Thought I'd get in early. Booked flights yesterday for July next year as I need something to look forward to!

I haven't yet but will. With good insurance tho

KangarooKenny · 22/07/2022 08:45

No, but wondering about booking for October 🤔
Covid might be ramping up with it being flu season, so not sure what to do.

Aposterhasnoname · 22/07/2022 09:09

Meeeee, just Greece, but got a lovely room with a private pool for a good price. Nice to have something to look forward to.

Ilovechoc12 · 22/07/2022 12:28

No, can’t think what I’m doing tomorrow.
10 days ago when my children finished school it was either a flight to turkey and risk the planes / airports or Newquay made the decision the day before at around 11:30am!

We went to Cornwall as could look at the forecast and all sun with the heat wave. If weather was bad we were going on a plane …..

Will hopefully go “somewhere” at the end of August depending on the reports of my friends and family. My cousin flight has already been cancelled, my friend has a wild fire in Portugal and couldn’t go in the pool 😬 also with having 4 kids someone could be poorly we usually do last minute things ….

Yes got Mexico at Easter and a month in Spain during the summer.

popcorndiva · 22/07/2022 13:49

Yep Malta late June. Booked a month ago as price was reasonable and gives us something yo look forward to through Winter.

Campolini · 22/07/2022 13:50

Yeah we have Florida booked for May.

Contemplating booking a little week this October coming but can't find somewhere that works with dates/weather kids yet

Who did you book with? Flights on easyJet only seem to run until next April?

Yodaisawally · 22/07/2022 13:52

Not yet but thinking about, we go way on Monday, will book when we get back.

usernotfound0000 · 22/07/2022 13:59

Yes. We have booked Lake Garda for May half term.

HundredMilesAnHour · 22/07/2022 16:36

Booked Australia for next Easter quite a few months ago (literally the day flights became available). Despite this, one of the places I wanted to stay in was already booked out!

CheeseTopping · 22/07/2022 16:45

Yep, cruise in April.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 22/07/2022 16:46

We’re going to Italy next February half term. Does that count?!

WingBingo · 22/07/2022 16:51

Booked a lovely house in Wales for a week in August next year

roxisolerenshaw · 22/07/2022 17:26

Yes, I've booked for next July. I want to go away around Easter as well but not sure where to go so it's helpful to get some inspiration from other posts Smile

WhatHaveIFound · 22/07/2022 17:33

Nothing booked yet but there's a possible overseas wedding to attend this New Year plus we want to take DS on a post A level trip next Summer. He has had a rough couple of years so his choice of destination but also dependent on him being well enough to travel.

JamMakingWannaBe · 22/07/2022 17:35

No, but I booked my flights next week last September and have saved £460 on the price. Wish I had been so organised for Xmas!

JamMakingWannaBe · 22/07/2022 17:36

We'd like to go to Mull at Easter but we're not sure yet if the rising cost of petrol makes travelling there unaffordable.

AverageJoan · 22/07/2022 17:37

I've got a hen do booked to Marbella in May ☺️ keep looking for family holidays but prices for next year seem insane at the moment! Going to keep an eye out

BadPhotographer · 22/07/2022 17:38

No. But will start planning very soon.

LadyLindaT · 22/07/2022 17:40

After my experience this year, I am not sure I will ever go on holiday again!

CheeseTopping · 22/07/2022 18:52

@JamMakingWannaBe
Mull is amazing. Was there last year and we are going again this year. Trip to Staffa is fab.

BaconAndCheeseOatcake · 22/07/2022 18:55

Yep! Flights with Jet2 for May.

FawnFrenchieMum · 22/07/2022 19:00

We’ve booked a jet2 holiday for Sept next year just me & DH (private pool room!, cannot wait!) for my birthday.

Currently stalking EasyJet for flights for May half term, hoping to get some cheapish flights and use my built up free nights on hotels.com for a cheapish half term holiday.

BitterTits · 22/07/2022 19:17

We rarely go on holiday and I don't know where to start. We're restricted to school holidays so the prices seem astonishing.

Any thoughts? DCs will be 13 and 10. They love to swim. Previously we've been on Eurocamp / Canvas holidays but the prices are extortionate for a self-catering caravan.
