For people who like to eat a lot of fruit and veg but also need to lose weight. We suggest 10 portions of fruit and veg a day, plus at least 10 mins of extra exercise. Weigh in day is Monday. No Atkins stuff or anything like that please , just healthy eating and exercising.

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 30/04/2010 17:21

then tighten the halter you ninny, and up, up they go

CoupleofKooks · 30/04/2010 17:33

nah they just get flattened

OP posts:
pointydog · 30/04/2010 17:40

I find halter necks flattering for my broad shoulders and chunky arms.

Guadalupe · 30/04/2010 17:41

yes, there is definitely no pointy fifties tits with a halter, but I quite like the flat round look sometimes!

finally asoaragus is a decent price and local I LOVE it

CoupleofKooks · 30/04/2010 17:51

god asparagus is so delicious

pointy i have weedy shoulders and skinny arms

OP posts:
pointydog · 30/04/2010 17:54

ah. I see.

I think halter necks do suit the top weighted people more

elliemental · 30/04/2010 18:07

pointy, I am broad shouldered and hefty armed too. the 50s style halter neck is ace and v flattering.. But Franny, IMO, the H&M skinny string halternecks are Not. I look like a builder in drag. Only a builder in drag would have bigger tits!
The debenhams dress is loverely, v pretty!

I read some of the shiny dwp threads. Gawd, I was just terrified that people would think it was us and come and harangue us! There has been some healthy eating thread confusion recently.

elliemental · 30/04/2010 18:09

nomnomnom asparagus is divine.

Today I had chips
But I was out with my son for lunch and they came with my roast veg baguette.....I was powerless to resist. Having said that, we cycled 8 miles.
Kiwiw
Banana
Blueberries
Roasted veg in sarnie with side salad.
And supper is veg curry with Cauli, mushroom, onion, sweet pot, spinach and chickpea.

can i scrape a 10?

CoupleofKooks · 30/04/2010 18:21

oh stop with the sad faces "i had chips "
and pointy had a scone and guad you made a shocked face
we are not going to do joyless eating and guiltiness and stuff are we?
i am sure you were all joking but i am too tired to get the wit probably

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 30/04/2010 18:28

nope, I was taking the piss, I had a creme brulee the other day fgs

CoupleofKooks · 30/04/2010 18:33

i had
cereal fruit seeds = 4
veg sausage sandwich
seeds, dried blueberries, dried mango, grapes,
cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and parnsips in cheese sauce

god endless disputes and bickering starting up again with the neighbourhood kids
stress every single evening this week - tonight it was because ds1 was pushing and shoving a younger boy and shouting in his face
apparently this was younger boy's fault because "he had taken his stone"

i asked ds1 if it was ok for dp to hit me if i annoyed him
ds1 said yes "because i started it"

ffs

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 30/04/2010 18:33

OP posts:
elliemental · 30/04/2010 18:58

man, there was nothing joyless about my plate of chips and mayo. They were perfect.

Guadalupe · 30/04/2010 19:07

yers, and it came with a shortbread and plum compote, mmm, mmm

however I am back on the rich tea which I think of fondly, like little friends seeing me through tough times.

CoupleofKooks · 30/04/2010 21:22

woohoo i like the sound of those chips ellie
i would eat chips more often if they were not so frequently disappointing
i like them fat and crispy, this is hard combination to find

guad that sounds very posh and nice indeed

i am hungry again now

avi that's great! actually not last night but the night before ds1 slept through as well
of course this necessitates 4 am bolt uprightness on my part thinking he must be dead

well dp is away for the day, till 7.30 pm on this dubious barefoot running course
we've got a nice art workshop later though
and are eating the nicest mango we've had for a long time, shared 3 ways instead of 4
so every cloud has a silver lining

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 01/05/2010 09:23

avi is that the sunday? we are still free but where do we need to get to?

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 01/05/2010 09:24

oh the scales say i;ve lost another lb
can i declare now in case it goes on again before monday?

someone else said i had lost weight
total of people who have said "you have lost weight" = 4

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 01/05/2010 09:26

oh AND at tea time when a childminder is coming for a bit so i don't go completely loop the loop, i am meant to be runnning 8 mins x 2 or something equally awful sounding
do you think i can do it?

right i'll stop blethering
probably

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 01/05/2010 09:54

Course you can do it. I am v impressed with the running. I only walk, walk walk atm.

People are noticing I am thinner now which is always reassuring. I want to be 10 stone though and I am impatient. As always. I still can't quite fit in jeans I wore just before christmas.

Avi - hurray! That must be a relief. I need loads of sleep atm for some reason. I went up about 9.30 last night.

Rest of tropical fruit salad

elliemental · 01/05/2010 11:22

well my may day plans (going to watch gothic morris dancers, fllowed by ice cream, followed by farm visit - lamb feeding etc) was met with polite disdain.
Boys managed to persuade DH to take them to huge indoor skatepark instead (where they will probably be killed by errant BMXers etc) So I am off to allotment.
I did so want to feed lambs and calves at Beltane and feel all fecund and fruitful by proxy....

I will gather some brocolli and make soup for myself.

CoupleofKooks · 01/05/2010 11:39

i am now 10 stone
10 stone doesn't look good on me though

i've made a big salad for dinner, and some lentil and butternut curry for another day

just going out for a walk to see the swan's nest and the ducklings
i am so wholesome i could choke

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 01/05/2010 11:41

thank you for being impressed with my paltry running guad
