This is our mumblemumbleth thread. We want to eat more healthily and/or lose weight.

In theory.

Mostly we like to chat and admire teh thread mascot - he helps us not to over-eat.

If that doesn't do it for you, you can always go old-school - I know I'm too scared to go into the dark spooky kitchen now

Morning all. Will catch up when I can concentrate.
Fab weekend but am now v very tired.
How is everyone??

NormaSknockers · 26/04/2010 08:15

Morning all,

Off on the nursery run then washing to sort out log on with a cuppa later

hellsbelles · 26/04/2010 08:18

lizzy - you've been very missed - so glad to hear you had a fab time.

Vinny - I too had a shite night but not quite so terrifying as hearing George Lamb's voice . Lovely looking man but oh dear lord that voice.

I'm in full on strop today. About 3 hours sleep as all elements conspired to keep me awake. AF arrived which could explain extreme mood and all this fecking walking has left my heels cracked and bleeding.

What the hell do I do about them? Any recs? Also which are the best trainers to get (particularly interested in ones good for horrid backs)...I'm to realise I don't have a single pair of trainers. Sort of shows why I'm a lard arse.

TotalChaos · 26/04/2010 08:28

morning ladies.

hells - no idea on trainers I'm afraid. Re:heels - flexitol ?heel balm is meant to be good.

hellsbelles · 26/04/2010 08:30

Thanks Total - will get some this morning. It's put me in such a mood as it hurts a lot to walk (I'm so bloody delicate...perhaps I was meant to be carried everywhere in the styley of the Queen of Sheba )

bellavita · 26/04/2010 08:34

Hello

Vinny & Hells, sorry for you shite nights . Hells, how about Flexitol or Burts Bees for feet (similar sort of balm) or failing that have you got any Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream? I find that works wonders on most things.

Lizzy, glad you had a fab weekend.

Mitts, are you ok my lovely?

Yank are you back in work today? Cannot remember if you are full or part-time?

Now come on Norma - cup of tea before anything else!

Have just put some brownies in the oven and I need to go straighten up now.

Hello everyone else.

Morning

Is anyone else secretly a little relieved to go back to civilisation work on a Monday morning?

TrillianAstra · 26/04/2010 08:57

Flicky hair - good plan SAF!

I have apparently put on 5 lbs this weekend. Think this is unlikely, really.

AFAIK you can lose weight while pregnant, not fast but you can. Growing a baby only needs about 200 cals a day (I read somewhere on here once). I'd recommend The Lord Ford - if you are 4 stone overweight then you are probably eating more than you should be at the moment. Just cutting down to 'the right amount of food to stay the same weight' will make a big difference to how you feel once the baby is here.

Fanny at BIL. Agree with others about NOT giving any money.

TotalChaos · 26/04/2010 09:11

Queen - re:weight loss and PG - I was depressed and struggled with appetite at times, so only put on 1 stone for the whole of PG - DS was absolutely fine, a 7lber. As the other ladies have said speak to your mw about it to see what a healthy minimum diet would be for PG, I would not have thought weight loss would be a nono if you are significantly overweight.

Cuppa anyone?

bellavita · 26/04/2010 09:25

The ped egg is very good for achieving smooth heels. I also put cream on and do the sock thing, not as often as I should..
