For people who like to eat a lot of fruit and veg but also need to lose weight. We suggest 10 portions of fruit and veg a day, plus at least 10 mins of extra exercise. Weigh in day is Monday. No Atkins stuff or anything like that please , just healthy eating and exercising.

sticker accepted. I surprised myself there

Guadalupe · 04/05/2010 20:52

thanks - you know what I mean though, you are doing well and then something stressful happens and you eat an absurd amount. What is that about? I mean, half a tray? Literally.

CoupleofKooks · 04/05/2010 21:08

it's all linked in from so far back in our lives - food and stress and comfort and love and food
it's a tangle

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 04/05/2010 21:29

indeed, and they were particularly nice ones made with a couple of bars of g and b too.

I will not bake for a few days I think.

Right, I am tired of today, I am going to bed with some tea and a magazine. Isn't it bloody freezing? We've just had a fire.

CoupleofKooks · 04/05/2010 21:32

well i think it would have been rude NOT to eat them really

cereal fruit seeds raisins = 4
farl and butter, banana, apple = 1
cream cheese and carrot wrap
celery, broccoli, tomatoes = 1
macaroni cheese, carrots, broccoli, sweetcorn = 2
chocolates

only 8, i am slacking

elliemental · 05/05/2010 11:02

oh Guad I am also having bizarro brother issues. email me if you want to talk or anything.
Is very upsetting and draining.

I have definitely changed shape a little, and feel better and less flabby but not one pound have i lost
I feel such a failure saying that. Maybe this is the size i am meant to be now? Maybe I have converted it all to muscle

CoupleofKooks · 05/05/2010 18:25

ellie perhaps you could measure instead of weighing? if you have changed shape, something is happening
are you exercising?

afternoon chaps

I am down to 11st! I am pleased.

weetabix and fruit juice
banana
small chicken curry, rice, peas and carrots
pickled baby beets
2 jacobs and houmus
lots of baby plum toms
mucho mango

Almost a replica of what I ate yesterday, so 9-10 portiosn.

These cunting mangos have been delicious.

CoupleofKooks · 05/05/2010 20:22

ooh pointy that's good
agree mangos have had no trace of cuntingness lately

cereal, fruit, raisins, seeds = 4
pate sandwiches
shortbread (a bite)
pasta, veg bolognese, cheese, red cabbage, green cabbage = 3
fruit scone with butter, lemon curd (we were out of jam), and clotted cream
pineapple, really unripe and nasty but we have 4 and i felt i ought to eat one = 2

scraped 9

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 05/05/2010 20:31

Thanks, elli, I will.

Well done, pointy! I have stuck on 10 5, have been there for nearly a week. It keeps going from 5 1/8 up to 5 7/8 and then down and up and never below. Soooo frustrating!

I have upped my stair running to 30. DD can do 30 too. I am unreasonably pleased about this given that it sounds so feeble.

biscuits at music group

ham ryvita and sundried tomato chutney with tomato and interesting leaves like sorrel rocket and nettle and other unidentifiable ones[to me anyway]

raspberries
bluberries

smoked salmon spaghetti with broccoli and more salad

chocolate wafer
apple

I don't think I will be 10 4 tomorrow either.

CoupleofKooks · 05/05/2010 20:42

cor you have good scales guad! we have rubbishy ikea ones, and you have to get on and off 4 times and kick it a bit before reading the dial, so you can see whether it is weighing 'light' or 'heavy' that day

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 05/05/2010 20:50

they weren't expensive

in fact I think they were from somerfields one new year where they have a little seaonal bit amongst the food like garden games.

It's maybe more annoying going up and down within a pound though!

I am very full of spaghetti.

pointydog · 05/05/2010 21:16

i WAS ALSO MIGHTY IMPRESSE WITH guad's scales.

Mine just go up in 2lb notches so I am never really that certain until I have obviously lost another 2lb (or put another 2 on).

Guadalupe · 05/05/2010 21:37

yes, well, they are not THAT impressive, and nobody seems to be impressed with my running up and down the stairs THIRTY times.

I mean, come on, you try it.

pointydog · 05/05/2010 21:40

I bet you looked mad

We have a horrid thick pile, badly fitted carpet on our stairs. I would slip and break me neck if I ran up and down fast.

Everyone in the family has slipped on carpet and fallen down teh stairs at least once. Very painful and what a clatter.

ThePinkOne · 05/05/2010 21:46

Very impressed with your stair running Guad

My scales also weigh in fractions of lbs. Mine were cheapo from Lidl I think and have a body fat measuring function but I've forgotten how to use it since being pg with DS! Sometimes it's annoying to be going up and down in the same lb and sometimes it's good to know that 1/2lb!!

I just had to really drag myself out for a run. It was already half 8 and I really couldn't be arsed. But I was brilliant 3 and a half miles in 35 mins (that's 5.56k) Happy with that

I should've worked off the (small) slice of FIL's birthday cake I had for tea. FIL thinks I make the best sponge cake in the whole wide world ever It is quite nice but he really raves about it That's all I've had tonight. It was either run or dinner and I won't feel like eating now I've run. I'll have a pear in a minute maybe.

Does he keep you awake feeding all night Fran? DS has been sleeping well for weeks now but has been up the last 2 nights. Only once tho.

Sorry to hear about family woes Guad and Ellie

ThePinkOne · 05/05/2010 21:56

I wrote my post and gave you the sticker before your last prompt there Guad! I was impressed

Guadalupe · 06/05/2010 07:41

aaaaargh

it flickered on 10 4 and then flashed and settled on 10 5 1/8. Again. This is so annoying!

Pointy I prob did look a bit mad but this is not so unusual I think. I have stripey stair carpet so it's a bit like a track.

Pink - Thank you for noticing.

Guadalupe · 06/05/2010 07:42

in fact a stripey stair runner so very fit for purpose

Guadalupe · 06/05/2010 07:44

playgroup is closed for use as a voting hall today so we are going with friends to the castle museum.

Should prob take some sort of lunch but it's so nice in the cafe, but I will invariably have quiche and this will invariably be pointy and I want to be 10 4 this freaking century.

Guadalupe · 06/05/2010 07:46

oh pointy I am sorry I did not say hurray for being 11, you will prob be 10 13 by tomorrow!

CoupleofKooks · 06/05/2010 08:52

guad i must join in saying stair running is a bit mad, but also impressive and your calves will look amazing

home ed picnic in park day today and weather actually looks ok, for a wonder

also baby art group this morning with ds2, how cute is that

then voting
and waiting
and wondering
i fear the worst (well not the WORST but it looks quite bad doesn't it)

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 06/05/2010 09:34

Really? Is it? I haven't got time to go to the gym and it seemed an obvious high intensity exercise to do at home rather than get a stepper or whatever. I hope my calves don't bulk up!

Singing sounds fun. Ds2 is going to a ska baby rave at the weekend with dh. It's part of the festival. Loads of good stuff happening actually. Sure. it's not Edinburgh or anything but you know...

I am going to vote on the way to the castle. Lets not get depressed yet!

elliemental · 06/05/2010 13:23

at baby ska!!

voted on way to work already. Then dithered madly when I saw the papers. Think I feel doomed to disappointment, whoever gets into power tbh. Superman couldn't put things right I reckon.

Porridge,
Hummous
rocket/watercress/spinach salad and crusty roll
low fat yoghurt thingy.

DH away tonight so will prob have omelette and salad for dinner.

CoupleofKooks · 06/05/2010 18:02

how cool is baby ska? brilliant

had a laugh today with people talking about the election. Some of the children saying "so who did we vote for?" and parents saying clamped-mouthed "that's secret". That'll be tory, then
