We're off to Las Vegas for 10 days next week. I can't bloody wait. I'm going to be the grumpiest person who ever lived when we get back.

Enjoymycoffee1981, I haven't but I have priced it up! Have a lovely trip.
Bunbaker, last May was our last chance for a May holiday as we have the 4 year GCSE/A level stretch starting this year. Even Easter is tricky now unless we book a UK mini break. Roll on 2019, I'll be 50 that year and so am going to do something fab.

We had a week in Lanzarote in Feb which was lovely, had a hire car and drove around most of the island. We were not expecting the island to be so beautiful with loads to do.
We have just booked flights for June to Jo'burg and we are hiring a car so we can self drive around Kruger for 8 days then flying to Botswana to go and see my hubby's old home and visit a childrens home his mother helped to start. On the flight home we have a 3 night stop over in Istanbul which we have always wanted to visit and the flight was cheaper having a stop over!
The week before xmas we want to go back to Sri Lanka.

FuckyNell · 27/04/2014 10:54

suze28 · 27/04/2014 11:07

We're going to Brittany for two weeks, staying at the same gite complex we've been to for the last three years.

SpottyTeacakes · 27/04/2014 11:11

I first went to Zante about 9 years ago and loved it. I can't wait Smile

AnyFucker · 27/04/2014 11:35

we went to Tsilivi, first time in Zante for us

loved the turtle watching trips

SpottyTeacakes · 27/04/2014 11:54

That's where we're going and I went before, not sure about a boat trip this time with the dc though tbh

AnyFucker · 27/04/2014 12:03

the boat trip we had was very calm and low key and not too long

it really stayed within Laganas bay (not too keen on that resort) but it's where the boats leave from

quite a few littlies on it

SpottyTeacakes · 27/04/2014 12:05

Oh ok, mine are almost 4 and 17mo. All I remember from the boat trip was the horrible steep slope to get on it Grin

DelGirl · 27/04/2014 12:19

Sicily for just over 2 weeks in June with dd, db, dsil and dm. Can not wait. I'm sure there will be a camping trip at some point but not booked yet

Enjoyingmycoffee1981 · 27/04/2014 13:56

Yes creamy, pretty eye watering, but found a ridiculously good deal about a year ago! Still too much, but last opp before Ds ar school, and then the cost simply becomes laughable!

WildThong · 27/04/2014 14:04

Ibiza for 2 weeks in July, Angry = hot hot hot

Still looking for the October break, probably back to Portugal though

WildThong · 27/04/2014 14:10

Sorry pressed too soon...
sorrell we went to Altura in the East Algarve and it was lovely, quiet compared to the central part. Have you been before?

Bunbaker · 27/04/2014 14:18

I would love to go to Sicily. We are big Montalbano fans and the aerial shots of the area are stunning.

Spinaroo · 27/04/2014 14:31

DD is in year 9, but she will take some GCSEs next year. Her maths teacher has said she is good enough for early entry for maths in year 10. We are still waiting the outcome of the options, but they will do a couple of GCSEs in one year by doubling up the lessons.

yourlittlesecret · 27/04/2014 14:41

Bunbaker We haven't been away May week for 2 years due to GCSEs and AS levels.
DS1 doing A levels this year and DS2 doing GCSEs so we couldn't go at Easter this year. I did give them the oprion but both felt more comfortable staying home to revise.
On the plus side they both finish in June so we can go away early July.
We have booked a week's med cruise (first timers) followed by a week in Majorca.
Can't wait, last summer's holiday seems so long ago....
