ADVANCE WARNING OF POO POST! avoid if of a sensitive disposition

Ah Fluffy, I knew someone on this thread had recent movicol experience, thought it was Fanny, not you. Have been assured by GP and pharmacist that movicol is unlikely to cause accidents though have to say that's not been what I've read on people's accounts on here! since accidents are the main ahem symptom (well other than not going for up to a week) it will be hard to filter out what's caused by what.

A few things GP advised - 1)weetabix or soda bread for breakfast 2)trying to encourage morning pooing time - so allowing plenty of time for a poo after breakfast, as apparently theres some reflex or other that makes you want to poo after eating the morning???

TC - didnt mean to ignore your post

sorry things are tough with DS. I think i am a little the same as you, found it tough socially as a child, so i read a lot more into situations than junior does - which actually wouldnt be too hard as normally everything social skills wise goes completely over the top of her head.

The Africa festival sounds lovely. Junior has some spare ear plugs (never used) if you think DS would benefit?

Fluff - i have studied with the OU since 2007, and found it really interesting. Although you do a lot of study on your own, there are forums to chat with fellow students, and regular face to face tutorials in groups of about 20 (luckily you are not forced to attend). Have a look at the website, there are proper full courses (eqivalent to full year at university) and short 10 point courses, which only take a matter of weeks. There is bound to be something that takes your fancy

Mouse, you ok?

TotalChaos · 18/06/2010 22:13

Mousey - don't worry - I did twig you were joking - must admit that I didn't suspect till the aunt/uncle bit, so evidently it's credible that you snort special brew!!!!

DeFluffy · 18/06/2010 22:13

Fanny - The Wiggles?? You brave brave woman.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 18/06/2010 22:15

Right off for bath and bed, busy weekend coming up so will try and come back Sunday but most likely Monday.

jetcat · 18/06/2010 22:17

enjoy (ahem) the wiggles Fanny!

jet - thanks for the offer of ear plugs - I will see if we can manage without them for now, as DS is OK with day to day noise

jetcat · 18/06/2010 22:19

double, shall we all text her and ask?

YanknCock · 18/06/2010 22:20

DeFluff, I'm another with experience of date rape. At least it was my second partner and not the first, but it led to a lot of acting out for a good long while. Don't want to dwell on it now anyway, but will think of it as DS gets older and want to make sure he has appropriate respect for girls.

So weird thing tonight. I have a facebook request from a name I don't immediately recognise. No pictures of himself, only his kid. No mutual friends, but he lives in a town that I lived in for a couple years. Have a suspicion we might have shagged a few times, but not sure.

Shall I ask him how I know him?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 18/06/2010 22:22

DF - i know a fair few with similar experiences too- it's terrifying, but i know what you mean about not passing on the fear.

I'm sure Lizzy is, ahem, otherwise engaged by now.

bellavita · 18/06/2010 22:23

Hello, I have been lurking! Couldn't always get a dignsl to post. We are now in the hotel bar, boys arguing over who is going to sit next to me! The still don't know why we are here although in the car Jack mentioned he thought Green Day were playing tonight and could we go round a few bars late on in case they were out on the town . I am enjoying a gin and tonic. The feckin bar bill for four drinks came to £20

Yank, surely just say no or ignore?

Sorry, as you know I am not on FB, not sure how it works but why would you want a friend you don't know?

TotalChaos · 18/06/2010 22:25

It's shocking how a level of at best unwanted attention is part and parcel of being a woman. I have merely been groped/felt up a handful of times, and had a few potentially close calls, I have been fortunate I suppose.

yank - I'ld be tempted to ignore that friend request. Could be a slightly embarassing message exchange!

jetcat · 18/06/2010 22:25

hi bella

right, am off to bed, as i think i may end up saying something i dont really want to

night all

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 18/06/2010 22:27

Double, the scary thing is i wasn't an insecure little girl - i was a virgin for a reason, I knew what i did and didn't want.

It is shocking how many stories you hear in the same vein.

bellavita · 18/06/2010 22:27

Night jet.

DeFluffy · 18/06/2010 22:30

Total - we had that problem, we didn't know whether the movicol was 'clearing out the blockage' dr said it was 'impacted' apparently, or whether the dose was too high and actually we were causing the accidents. Very difficult. I've actually thought about trying that ducalose (?) on her because I think its the hardness/bigness (sorry) thatas making her 'hold on'. If she had a few 'good' experiences she might start going normally. Shes also rubbish in that she eats no vegetables really apart from brocoli. Have forced her in past to eat more veg (through offering rewards or saying 'no tv' if she didn't) and she threw up And no, I didn't take pics of that

I'll let you all know when the puke pics are on fb.

Oh apparently J has proposed to Shine.

Yank - I think if you send him a message he'll be able to see all your profile for 30 days. Thats how it used to work so be careful.

My 'date rape' man I found on fb and befriended him through dps account. I just wanted to see what he'd done with his life. It freaked me out though seeing photos of him so i deleted. Anyway enough of that.

Good idea re texting Lizzy, am sorely tempted
