I can play the 'In the night garden' theme tune on a toy piano! What can you play on a childs toy piano?

I assume from the fact that you are refusing to engage with me. Kerrymum, that you realize that your personal attack was unwarranted. Good.

I suspect there is also a guardian of the music threads who would point out how my foolish plinky plonking would hardly be classed as music and send me off to find another home for my thread.

And it really has been lovely to have my 'patheticness' confirmed. If you read the thread you'll notice i pondered this also as i sat in the dark at midnight figuring out the notes to 'night garden' to share with my fellow mumsnetters.

Thanks for shitting on a perfectly good humoured thread.

Sex.

I can't think it's good for children to have parents so hung up on their being clever, as it this means nobody in the world can ever laugh again at themselves because it might be disrespectful to your golden child.
I am tragically tone deaf even on a child's piano. I demand a support thread right now! Nobody is allowed to mock. Oooh, no, missus, don't mock, don't mock..

I didn't even notice it was in G&T. Just saw the thread title, read it and thought it was fun.
I never read G&T because I get tired of people trying to make out its as hard as having a disabled child.

I like the sqeauzy octopus playing. Look forward to seeing that one on X-factor

Perspective - like putting it into a broader view, maybe into relative importance, or even the way you look at something.

lijaco - I am glad you managed to find out the meaning of "perspective". Well done.

My son is in year 1. He has finnished year one maths curriculum within one month. They gave him the year 2 book to continue one. He is nearly done.

the opening to Hong Kong Garden
Am very proud of that!

StealthPolarBear · 11/11/2008 18:10

Can't be bothered to read all of the thread (one of my own pet hates ) but has a thread like this really kicked off?

AmIWhatAndWhy · 11/11/2008 18:11

ode to joy as everyone my age can, it was on the national curriculum.

Dragonbutter · 11/11/2008 19:35

yes stealth it did.
and i have been called names.
quite incredible.

i guess some people feel they own the words 'gifted' and 'talented' and that they can only be used in the context of the education system. Like when Victoria Beckham thinks she owns the word posh. I stand by this thread that there are some very gifted and talented (and bored) mumsnetters on here.

i'm off to find my old major morgan to see if i can still play the muppets theme tune.

and if you need anymore proof that i am musically gifted when it comes to childrens toys, a friend and i used to do Mozart duets on a major morgan and a stylophone.

I thought it was a nice and humourous thread. But I can see why people like KM takes it up badly, as she has major issues with all the stick the G&T kids and their parents get.

I did not notice it was in G&T. I saw kick off and thought, AH! CHARGE! sex. I am frustrated.

But loves DragonButter muchly.

no armpit musicians lurking?
Or are they shy?

Dragonbutter · 11/11/2008 19:44

Thanks QS, right back at you.
