Maybe his school reference used his shortened name? Or if that’s too reasonable, they’ve stalked him on social media! Wink

We now have all offers in for Psychology. AAA from Birmingham. AAA from Exeter (AAB if firmed). AAB from Nottingham. AAB from Bristol (contextual). ABB Southampton (reduced offer). She definitely wants to firm Birmingham (shame they wasn't AAB if firmed!) and is choosing between Nottingham and Bristol as an insurance. Was previously set on Nottingham but the contextual from Bristol changed things. Bristol is only about 45 minutes from home but wasn't considered as she was so set on Birmingham as her firm, there was no place for an A*AA uni. Hopefully the offer days will help her with this.

@ZandathePanda thank you so much for that info Smile. Handy to have someone on the inside !

They are both excellent unis, zzzzzzzx, it will be a difficult choice. Nottingham is more campus, Bristol is a city uni. Not sure about costs, I think neither are cheap, but Nottingham may be slightly cheaper. But then you’ll have cheaper transport costs to Bristol. Great set of offers, though. Those unis are all AAA for maths except for Bristol’s contextual offers. DS wants a campus uni though.

DD also wants a campus uni so we didn’t even view Bristol (though viewed it with my eldest who didn’t like it). She’s going to try to be open minded but I think she’ll not like it because it isn’t a campus uni.

It’s actually my home town. I don’t live there anymore. I love Bristol but it was never on my radar as a uni for myself. I wanted the full experience of living away. My DS is quite young in his year, young for his age as well. I think and he thinks he’d be happier in a campus uni. Somewhere that feels a bit ‘safer’ somehow.

Anyway, this thread is filling up so I’ve started a new one. This one took around 3 months so it might be Easter before the next one ends!
