For people who like to eat a lot of fruit and veg but also need to lose weight. We suggest 10 portions of fruit and veg a day, plus at least 10 mins of extra exercise. Weigh in day is Monday. No Atkins stuff or anything like that please , just healthy eating and exercising.

Oh yes I see.

I would have said no, mostly because I would have found it incredibly annoying.

CoupleofKooks · 02/05/2010 22:25

cereal, mango, banana, apple, raisins = 4

greasy lasagne, anaemic chips, bit of ds2's omelette, bit of ds1's pizza, nasty shredded lettuce

then it gets worse
half chocolate brownie
half strawberry cheesecake
quite a lot of a packet of those freeze dried fruits in chocolate from m+s

rallied with: philadelphia wrap with quorn and cucumber
2 large raw carrots = 2
3 celery sticks = 1
piece of cheese

in my defence i was pre-menstrual
is anyone synchronised atm
i am a bit late for full moon but not far off

Wooooooo HOoooooooooooooooooooo!!! Weigh in day! I've lost 2 and a half pounds

Had no internet yesterday and phoned and got an appointment for an engineer and now it's working again I'll hang on til the day to cancel the appt I think in case it goes again.

Haven't been on for a few days but will pop on tonight and catch up.

ThePinkOne · 03/05/2010 09:07

Oh and you know some people can see that they look better when they lose weight and their clothes feel looser and things? I don't have that ability. I always think I look/feel the same so I need to be in a smaller dress size and have a lower number on the scales to know that I'm losing weight. BUT I now have to put my wedding ring on my middle finger unless it's really warm or it'll fall off, so I must be getting thinner!

yay pink yay pink

i will put you top of the list:

Pink 2.5 lbs
what's your total now Pink? I need a spreadsheet

Right i weighed yesterday and I've lost a lb. Sorry it is very dull. I always lose a lb. Except for the week where I didn't. Anyway.

Franny 1 lb, total 6 lb.

Apparently I'll be running 2 miles later today. This is odd.

avi can we give you some encouragement? am i right, basically, you are not going to weigh yourself, until you know you've lost enough weight to be able to face weighing yourself?
this is a tricky one

Out at may day thing in the park first thing, absolutely bloody freezing, there was hail fgs. Poor little gymnasts looked like their heads would fall off they were shaking so much from the cold. Wet stalls. Weak tea. Dodgy buns. Charred hot dogs and duff tombolas. Still, the kids enjoyed it.

I am okay now I have had some soup and chocolate fingers and I am going to watch Bright Star, that Keats film, in the middle of the day! Can you believe the laziness?

Weigh-in = 2.5, total 8.5

Are we counting just from when the thread started? Like Franny I had lost a bit in week preceding this. 8.5 from start of thread anyway.

Guadalupe · 03/05/2010 14:15

Avi - do you mean you haven't weighed or that you don't want to announce weighing? You don't have to say, you can just say lost half a pound or stayed the same or whatever..

I was quite horrified when I started ww last year and they wrote down 12 stone. Looked awful on paper to me.

CoupleofKooks · 03/05/2010 14:48

it hailed here too, also dodgy may thing on here which we haven't been arsed to go too yet (it sounds like the identikit crap may bank holiday activity guad, ours is the same)

good on you guad

pink 2.5 lb
franny 1 lb total 6 lb
guad 2.5 lb total 8.5 lb (yes count from start of thread i think guad)
avi not playing

just had lovely big salad
it's nice to have dp back (well for 1 say before he goes back to work anyway)

ds2 is hardcore potty training - as i have blethered, he has been going on potty with EC type cueing since he was 8 months, but now we are doing nappy off / leave the potty out / let him get on with it kind of thing
it's quite funny because he just goes and does it and you find a little wee on the potty later on, without knowing he had been
have had abysmal success rate of poos though - he has never got the hang of pooing in sensible places, i have no idea why

avi said she didn't want to know what she weighed, so she wasn't going to weigh herself until she weighed less
i suggested getting her dh to look and not tell her

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 03/05/2010 14:50

I KNOW AVI
post another photo of your bottom, do a new one each week and we will tell you how much weight we estimate you have lost
it'll be great

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 03/05/2010 14:53

well, how are you gong to know when you weigh less then, avi! Or are you going by clothes?

Franny - you should go soon. All the cakes with icing will have gone and your gymnasts won't have any heads.

Guadalupe · 03/05/2010 14:57

I have eaten less than my points in the last few days and it hasn't made any difference. I don't want a plateau. I read up on platauing and you should alternate how much you eat some days, ie, eat less and then have normal amounts other days making it even over a week.

And cange the exercise. If you're doingaerobic change to strength and so on.

Not sure what I can cange walking to. Running up the stairs maybe?

I am doing 150 crunches and jane fonda type stretches every night and morning too, hopefully this will help.
