For people who like to eat a lot of fruit and veg but also need to lose weight. We suggest 10 portions of fruit and veg a day, plus at least 10 mins of extra exercise. Weigh in day is Monday. No Atkins stuff or anything like that please , just healthy eating and exercising.

Good morning.

I have lost 1 this week but tbh I am surprised it is any as I have completely stuffed my face for most of it.

Do you know if you melt the butter for your crumble as you forgot to take it out of the fridge and can't be bothered to rub in near frozen butter, you discover by accident, that it makes the most delicious crumble with enormous crumbly bits. Mmmm, it was apple and raspberry too.

A hige star danced across my ww screen this morning too as apparently I have lost 5% of my body weight. Always good to get a star on your worst weight loss week. Do you remember those weird trophies I got at the meeetings? Silver seven keyrings and so on. Incentives. Yeah man.

pink 2 (total pink?)
franny 0 (total 6)
Guad 1 (total 9.5)

CoupleofKooks · 10/05/2010 09:40

ah you cut + pasted guad, thanks for that, i never quite seem to get everyone's scores right and then i give up
well done on 1 lb

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 10/05/2010 17:29

Thank you!

I had shredded wheat AND crumble for breakfast today. Must be that post-weigh-in feast, to um, erm, contrast with the pre-weigh-in fast. Yep

Today, someone told me that their SIL prepares for her charity mountain climbs by running up and down the stairs 100 times. So ner. It's not a weird exercise to do at all. Perfectly normal. I am only on 30 I will admit, but I am getting better.

Dunno what to have for dinner. I'll have some squares and think about it.

OsmosisBanana · 10/05/2010 17:47

Good day fine veggers, is this 10/10 or a break off group?

Pink, f you can do 7.7 you'll be fine, the crowd totally pulls you round! I am seriously aching today after yesterdays 10k efforts!! Aching and very anxious about the Plymouth half at the end of the month. Ah well, have been promised a dress buying excursion from DH if I post not to shabby a time.

Exams next week, meh.

Hope you're all well, see you ron.

CoupleofKooks · 10/05/2010 18:14

hello osmosis, it's a breakaway group for the lardier veggers
we are slightly less lardy than we were 6 weeks ago
good luck with exams

guad i couldn't even WALK up the stairs 30 times
you do get those stair climber things at the gym but i always disliked them
do you put your trainers on before you do it?

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 10/05/2010 18:27

god, no I don't I don't put my trainers on, do you think I should?!

Hello, OB. Are you in your second or final year now? Well done on the running, I am very impressed with all these runners. I went through a phase of doing it last year but the thought makes me want to fall over.

I am into stairs now, man.

Pointy - I am surprised you like Coco Rosie. I wouldn't have thought it! I don't know why. Have you heard Devendra Banhart and Joanna Newsom? I prefer them I think. CR is a bit weird even for me! Maybe its the neighing.

CoupleofKooks · 10/05/2010 19:01

what about a sports bra?
god i could have cleaned up at dp's 10k yesterday if i'd have had a sports bra stand
there were some people who should not really have stepped out of bed without donning a very supportive foundation garment, let alone running full pelt along a race track in front of a load of gawping strangers

OP posts:
pointydog · 10/05/2010 19:03

I love devendra banhart. Admit that coco rosei are fairly bonkers and sometimes it crosses the border and ends up far in teh Land of Most Annoying. Very atmospheric though. Aren't there squeaky old bike sounds on some of their songs?

Don;t think I've heard joanna newsome.

I know, I know, I come across like such a shania twain girl

CoupleofKooks · 10/05/2010 19:04

look guad i googled you are cutting edge
plus look here "Numerous religious leaders liked to climb mountains for prayer, meditation, and to give teachings and the climbing at many of these places is virtually identical to stair climbing. Jesus taught at The Sermon on the Mount; Moses climbed Mt. Sinai, Mohammed went to the mountains surrounding Mecca to a cave, and the Buddha climbed Vulture Peak in India to meditate and give instruction on The Dhamma." you could become a spiritual leader while doing it

OP posts:
pointydog · 10/05/2010 19:04

can't remember exactly when I last weighed myself but I am still 11 st so have lost nothing in the last 5 days and possibly week or more now

CoupleofKooks · 10/05/2010 19:05

i am just burbling to hide fact i don't know what you are talking about

oh you realised that already

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 10/05/2010 19:05

lol, did anyone knock themselves out? I used to feel like I would with my bf 34 Fs!

I am eating chocolate guinness cake. It might actually be the most delicious thing I have ever eaten.

CoupleofKooks · 10/05/2010 19:06

pointy you have to do the cut and paste of shame
get the bit where we weighed in and add yourself on - "pointy - nothing"
it will spur you on to do better next week

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 10/05/2010 19:08

i worked for a woman who bfed twins and she had M cup breasts
i didn't know M existed before then
i don't think anyone injured themselves guad but it looked very very uncomfortable

OP posts:
pointydog · 10/05/2010 19:08

I have lost 2lb because I know that I have lost 8lb in total. Big up, the dog

pink 2.5 lb
franny 1 lb total 6 lb
guad 2.5 lb total 8.5 lb (yes count from start of thread i think guad)
avi sending naked photo for appraisal
pointy - 0 this week but has lost 6 lb in total

Guadalupe · 10/05/2010 19:17

oh, I missed loads of posts in the middle

ha ha at the skyscraper climbing, that is hilarious. Yars, cutting edge, that is moi.

Pointy - Have you got the new devendra? I haven't but would like it. I love that it is so inappropriate when we listen in the car. 'Hey there little sexy pig you made it with a lamb, and now you've got a little kid with hooves instead of hands, oh yahhhh....' tra la la LOLOL that cracks me up every time.

Joanna is a bit squealy and childlike but absoluteley grows on you and as Boco says, makes you go a bit spangly. She is at te green man festival this year. We are going to latitude as it's near

Franny - you missing out!

Guadalupe · 10/05/2010 19:20

'...and she moves, so psychohh.. delli..cally, yeah yeah

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 10/05/2010 20:49

the children's trust fund people sent ds1 a star chart thing today, he was totally bemused by it
when he saw the suggestions they had filled in - "eating fruit and vegetables" - he started laughing to himself
he asked if i would give him rewards at the end of the week for walking or sitting on a chair
i see his point

OP posts:
pointydog · 10/05/2010 21:56

tra la la laaarr - yes I like that bit

pointydog · 10/05/2010 21:58

dh is the one who really deals with music properly. He buys loads of stuff, I then decide what I like an d just listne to that. How girly. So yes, dh bought the new devendra, I listened to it in the car and declared it v good, rather different tack but v good.

Guadalupe · 10/05/2010 22:05

Well, I will buy it on your recommendation.

Coco Rosie is sold out. I am so crap at getting organised. I should have done it quickly after there was a spread in local paper about them.

Oh well, I will cheer myself with a new cd. I've just done a big amazon order, I might try and add to it. I ordered the sequel to Helen Dunmore's The Siege amongst others, am looking forward to that.

This cake is so DELICIOUS. I must get the recipe.

ThePinkOne · 11/05/2010 06:56

I put my total in last week franny. It was 7 so,

pink 2 (total 9)
franny 0 (total 6)
Guad 1 (total 9.5)
pointy 2 (total 8)

Well done OsBa! There's no crowd round my RfL tho They are at the start/finish but it's a 5k route that I have to go round twice. How soul destroying will that be?!!

Guad I never thought the stairs was wierd and I'm very impressed

DD had a start chart like that in a Cbeebies magazine once. Things like wash your hands, eat some fruit, eat a vegetable

I made some brilliant cup cakes yesterday. Well I left them in the oven too long so the cakes themselves weren't brilliant but the chocolate icing I piped on the top was quite impressive!

Will try and run tonight and eat more fruit and veg than yesterday.

CoupleofKooks · 11/05/2010 08:51

pink you have to do your total every week, i won't remember them!

well done everyone, i was feeling a bit despondent yesterday as i was only one who had been crap, and yet again i am not going to manage my goal for the month, but am trying to give self a pep talk this morning
i have lost 10 lb
i don;t think i have put any on despite some crappy eating
i can run 2 miles which i couldn't do a month ago
i am doing ok
