OP posts:
Alicetheinvisible · 15/05/2010 21:40

I am still here!

Got stuff to do before i go to bed. Need an early night, but also want to wait up for DH to get in.

DEM - do you struggle to sleep? Or one of those people who don't 'need' sleep?

wastingaway · 15/05/2010 21:43

That's what I thought DEM. Lovely name.

I am here, I've been IMDBing people off Top Gun.

I've had half a glass of rose and I've gone all hot and pink-faced. Like this

DidEinsteinsMum · 15/05/2010 21:43

struggle to sleep
had to cope without sleep for so long find it hard to
have been know to sleep 14hrs straight when needed.

need loads/dont need much cycles. sleep better when skating as not relaxing = not sleeping. very busy brain that doesnt shut up and then i worry/overthink/stress etc.

Hey Wasting - this is DIB requesting a fly-by

Alicetheinvisible · 15/05/2010 21:49

Wasting - wine always affects me really quickly.

DEM - i wondered as you often post at silly o'clock and also because DS has sleep problems, whether it is all connected. Hopefully if you are both skating together then it will have a positive impact on both of your lives.

DreamsInBinary · 15/05/2010 21:54

Alice - I have thought this for ages - your username makes me want to hug you!

I know (think?) that it means "you ain't see me - right " but I hate the thought that you might feel invisible!

wastingaway · 15/05/2010 22:04

DIB - permission granted!

Fleecy · 15/05/2010 22:06

Alice - I think confidence is really attractive and always shines through. And people always remember the way you make them feel - if you're a positive person they feel warmer towards you and that makes you more attractive. A beautiful moody person isn't really beautiful. Fashion is great if you enjoy it but I don't think it has that much bearing on how people look, classic clothes that suit you are always a winner. Finally, a good haircut, plus mascara if you're fair, will make all the difference and won't take much time and effort!

Also, if it helps, I found being pregnant with a toddler in tow much harder than having 2 DC. DD watched loads of telly when I was pregnant.

Lizzy - I'm losing around a pound a fortnight so not a lot, but I am now wearing jeans I couldn't get into a month ago. So I think it's probably really quite healthy to be losing inches through exercise but have slow actual weight loss. We must be toning up lots

Hells - wonderful news about your friend. Her friends and family must be so very relieved.

Gigi - congratulations. Yay for you and your DP!

DidEinsteinsMum · 15/05/2010 22:07

ALice, we are very similar in some alot of respects, especially with our over active bedtime brains. But i was a very good sleeper once alseep as a kid. Ds on the other hand has never slept well. ever. I think he has had 5 10hour sleeps in his life that are not sleep med induced. Thankfully the sleep meds make him crash and he mostly sleeps through. Doesnt always and still suffers from the night terrors, but they tend to be when he goes or very poorly. So i always know when to start checking his trouser for length .

I also prefer the night. I like the dark, the peace and quiet, and significantly the lack of people. Spent most of my teenage years being nocturnal in the summer. I think i used to be the only kid to go back to school in septemer whiter then when i left pre summer hols. Its no wonder i earnt my high school nickname. Used to make me as it was very apt.

Alice, why are you invisible?

OP posts:
Alicetheinvisible · 15/05/2010 22:10

Really? I was always Alice...something and i had a bit of a time with everything and liked the fact that i could come on here and rant and moan and i was technically invisible. I could disappear if i wanted iyswim?

DreamsInBinary · 15/05/2010 22:13

That makes me feel so much better! The first time I saw the name, the (incorrect) image 'stuck', IYSWIM. Now - finally - I actually get it

What was your nickname, DEM?

DidEinsteinsMum · 15/05/2010 22:14

makes sense but can seem a bit - especially when i actually read it properally.

should finally have some hot water. yippee....

I like MN because i don't have a past too. I hate showing vulnerability, so if i do i can simply disappear for a while - perfect

DidEinsteinsMum · 15/05/2010 22:18

bugger, i lied about hot water ah well.

When I was younger, I'd walk into the pub/bar and people would start clicking their fingers:

da da da da

da da da da

da da da da, da da da da, da da da da

The Addams Family

Alicetheinvisible · 15/05/2010 22:21

Think i must go and feed the cat, put the tumble on and go to bed.

Night ladies, hope everyone has a lovely sunday

bellavita · 15/05/2010 22:44

Hello

Have had a fabulous evening out. Champagne, wine and food fantastic.

I had prawn cocktail, rib eye steak with rocket and balsamic reduction (no potatoes) and then tiramisu. Dad and DH are now tucking into G&T's but I couldn't drink another drop.

Yank, your anniversary meal sounds lovely.

Mitts, sound like you have had a really good day.

DIB - are there any pics of your new hair cut?

DreamsInBinary · 15/05/2010 22:52

Evening Bella

Your night sounds wonderful. Prawn cocktail is one of my very favourite things. As is champagne!

wastingaway · 15/05/2010 22:54

Sounds yum Bella. Glad you had a nice time.

I've had two glasses of wine and feel quite pissed.

I'm a bit overwhelmed by the homoeroticism of Top Gun. And they're all soooo sweaty.

DidEinsteinsMum · 15/05/2010 23:06
