Has anyone been? I'm here this week. I chose it randomly for holiday, as the cheapest flight to spain for me was to barcelona. Then I got a bus down to sitges.

I'm so impressed. Cheap hotels. The hotela arw half the price of the hotels in barcelona. I paid a lot for a hotel in barcelona on my first night here.

It wasn't that nice. no balcony no pool. And it was really expenaive.

I've cow come down to sitges. which is about 40 mins by bus from barcelona. My hotel is half the price if the barcelona one, and ten times nicer. my room has a balcony , it is right beside the beach, has a rooftop bar, a heated spa pool, and rhe best breakfast I've ever had.

I just really wanted to reccomend sitges in spain if anyone is looking for a cheap but great holiday!

OP, you seem to only identify gay couples only as two men/two women kissing, but yet you identify straight couples as any man a woman standing next to one another, in any context (otherwise how would you know the beach was "is all full of straight couples" as you put in your post, unless the entire beach was full of kissing people?)

I am sure you have gay friends, but you may want to examine why gay couples are only 'valid' to you if you see them being sexual with someone of the opposite sex.

Anyway you were the one who seemed hell bent on proving that Sitges isn't a gay destination, with your "proof" of how many gay people (by your assessment) you'd seen. Everyone else was mentioning it in discussion about the holiday destination and doesn't think it matters as much as you seem to.

Bit odd to throw a strop when people mention the thing that Sitges is famous for world wide, as that is surely 100% expected, and its something that shapes the entire place, its like attempting to ban people talking about pyramids on a topic about Egypt.

Oh my good lord. I didn't say it wasn't a gay destination. I said that there is much more going in in sitges than that.

For example, my friend in barcelona comes down to sitges every weekend for beach yoga and an outdoor meditation class.

As already mentioned, there isn’t actually a gay area in Sitges, there is (if its still there) a small straight area.

What a strange way to think. I must say that to the five straight couples sitting here in my hotel bar with me. And yes I definitely know they are straight couples as we have all been talking.
