dh and I want to go somewhere really lovely for a weekend for our wedding anniversary this year (end sept). We have rather neglected our anniversary for a few years since dd has been around, we have had a bit of a tough time recently which we have come through and have really sorted out and we are madly in lurve . We would really love to go somewhere relaxing and beautiful and stay somewhere small and intimate and fab. Nothing too designery really, maybe with nice antiques and big snuggly bed and a balcony with a view...

All suggestions welcomed...

Montpelier is mentioned often by colleagues of mine, romantic, cultural, a city but not a huge one, warm, easy to get to by new flights....

CountessDracula · 13/06/2007 11:57

Can someone suggest a nice place to stay in Paris. I have been there three times and hated every minute but DH wants to go and I am willing to try it again just for him BUT it has got to be a nice hotel with good food and nice people and with all the sights within walking distance if possible.

Marina · 13/06/2007 11:59

Granada elicit the same response?

I loved Montpellier but as I bunked down in a hall of residence many years ago I can't recommend anywhere

CountessDracula · 13/06/2007 11:59

OK QUICK UPDATE

NO SPAIN
NO COUNTRY HOTELS
NO MODERN HOTELS
NOTHING TOO DESIGNERY
NO S OF FRANCE WE GO THERE A LOT
NO AMSTERDAM, NAPLES, NY, BOSTON (NO USA IN FACT), NO MOROCCO

MUST HAVE BALCONY WITH VIEW
MUST HAVE VIBE
MUST HAVE FAB AND BIG BEDROOMS
