Bella - since you ask (bad move, opeing the flood gate for my rant) we are now the official epicentre of where we live!!!

We have random folk just wondering up the driveway talking to the builders, having a nosy, chattering away to one another. No regard for the fact that we actually live here.

I am keeping the curtains shut. They have just started the cement mixer outside my front door, I can't get out to take DS for a walk.

I am sat here rocking slowly back and forth!!!!

I am going to be drinking vodka very, very soon.

Help.

Mouseface · 17/06/2010 15:36

Iggi - cheeky sod!!! Maybe his age is affecting his eye sight!!!!

Lizzylou · 17/06/2010 15:43

Iggi, you are extremely glam and gorgeous and do not look anywhere near 40. I think he needs to get to specsavers.

Alice, oh that is sad, please don't worry though, as others have said it is so very rare. Poor woman though.

Mouse, get on the voddy! I hate being "invaded" by randoms.

Bella, it's going OK, though yesterday as I mentioned earlier I felt a little woozy and weak limbed. Prob the heat tbh. Am enjoying smoked salmon but can't afford to be getting through so much. Have lemon sole for dinner.

really want some wine now though

DS2 enjoyed his 2nd trial at school and didn't kick anyone or marry anyone so a good result. He did go on the rampage in the playground whilst waiting for DS1 to come out though

Blimey Iggs - did you tell him firmly that you were mum and not Grandma?

Mouse, just keep the finished version in your head.... it will be worth it.

Righto, must go and do some ironing.

Yum, cheers Double
Virtual wine should be OK on the Dukan, right???

Alicetheinvisible · 17/06/2010 15:52

Mouse - i sympathise with your house being invaded, We are only having the bathroom done and that is stressful. They are finished for now though as the shower isn't in stock yet, so will be coming back hopefully next week to completely finish. Nice to have my house back!

Waiting for friend to come round with her DS's (younger one is lovely, the older one is quite hard work - think it is just his age tbh)

I have made salmon fishcakes for them

PortiaNovmerriment · 17/06/2010 15:53

Afternoon all- have had a tremendously productive day, cleaning the house from top to bottom, and losing at least five pounds.

Not really

jetcat · 17/06/2010 15:59

exam done and dusted, having night off to do mountain of ironing to chill but fear not, will be back tomorrow

I have just been barracaded in by a cement mixer. I couldn't get out of the front door as it was up against it and can't go out the back as there is a 5ft deep hole.

I may put all of the builders in said 5 ft hole and pour over the cement and just have done with it.

Well done Jet!!!

SAF - YUMMY, chinese............ and I'm of you and Bitter in your garden. All I have in my garden is rubble, debris and pissing builders!!!!!!!

Did you get my text??

Alice - I hope they'll only be with you a day to fit your shower!!!!

Mouseface · 17/06/2010 16:41

Shiney - yay!!!!!!

bellavita · 17/06/2010 16:44

Well hello Shiney

How are you today, Portia? Hope those tablet's nasty effects are wearing off.

SAF, glad you and Bitter had fun, I used to love it when the boys fell asleep on me.

Have just done a shred whilst boys played outside, or actually stood in french doors laughing their socks off at me

Ah well, it's done.

Liking your style, Bella! How very civilised.

Yay for Jet and end of exams

Mouse, at least you are barricaded in with vodka, no excuse not to indulge now.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 17/06/2010 16:57

Hey all.

Have had a lovely lazy afternoon in the sunshine.

Now back, veggie lasagne in the oven and DD is snoozing.

Jet - well done, will be nice to have you back!

Mousie sorry the builders are still arses.

double, at getting our stories straight.

I think I'll join you in a drink later, be rude not to.

DeFluffy · 17/06/2010 17:05

Alice sending you hugs, what horrible news.

DEM - Hope you're feeling better later.

Jet - well done for getting through it! Have a massive relax now

Mouse - builders are shit.

Double - are you ok now?

SAF - sounds like a good day

Portia - you fooled me then I really thought you'd cleaned it all

Shiney- you're alive!!

Mole has been up all day, refusing to sleep but v tired so grizly/screamy. Anyone know a way to get rid of Moles once you have them in the house? Was thinking a pillow over head but am softening now she's stopped crying.

Oh, next time I think about phoning my mother can you all scream 'NOOOOO don't do it, you'll only feel shit afterwards and unlike trifle you won't even enjoy it while you're doing it!!'. Thank you

bellavita · 17/06/2010 17:05

Bitter, this is probably a silly question to ask, but do you soften/saute the veg first before layering up the lasagne? And what veg do you use?

OP posts:
bellavita · 17/06/2010 17:07

and at you lazying in the sunshine Bitter.

Shiney, you were telling porkies weren't you? >
