Hoping for interviews and offers all round, now and well into next year !

As a teacher I want to reassure you that we will get the information on exams at the same time as you. Like we do every time - no advance warning given. Last year was a compete balls up - not the poor kids fault as they were treated appallingly (I never want to go through a results day again where A students get a D because some computer says so). You'd have thought they'd have planned for this happening again (teachers have been asking for exactly that since Sept). It's a mess. And is going to take years to even out. Sorry to not be more cheery.

Thank you @SeasonFinale and @mumsneedwine. This void must be ridiculously difficult for teachers having to plan for a whole range of possible assessment scenarios amidst all the challenges of remote teaching.

Great news @WithIcePlease. I found it takes a lot of the stress away once they get an offer- having said that it was me that was stressed not my DD!

Congrats to WithIcePlease. There is another uni making offers today too so it may be worth checking track.

It came through track so nothing from Nottingham this evening but it really doesn't matter to either of us right now @SeasonFinale

Been a hard evening for dd tonight- went down the tsr refreshing spiral and ended up in a panic as she watched others getting offers for Bristol and Nottingham. Have tried to reassure her there’s still time, 2 other universities who haven’t started sending out offers and another year if she needs it but think the waiting game is taking its toll on her. It’s so hard for them, especially this year when they’re at home all day and therefore have constant access to the internet.

@MaddieElla it means that they will be generous at a national level. Last year 14% of candidates got A (2019 8%), 39% got A/A (2019 26%), so A level students this year may be 85% more likely to get an A* than their 2019 counterparts.

As I have DC in A level years 2019 and 2022, I am a bit concerned about the knock on from 2 bumper years competing with our Y13s. Will they feel that they have to be generous again?!

@Crimpedcrab - I think plenty of time yet for both Nottingham and Bristol as it seems relatively small batches. I really hope she gets one under her belt soon. Who else is she waiting for? Also got Southampton and Liverpool here but I'm not holding my breath. Liverpool said March - I may have read 'by end of March' on tsr and Soton still interviewing so they will be a while

It is very discouraging hearing how much grade inflation there was last year, it really gets me so angry and sad for this year's cohort. Getting the grades has never been my DD's problem, but everybody getting the grades is.... (and I don't mean those of our dc who have been working their socks off for years for a medicine offer iykwim)

Last night was a bit unnerving as there were a number of Bristol offers on TSR and nothing here yet. Waving to @Crimpedcrab, same boat here!

Same here opoponax. No Bristol or Kings offer here either. Am very worried as a huge number of offers seemed to have been given out on TSR last night particularly for Bristol.

I know it is nerve-wracking @Iamsodonewith2020 but do keep in mind that TSR is just part of the jigsaw and historically Bristol have been offering much later than this.

Looks like more Bristol offers today so hopefully some good news for others on here. Nothing for dd again- agonising wait continues...

Yes, Nottingham offers coming out daily around 6pm. Meanwhile DDs inbox has tumbleweed.
