at 'getting an antique' Alice... whoah, take it easy lady...get those feet up xx

As undoubtedly gorgeous as BoF is Lizzy, goddesses come in all shapes and sizes.. we 'statuesque' ones have a role to fill as well dontcha know. There is a trail of besotted men who have looked too deeply into your eyes anyway young lady..

I am rather chuffed about the chin ups..simple things and all that .

Portia lovey, sorry you are feeling so crap. Agree maybe DP should check your vitamins and stuff and give some general TLC, take care xx

I get at how easy people find it to have a pop at anyone on the shiney
thread, heaven help that you might have an independent thought if you are on here...cos we is all drones like innit?

How's it going Mouse? Buried any builders today?... I have a martial Arts licence ye know, I can wear a hoody and punch the air and look menacing for cake a small fee.

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/06/2010 17:34

Yes where have you been and is this another one liner posting session?

Throws some super sticky sticky rope around shiney to prevent escape.

Lizzylou · 16/06/2010 17:38

Mittz, you are not mean, you are a serene regal Goddess!

Ya boo sucks to those who slag off the Shiney thread tbh, I have never been complimented so much in my life and have never felt like complimenting other people so much and that is not just those I met. You are all so warm and caring. They are just jealous of the luuuuurrrrrve.

And The Girth

Oh, um, HI Shiney, how are you?

SAF, sooo pleased you are getting the pain sorted lovely.

Double, a good old sleep cures most things I think, glad you're OK

Alice, what antique did you buy, you adult, you?

Gigantaur · 16/06/2010 17:44

bella - my brothers is just a bog standard victoria sponge with jam and cream, then iced to look like a football.

the one for home is a big fat chocolate with fudge icing.
yummm

mouse - Some builders drove into their local timber yard.

One of the men walked into the yard office and said, "We need some four-by-twos."

The storeman asked, "You mean two-by-fours, don't you?"

The man said, "I'll go check," and went back to the truck.

He returned and said, "Yeah, I meant two-by-four."

"All right. How long do you need them?" asked the storeman,

The man paused for a minute and said, "I'd better go check."

After a while, the customer returned to the office and said, "A long time. We're gonna build a house."

thought it might cheer you up.

Bof - Lizzy is right. it is just the pills and tomorrow you will remember your fabulous. have a nice early night and wake up tomorrow with a big smiley face.

Alice - yay for antiques. I love big old furniture that has lasted for decades. i like imagining all the things they must have seen and stories they could tell. if they weren't furniture and could actually talk, obviously

SAF - woohoo for your dad and child free night. make the most of it and have a nice restfull evening.

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/06/2010 17:45

I am turning this table from a table and chair set Ds has grown out into a lovely coffee table. Picture on profile shortly.

bellavita · 16/06/2010 17:47

You are very talanted DEM.

OP posts:
Gigantaur · 16/06/2010 17:48

lizzy - i read your last post and instantly had a flash back of that popstars episode where darius walks in with his "can you fell the love in this room" speech

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/06/2010 17:55

Bella, i drove my parents very made with my need to be constantly busy . Nowadays i apply it a little better. picture is up.

Can i kill ds yet? He thought is was a good idea to not care that he lost his glasses at lunch, not tell a grown up and the killer. He lost them because he let his friend burry then. very very pissed off right now. He has no tv til he has some glasses, which if he doesnt find them will be the end of July which means i will want to kill him very soon. He is banned to his bedroom for being lippy. He is supposed to be 5 ffs not acting like a stroppy 15yo. counting is not helping. i am going to kill some weeds.

Lizzylou · 16/06/2010 17:56

That is exactly the kind of vibe I had in mind, Gigi

Can you feel the love on this thread, Ladies?

Gigi, DS1 asked for a football cake last year, I just did a rectangle cake, covered it in green icing, drew the pitch on with white writing icing and shoved some plastic footballers on it. I did the same for their joint farm party cake, just stuck a plastic tractor on and some plastic farm animals on.
You are a braver woman than me, just save us a slice, eh?
For when I am not Dukanning, obviously

TotalChaos · 16/06/2010 17:56

oh alice, carry on resting up honey!

bella - nhs admin. new task is a touch outside my comfort zone shall we say . don't want to give any more detail on a public site, never know who is reading....

saf - glad dentist has done something shame you've got more work to come

hello Shiney and everyone else

Gigantaur · 16/06/2010 17:59

DEM that table is sooo cool. well done you.

My Ds has a thing for losing or breaking glasses too so you have my sympathies. I end up sending him to his room for his own saftey.

DD is 5 and the lip i get is ridiculous. i say to her constantly that she is 5 not 25.

so i feel your pain.

Lizzylou · 16/06/2010 17:59

DEM, that table is fantastic! Is there no end to your talents?

I feel your pain re: glasses, DS1 went through a spell of breaking his all the time, has calmed down now. Could you go into school, kick up a stink and get other boy to show you where he buried them? Perhaps if they are beyond repairthe other boy's Mother would help with cost? I bloody would if my kids had something like that.

Gigantaur · 16/06/2010 18:02

lizzy - that would have been so much easier. why didn't i think of that.
i made black and white icing and just got hexagonal cutter and pasted them on.

it is ambarrassingly rubbish but he seems to like it.

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/06/2010 18:06

thankfully fully NHS glasses so no cost its just the cant have til been seen at hospital can be seen at hospital til end of july thing that is the problem with the glasses. As for ds' attitude to his glasses. that is another matter. School have been good and tried to get answers out of him. The are going to ask all the kids in the school to have a check on the field during morning break so hopefully they will turn up. If they turn up but are broken we can do something about it. If they dont I will have to ring hospital and try to sort something. however, ds needs the attitude kicking out of him so the tv ban stays. its going to kill me.

Table was fairly easy as it is mosaic tile sheets so it was a case of spreed adhesive out with plastic fork and sticking down. did the primer yesterday. hope to gloss tonight. grout friday. Got enough tiles for making 7 matching coasters lovely and grown up. Just seemed a waste to chuck a perfectly good table out when i know i am going to need a coffee table. Not sure what to do about the 2 small chairs that can with it though. So if you have some ideas...
