2017 17:50

#Team Colin (so as to be fair).

We just need a tumbleweed to blow down Main Street Grin

justdontevenfuckingstart · 01/10/2017 17:50

Mexican Pete for the win, he's backed up by classy dog salt shaker.

Stealth cookbook post. I don't use them obviously.

Ineedmorelemonpledge · 01/10/2017 17:53

Colin has the edge on size but Mexican Pete looks like a battle scarred double hard bastard.

justdontevenfuckingstart · 01/10/2017 17:57

He's seen things. He doesn't talk about them much. Ineed but I know...................

BadTasteFlump · 01/10/2017 17:59

I want crumbs to come back and defend herself Grin

We use our conservatory as a 'summer sitting room' - but in the winter/Christmas it becomes the pool and darts/general messing about room - can I still pretend to be posh though?

Btw my 'winter sitting room' just has a copper lantern on the window ledge - it's on a timer so it looks all cosy as you come down my (extensive - obviously) driveway Grin

The Hairy Dieters?

What fresh hell is this?
