Who is waiting for a passport?

I have been so stupid and only applied last week for me and my son!
We go on holiday mid June and sent it off last week!
Sent out old passports back too and not showing as received yet!
Serves me right for been disorganised!
Anyone waiting with me?

We're a bit further along. Applied for ds's renewal on 14th April. They have today said the new one has been printed and will be sent out in the next few days. Glasgow passport office

I am waiting, although it’s not been too long.

I applied for a child’s first passport on 30 march, sent documents on 10 April and with their 2 week wait for post to be recognised they considered the application received on 20 April. I haven’t heard anything yet and we have a holiday booked for 31 May. Really hoping we get it in time. Liverpool office also.

I have seen a few other threads where people have received the passport after 3 weeks so keeping my fingers firmly crossed.

Applied online over Easter, posted my old passport last Tuesday and my new passport has been approved, printed and is ready to be posted back to me today.

I applied online to renew my own passport on 20 April. Posted the old passport on 23 April and haven't heard anything yet to confirm it's been received. It sounds like it might be some time before I get confirmation it has been received?

Applied for adult renewals for my DTs, one went to Liverpool, the other to Peterborough.
Sent the old ones back on 16th, but only the Liverpool one has been approved and being printed. The Peterborough one is still showing as 'send us your old passport' 🙄

Your application won't necessarily go to Liverpool. Mine is currently at Glasgow which is about a 7 hour drive from me

I think timings are really varying depending on where you get told to send your passport. I had two to renew and asked to send them to two different places. One has been checked, approved and printed already. The other Royal Mail tells me they’ve received my old passport, but their systems haven’t updated yet.

Applied 3 weeks ago.. had an update after 4 days saying they had received old passport. New passport arrived today.

We don’t go on holiday until September, and we’re in the middle of moving house (which is going on and on and on) so I’ve applied for mine to be renewed and am having sent to my MILs. It’s just one less stress to think about.

I thought I was getting ahead of the game as well @TheFairyCaravan as we're not due to go away until end July/early August .. but now that you have to allow 10 weeks for processing I'm a bit worried about booking anything!

I just got 3 back, all were around 2 weeks - all had to go to different places. I did online applications and had an online photo code from a photographer l. I’ve heard often delays are using your own phitos2 which are initially accepted online then rejected later.

Does the 10 week period count from when they mark the documents as received?

Is it still possible to pay for a fast track or is that no longer allowed given the backlog? We’re travelling second week of august and application for renewal going in online this weekend. Bit nerve wracking!

I think you can still fast track but that's dependent on appointments becoming available

I've just had an email saying mine is approved! Really impressed I only did the online application on Easter Sunday and didn't send my old passport off until the 21st

@Jmaho looks like Glasgow doesn't have a backlog which is good. Glad ours were sent there

I did online applications and sent 3 passports off on 15th April. They went to 2 different offices because 1 was a 1st adult passport. We had all 3 back by 27th April. I was really surprised given the delays being reported. Sorry for those of you who are still waiting.
