For people who like to eat a lot of fruit and veg but also need to lose weight. We suggest 10 portions of fruit and veg a day, plus at least 10 mins of extra exercise. Weigh in day is Monday. No Atkins stuff or anything like that please , just healthy eating and exercising.

OK. Not counting my last weeks, mum's scales, holiday weigh. I have put on 2lb in the last 2 weeks. Considering the eating I indulged in on hols that is ok. And I will try harder this week. Bulgar wheat for lunch instead of sandwiches, 1 weetabix and fruit for brekkie, no snacks, lots of water. I've got a spa day on sunday so something to work for!

So Pink: +2lb total loss 7lb

ThePinkOne · 24/05/2010 08:28

Well done Fran!! By the way and stickers for anyone who has lost any weight today.

CoupleofKooks · 24/05/2010 09:09

oh well not too bad then pink
tell us a bit more about the holiday?
i am going to have a big salad for lunch again and go for a run when dp gets in
pink i have missed about 10 days on the robcast
should i just carry on as i was, or go back a week? (tbh it makes v little difference as they are both long runs about 25 mins i think)

ThePinkOne · 24/05/2010 10:54

I never ever went back a week on the podcast, I couldn't! I would carry on from where you were, maybe do an extra session that week. It's incredible how you retain the fitness. After DS was born I did week 4 after about 6 months (so hadn't run for a year) then did nothing again until he was nearly 1 and just started on week 6.

I'll tell you all about my hols later!

avi you really did look good when we saw you so please don't get all despondent
obviously if your clothes don't fit, you want to lose weight, but what i mean is, don't walk around thinking you are looking a state

Hi, I hope you are all doing well. Haven't been on for so so long, so much has changed and moved on.

I wanted to link this on here as it applies to so many of you on this thread. When I first joined MN the 10/10ers that welcomed me gave me such a warm welcome and so much support when I needed it so badly.

I think of you so much and hope life is moving in good directions for you all...

..thanks xx

pointydog · 24/05/2010 18:47

I'll weigh in tomorrow if that's all right. Am all hot and inflated with the heat just now and am worried I put on a bit of beef over the weekend. Well, when I say worried, you know what I mean...

Avi, I really did not want to weigh myself at the start because I did not know how much over 11st I was and was really hoping I wasn't above 11 3. But it makes it so much mor e enjoyable when you do lose weight to know how much you weighed at the begionning.

pointydog · 24/05/2010 18:48

That's a nice thread, mitz. Glad things have improved so much for your family.

pointydog · 24/05/2010 18:51

weetabix and o juice
banana
baked potato with little grated cheese and colesalw and pickled beet and salad
one rocky (trying to avoid all biscuits but only 106 cals )
v small portion spaghetti with quite a bit of tomato and red pepper sauce
grapes

7 I'd say

CoupleofKooks · 24/05/2010 20:56

pointy i agree, avi you will not be able to show off about how much you have lost if you don't weigh to start with

mits i am glad there are good things happening for you

OP posts:
ThePinkOne · 24/05/2010 21:14

I couldn't do it without weighing myself. I need tangible evidence of what I'm doing. I don't see how I look IYSWIM

ThePinkOne · 24/05/2010 21:20

Can I just show off about my vegger children!? DD shunned a pasty last week and asked for 'lettuce and tomato', then yummed up a salad sandwich Then when we got home they had some savory rice type dish for tea and sat in the garden picking parsley and corriander to put in it and kept going back for more and tonight DS kept pinching my olives and beetroot from my tea

CoupleofKooks · 24/05/2010 21:22

cereal fruit seeds blah = 3
crackers and pate
1.5 pittas, philadelphia, quorn, cuc and tom (0.5)
half a biscuit in the shape of a pig that ds2 was eating and then pressed into my hand saying "iss for you mummay" (i think it was the pig's bottom)
salad, spinach, rocket, egg, beetroot, cuc, tom, chickpeas, potatoes, veg burger, mayonnaise = 3
dark chocolate, raisins, sunflower seeds = 1

7.5

25 min run - god was hot - and was 6.30 pm - pink i have NO idea how you did anything for 1 hour 12 mins yesterday, i would have died
i think i will ache tomorrow, i found it quite hard even though i was doing it 10 days ago without trouble
maybe the heat made the difference
pink, dp says if you carry on training through the summer it will improve your time immeasurably come september! he says running in this heat is tough and very good for your stamina / speed etc

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 24/05/2010 21:23

ooh pink i heart vegger children
ds1 used to order salad when we went out to eat
now he says pizza is his favourite

elliemental · 25/05/2010 10:26

Hello everyone! I have lost 1lb - despite having existed for 3 days on champagne, cake and the ocasional mouthful of salad at party and bbqs

elliemental · 25/05/2010 10:30

oh do let's have another meet-up soon! Pink, I'll bring Lego to keep your dh all the boys happy.....!

CoupleofKooks · 25/05/2010 11:24

how was party ellie? well done on 1 lb loss

i am joining ranks of menstruating veggers
are we really in synch still? is nearly full moon but not quite

OP posts:
elliemental · 25/05/2010 11:30

I am out of sync with the moon at the moment
I came on 5 days ago.

Party was awesome. Perfick weather and a beautiful village setting. Loads of lovely friends and fces from years ago. And the BEST cake in the world ever made as a surprise by my friends! I will try and post a pic to my profile when I have downloaded it. You will all approve, it was an allotment cake with hundreds of teeny tiny vegetables!
But party was extremely hard work and I am never doing it again!

CoupleofKooks · 25/05/2010 17:02

well, i don;t reckon anyone will expect you to do another 40th party

i don't know if it;s ok for me to mention, we are in the running for that carbon footprint challenge thing but we are not sure if we have got the time to commit
dp is going "oh god no" and i must admit he has a point

OP posts:
TigerFeet · 25/05/2010 20:37

Glad the party went well ellie, did you wear the skull and crossbones dress in the end?

Kooky I considered going for it but then thought that I would probably be setting myself up for a fall

dd2 went to nursery for an hour today she was fine

eating and so forth still crappy

am resolving to do better but can't seem to find the motivation

elliemental · 25/05/2010 20:54

I did! I looked like a fat pirate prom queen

CoupleofKooks · 25/05/2010 21:00
