For people who like to eat a lot of fruit and veg but also need to lose weight. We suggest 10 portions of fruit and veg a day, plus at least 10 mins of extra exercise. Weigh in day is Monday. No Atkins stuff or anything like that please , just healthy eating and exercising.

forgot to list yesterday

cereal fruit seeds raisins dried apricots = 5 (dried apricots are such a doddle if you need an extra portion aren't they?)
quorn sandwich
cereal bar (2)
whole raw pepper stuffed with bulgar wheat, pesto, cheese, tomatoes, chickpeas and cucumber (a whole pepper is 2 portions, who knew?) = 4
satsuma, almonds, chocolate, dried fruit = 1.5

if you are still talking music, we are listening to peter bjorn and john who are cute and swedish and have a pleasantly lo-fi video

CoupleofKooks · 11/05/2010 19:31

is it on an advert? oh no if it is! i am blissfully ignorant of anything to do with homebase
i just think it is nice

anyway i just ran 2.6 miles apparently
so kiss my fruity behind

OP posts:
pointydog · 11/05/2010 19:37

yeah, ad.

weetabix and o juice
banana
v small portion chilli mince, few taters and peas and carrots
2 fingers shortbread (I shouldn't, I shouldn't)
2 jacobs, houmus, loads of chezza toms, pickled baby beets

a good 8. Wowza

ThePinkOne · 11/05/2010 19:49

You're doing fantastically well CoK! Stick at it

We went to DD's friend's house for tea and she wanted to sleep there. And they said 'yeah, why not?' and I said ok and left her. My babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!! Sounds like she's having a whale of a time (just got a text from the mum).

Wanted to run tonight but am eating too late. Too hungry to run first and will be too late to run after. Oh dear - am I making excuses?! Might go to debenhams instead. They're open til 11 and I can try on loads of size 10 stuff and be size 10 and be amazed when it fits!

pointydog · 11/05/2010 20:13

oh yes, go shopping for size 10 and feel good.

coK, 10 ib is a great amount to have lost

CoupleofKooks · 11/05/2010 20:47

oh cool, enjoy being size 10
i can now fit size 12 on top in some places (i am a size larger on top always due to weird big rib cage)

2.6 miles yeehah
it was meant to be 2.25 miles this week but the mp3 player ran out of batteries half way and i had no idea where 2.25 miles would be, so i just kept on going until i was positive i had done it
no idea how long it took me either, but hopefully will mean next week's 2.5 miles is not too scary or hard

pointy good vegetabling

my family think because we home ed and i don't work (well not in any kind of job that they recognise as legitimate), that they can just announce they are visiting and we won't have anything on that day
because obv i just sit around drinking tea poised for visitors all week long

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 11/05/2010 20:53

cereal, apple, peach, pineapple, banana, raisins, seeds = 4
celery with peanut butter and dried fruit ("ants on a log" ) = 1
chickpea, cheese and pesto bulgar wheat, half a quorn roll = 1
fruit muffin with butter, almonds
mushroom pie with broccoli, carrots = 3
chocolate

going to scavenge in kitchen and make it up to 10 portions

OP posts:
pointydog · 11/05/2010 20:53

I'm usually a bigger size on top. Broad back. Although I have a niggly doubt that I have just gathered a lot of fat around my back and upper arms too

pointydog · 11/05/2010 20:54

can't you just be 'out' on an educational trip?

ThePinkOne · 11/05/2010 20:56

Did someone turn up unannounced today CoK?

I'm usually a bigger size on top but I seem to not be atm. Still an F cup but boobs look tiny in a properly fitting (ie non-nursing!) bra. Hoorah for underwires

CoupleofKooks · 11/05/2010 21:07

no they are planning a trip next week
but without any kind of acknowledgement of the fact i may not be sitting here wafting around each day
we are in fact out almost every day atm pointy! there is loads on locally

the news is doing my head in a bit
i can't quite take it in, it's all very surreal, no?
i really did have a bit of a pipe dream in the last month or so that it might have been possible we were going to get some kind of progressive government
now we've got tories and the lib dems have got into bed with them? i mean wtf

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 11/05/2010 21:08

i've got a big back and small boobs
ds2 was feeding today and patting them saying "want BIGGER!"
LOL

OP posts:
pointydog · 11/05/2010 21:10

I have switched off from the news and all teh nonsense that is being spouted. Makes me feel a bit down in teh dumps

CoupleofKooks · 11/05/2010 21:28

oh man i'm not watching it
i mean i am a bit freaked by what has happened, not by 'the tv news'

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 11/05/2010 21:28

Remember, when we are feeling fed-up at only losing a pound a week, that it takes an undereat of 1500 calories or so a week to lose a pound so it is actually quite an achievement.

When you first start the weight flies off and when it settles its hard to remember how well we have done. And that's around 30-40 pounds between four of us so it's good. And there those yet to declare!

Granola bar
ginger biscuit

rice cakes
tuna mayo
beetroot
leaves

bit of crumble
bit of turkey

smoked salmon spaghetti with asparagus

ww choc pud {I think, my friend is coming for tea and I think she is bring this though I am dubious about these 1 pt puddings. We will see)

CoupleofKooks · 12/05/2010 18:10

ta guad that's kind
i think it is 3500 calories isn't it? i know you have to eat about 500 calories fewer than you need each day, which seems like an awful lot really

god i am hungry
probably because i need 500 more calories a day than what i am getting

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 12/05/2010 20:41

cereal fruit seeds raisins = 4
doves oaty biscuits - they are really nice and only 53 calories (yes i anally checked the packet)
cheese and pickle roll
half a quorn roll
little slice carrot cake
lentil and butternut dhal and rice = 3
4 satsumas = 2
chocolate, piece of cheese
going to have a berry solero

9

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 12/05/2010 21:53

its not anal you ninny, you are supposed to be checking the packets to see what's in things. That's the point.

Then, when we are the sylphs we want to be, we can empty the packets into our mouths and chuck them to one side with ne'er a thought for nutritionl contents.

I have overeaten a bit now. Weird ww cocolate dessert was quite nice with some defrosted frozen raspberries on the top but not sure if it would have tasted nice on its own. Probably full of shit too. I didn't check.

Right, another early night I think. I have new books.

CoupleofKooks · 12/05/2010 22:32

oh dear i don't think it works like that guad
i think we just have to do good eating
like forever

ah but we are going to eat basil sandwiches first
let's book a date
july? august? i need something to look forward to and i need to save up

what books have you got? i am reading a thing on play therapy and something on healthy eating and a noel streatfeild, all at once in very unsatisfying nibbles

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 13/05/2010 07:54

loooooooooook you can see the basil ones i think
and there's our corner seat with the squashy sofa

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 13/05/2010 20:58

actually, franny, I think I can see you there in the third picture or so

Will have to wait a couple of weeks to ceck any dates. I know we are away a large chunk of august and dh has loads of working away between now and then and the dates are vague. Would def like to go though.

dorset flakes
raspberries

turkey pastrami

soup
quiche and salad

bluberry puffs
rice cakes
houmous
sweet chilli 'crips' weird healthy crisp, bit tasteless but I still ate loads of them

vegetable and barley broth for dinner as I pigged all day

crumpet with peanut butter now as I am starving and so tired I am going to bed with it. Goodnight.

Guadalupe · 13/05/2010 21:02

also going early as I have the new books which are

Helen Dunmore's The Betrayal [loved the siege]
Maggie O Farrell's The Hand that first held mine
AS Byatts The Children's Book
Tove Jansson's The Summer Book

I am going to star with Maggie O Farrell I think. Crumpets done. Might have a rich tea for pudding.
