I can play the 'In the night garden' theme tune on a toy piano! What can you play on a childs toy piano?

It's a joke. It's obviously a joke. It's a self-contained joke and isn't muscling in on anyone's serious discussion.

IorekByrnison · 10/11/2008 21:47

Bocca, I feel sure that if Stockhausen had known about the squeezy footed octopus (with flattened dominant), post-war musical history would have been very different.

Tarka - is this your instrument?

seeker · 10/11/2008 21:50

Oh Kerry, don't be silly.

seeker · 10/11/2008 21:51

Actually, I might go for Stockhausen on the spoons - nobody would know if I got it right or not!

Dragonbutter · 10/11/2008 22:07

FFS hide the thread if it offends you.

because i was particularly pleased with myself for figuring out the 'night garden' tune on the kids' piano.
i was feeling like a talented mum.
that's all.
i have no views on gifted and talented children.

Exactly who am I taking the piss out of except myself?

Hulababy · 10/11/2008 22:15

I can't actually see anyone being offensive or even unkind to children who are registered G&T. However yes, people do take the mick out of the G&T label as it stands in the state education system - because, IMO and IME, is means very little.

And I have never on this thread or any other taken the piss out of a gifted and talented child. Or any other sort of child, for that matter.

seeker · 10/11/2008 22:16

People like seeker? Why me specially?

Huh?

BoccaDellaVerita · 10/11/2008 22:18

Oh dear. If you want to see real venom directed at a topic, go and look at one child families. On second thoughts, please don't. We seem to have turned a corner in the last few days and don't need to slide backwards.

Dragonbutter · 10/11/2008 22:19

Only that wasn't the case in this thread

You named me, Kerry. Please explain yourself.
