That's it really, we are all incredible in our own way and all good enough to eat.... I have met some of the Shiney girls and they are truly delicous! Lots of cock and cake chat

I am Bella, just trying to maintain my weight now.

Alice some friends who were dairy farmers went to their first NCT meeting when expecting their first. I think the topic of conversation went on to emergencies and what to do> Friends DH said well we will be OK, have calving ropes, machine and a trusty pen knife, this quip was met with stony silence and they left at the coffee break and never went back She had second baby at home at about 1 in the morning and was cooking Easter Sunday lunch for 10 a few hours later.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 22/06/2010 15:38

Afternoon.

Double, hair sounds fab - pic ?

Saf - I had DD at home, best thing I could have done, I didn't even need gas and air.

I have ordered a ton of meat and fish for tomorrow - Thursday is D-day.

I used to love all creatures great and small!

Fanny - ouch! @ diesel bill.

TotalChaos · 22/06/2010 15:42

alice - OK I am a bit reassured that you have a medically minded husband - reminds me of the doggie loving lady at work who reckoned she trusted her vet far more for medical advice than GP

bitter - thanks for soup suggestion. question - how do I pour the soup into the milk container without making a horrendous mess?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 22/06/2010 15:47

TC - you need one of these

Alicetheinvisible · 22/06/2010 15:47

Fanny sounds like something FIL would say (he is a stud vet) We didn't bother with antenatal classes either as i know DH would just get wound up with them and be awkward.

A home birth doesn't appeal to me tbh, i would just worry about the house being tidy enough, and would the MW's like another cup of tea, were there enough biscuits and fairy cakes to go round sort of thing

Plus, having had an emcs last time, and being a wuss, i quite like the idea of going in and having drugs (so different from my smug self last time "Oh, i should be fine with just G&A" yeah right!)

Alice I had a horrendous birth with DS (Think 36 hour labour, mainlining drugs and them not touching the sides for the pain)

It made such a difference being at home for DD, I was pottering about, walking the Dog etc while in labour so I didn't need any drugs.

Not trying to change your mind, btw just letting you know of my experiences.

Alicetheinvisible · 22/06/2010 16:01

Double

Bitter - i have to go to the hospital because of the previous cs, but i plan to spend the early stages at home as much as possible. Plus if i go to hospital i won't get my useless MW as she covers the other hospital

Lots of drugs, nice plan Alice.

I am fed up of work now, but will be here for a while as I have a call 6-7. Looks like we have done (or are even ahead of schedule) all the things we said we'd have done by this time so that's good.

Alicetheinvisible · 22/06/2010 16:22

SAF - that was my experience, just thought things were going slowly, then sign here, off to theatre. All ok though, DD healthy, i rrecovered stupidly quickly.

Trills - can you go out to enjoy a bit more sunshine if you have finished and don't need to be back til later?

TrillianAstra · 22/06/2010 16:30

Not finished, haha, just fed up of it. I don't think this stuff will ever be finished. There's loads more to do, and when they hear how much we've done already they'll expect the rest at an accelerated rate.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 22/06/2010 16:32

If it makes you feel better Trills, I'm off to work myself in an hour.

Jacket potatoes for tea here, cba to cook.

trilliaNastrA · 22/06/2010 16:52

Now I feel bad for moaning, sorry Bitter.

Trills - what has happened to your name?

trilliaNastrA · 22/06/2010 17:08

Home births sound lovely and scary in equal measures.

Plus who cleans up afterwards? Not me!

LizzyLOU · 22/06/2010 17:28

Her tits, I presume?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 22/06/2010 17:28

Trills, don't be silly

Besides, once I get home tonight I am FREE from work until saturday.

Shiney, surely the first rule should be you do not talk about the first rule.. er, or something.
