No worries Gigi - having a bad brain day!

Builders are making me edgy to say the least.......

Gigantaur · 16/06/2010 13:21

you need a pair of reality's cock kickers.

Mouseface · 16/06/2010 13:29

Sound bloody marvellous!!!!

The Building Inspector has just been round and told them that they need to dig further down than they had or else the walls will collapse.

I am going to the pub. Again.

MrMouse is responsible for all of this. Why on earth did I not manage this project??? I'm such a control freak that I normally do manage all things like this. Why did I not ask what the plan was at the start? Why oh why do I appear to be the only one here worrying and getting stressed and wantng it all to be over???? Why are they now drilling again? Why can't I wake up in the morning and it all be over? What are they drilling!!!!!!!! My teeth are rrrrrrrrraaaaatttttttllllllliiiinnnnnng......

Do you know that on Tuesday one of them actually drilled a wall down, instead of making regular holes and using a sledge hammer to demolish it, he spent the day drilling it down.........

A day!

And breathe................

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/06/2010 13:42

after noon.

read through but my brain is as much use as a chocolate teapot.

however:

Mitz - amazing memory, tis I who knows about the duvet diet.
SAF - it is to do with the hormones that are produced when you dont get enough sleep and the effect on the body. In short too little sleep = no processing food properally = higher risk diabetes and heart disease = higher retention of fat.
Hells shallnt tell what i have been doing today. will just post a picture later.

Mouseface · 16/06/2010 13:49

Jezz - I'm doomed then!! I get no frickin sleep at the minute as DS is so unsettled....

MrMouse hardly ever gets up to him...

That's actually rather scary DEM. I remember seeing a sleep yourself slim type article once but never read it......

I'm quite worried.....

Gigantaur · 16/06/2010 14:10

don't be mouse. you are utterly gorgeous and even if you put on a stone whilst getting up with DS you'd still be a stunner.

If it helps i can sympathise with the building pain. had the kitchen and bathroom done in august and i could easily have shot the builders.

Mittz · 16/06/2010 14:12

Gigi, chin ups are where you hold onto a high bar and pull your own body weight up [grimace]

Hi DEM

Still at it here

I [heart] Robyn

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 16/06/2010 14:16

Who is Robyn?

I have been lazy today. Kitchen is cleaned, shopping sorted, 1 load laundry.

I really need to change the beds and hoover - big case of cba.

I have spent the last hour helping DD put things into a box, and then take them out again. My life rocks.

Mouseface · 16/06/2010 14:20
PortiaNovmerriment · 16/06/2010 14:33

< sneaks in for small weep >

I am so bloody tired today and crappy feeling (took my weekly tablets yesterday, make me feel shit the next day) and I wanted a sleep for an hour before dd2 gets in. But no, got sucked into defending myself from some digs by people who clearly just dislike me, and now I've missed tbe window. Gah.

You know when you just feel like everything has gone to shit and is just too hard and you want to crawl into bed and stay there? And cry a bit. That's how I feel today.

Gigantaur · 16/06/2010 14:36

oh BoF

is DP not around this evening? could he watch DD2 for a little while so that you could have a quick nap.

who has been picking on you? i shall go tell them to cock off for you

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/06/2010 14:41

gives portia a small squease.

Mouse - it is not so bad if you stick to food which is healthy ie low fat, low sugar rush but it will affect the ability to lose weight. Unfortunatly I eat sugar, sugar and more sugar when i am tired so I am screwed.

PLus i have just discovered my fvourite trousers are worn out beyond repair so will have to either finish making the half made pair or go buy a new pair. Both of which hadnt even hit the consious stream never mind the to do list.

Ds is going to be unimpressed. instead of play park we are going to have to do: shops, empty and hoover car. Oh joyful afternoon that one. hopefully can placate him with the hose pipe and car washing. But i fear not. Short notice change of plans always go badly here.

bellavita · 16/06/2010 14:43

Afternoon.

Hells, those coffee pots are all I have known whilst growing up

Someone mention me being frisky yesterday

Mouse, the applicant came today and had a look around the school and sat with me on reception for a bit. She was super lovely - her husband is in the army and they are based here for 24 months. She has homeschooled her children but at Easter they decided they wanted to go into mainstream school so she is at a loose end. She asked me to put in a good word for her which I did (another applicant coming on Friday) but she is not the kinda girl I would talk about nails and makeup and stuff to like my jobshare colleague now.

Gigi, perhaps you need to take it steady till next week and no more chandelier sessions!!!!

Lizzy, what on earth possessed you woman to go running in this heat. You will give yourself a stroke

He's probably going to be decorating in the ex-lodger's room tonight after a full days work trying to get us out of the shit financially, possibly after cooking us a Thai curry for tea...I really can't ask him, honestly! I get all day to sit around feeling sorry for myself, it would be taking the piss. I really should get off here now and do something constructive. I am still in my fucking pajamas getting fatter by the day. I think I might be a bit depressed. I should namechange and whinge somewhere else, maybe get myself banned for trolling? That might be funny.

Ach ignore me. I need a big ol' boot up the arse is all. I am off to get a shower and clean something. Or spray polish around- that makes me look less idle!

If you see me back here in the next couple of hours, tell me to bugger off, ok?

Gigantaur · 16/06/2010 14:47

portia - just seen the thread you meant.

What is it with the shiney digging?

I've never known people get so riled by such a thread.

DeFluffy · 16/06/2010 14:50

pops in just to cuddle portia. Remember poppet my dp wants to shag you. Thats something to lift your depression

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/06/2010 14:53

gigi - there is a solid undercore of people who dont like shiney. coddites perhaps? But shiney it seems can be blamed for stuff even when she isnt about. I am staying away from active convs today as still have mucho to do and should really have spent the last 20mins doing something productive rather then being on the computer. I am not likely to about much this evening at this rate...

Right school run.

Gigantaur · 16/06/2010 14:58

yes indeedy POrtia - all the blokes i know that have seen dp's artwork would happily have you hanging above their beds.
and Dp just dribbles at the mere mention of your name!

Mouseface · 16/06/2010 15:05

Ah, the Shiney bashers are back are they......

Where were you posting Portia to get everyone so rattled? Tell them to politely fuckity orf!!

at Defluffy! I want to shag Portia, never mind your DP!!!

Bella - glad your newbie was nice.

DEM - low fat/no fat/no sugar/no salt etc..... so I should be alright! Maybe that's why I can't shift the weight, seems to get stuck sometimes!!

Right, off into town now with DD to get some father's day things and birthday stuff for mum! Off to Manc this weekend to see them all, been ages! I miss my dad heaps! And of course my mum but dad is my hero. Soppy.

Hormones!

Back tonight.

Bye for now Shiney peeps xx

Lizzylou · 16/06/2010 16:18

Portia, my DH would want to shag you as well, if he ever saw you (must not let that happen). He has a thing for gorgeous petite blondes with a fab rack . How he ended up with a hefty tall brunette with droopy tits I don't know!

Don't be down, it is just the tablets, you know that and tomorrow you will feel heaps better.

Bella, I did regret the run and my fingers swelled up with the heat, in Lancashire! Feck me, I even miss the constant drizzle we normally have. I did park up and walk up to school to get DS1 at a much more sedate pace which was far nicer.

Respect to Mitz, chin ups are waaay beyond me!

TotalChaos · 16/06/2010 16:18

what on earth have I missed re:digs????

anyhoo - had training today at work for a task that promises to be a poisoned chalice , still at least lunch was thrown in for once.

saf - hope the dentist does something for you this afternoon, you've been suffering with that too for a while

mousey - flaming builders, it's been a catalogue of palavers

gigi - hope you feel less delicate underneath soon, and defo in time for Monday!

Portia - you don't sound yourself, petal, look after yourself.

right - off to take DS for a blood test, hope that the phlebotomists are their usual competent selves and he doesn't kick off...

Alicetheinvisible · 16/06/2010 16:22

Hello lovelies

Portia - i agree with Mouse, Tell them to fuck the fuck off. You are the legendary BOF

SAF - hope dentist went ok, i haven't abandoned scrabble btw, just struggling to remember my own name today

DEM - could you use old trousers as a template for some new ones? Unpick them and use them as a pattern?

DD's ballet went quite well today. Her teacher came up to me and mentioned that today was much better. I had said last week that it takes her a while to fit in with other kids.

I am well and truly fucked today. Was lovely to spend time with family yesterday and i also bumped into a friend who i haven't seen in 13years (we were best friends as kids) in Tesco which was lovely. Was a bit concerned i may have been slightly in labour while driving home last night, the contractions were back every 11-12mins, but eased off once i was lying down at home.

Was going to make macaroni cheese this evening, but i think it is going to be pizza and chips from the freezer, as i am really uncomfortable today. This baby seems to be on speed atm

Alicetheinvisible · 16/06/2010 16:34

Oh, and today DH and i reached a new stage in our lives......

We have bought an antique! (well have only paid half as not getting it for a few weeks)

I now feel old
