This is our mumblemumbleth thread. We want to eat more healthily and/or lose weight.

In theory.

Mostly we like to chat and admire teh thread mascot - he helps us not to over-eat.

If that doesn't do it for you, you can always go old-school - I know I'm too scared to go into the dark spooky kitchen now

Tracey, I think you asked the other day which highlighter I used... it is one called New Kids and I got it when I was in Debenhams when I had my London trip in February. The make-up guy saw me looking at the products and asked if I wanted a little make-over. It comes in a little pallette with a bronzer. I had not heard of the brand before - I think they have just started out.

VinegarTits · 25/04/2010 18:24

in that case Bella, i would gratefully accept it, but only if you are sure? you are a very lovely kind lady and can expect big hugs at the june meet

DreamsInBinary · 25/04/2010 18:25

Also have a pinky cream blush for "no-makeup" days. Which obv involve plenty of the stuff, but in different colours.

bellavita · 25/04/2010 18:26

Where do you get NARS stuff from?

TrillianAstra · 25/04/2010 18:26

I don't wear foundation much, I have some max factor colour adapt stuff, but I don't always put it on my whole face, just areas that need it. Is that wrong?

what is a primer? is it like concealer?

bellavita · 25/04/2010 18:27

I will post it out to you this week. I would not have offered it if I wasn't sure!

DreamsInBinary · 25/04/2010 18:27

John Lewis, here. Not sure, but maybe House of Fraser as well?

traceybath · 25/04/2010 18:28

Oooh I'll have a look for that one Bella.

Did you have a nice time out last night?

bellavita · 25/04/2010 18:28

Trills, I only put foundation on the areas that need it, I apply with a brush.

I have never used a primer.

traceybath · 25/04/2010 18:30

Space NK do Nars and Harvey Nichols/Selfridges.

bellavita · 25/04/2010 18:31

tracey, I had a fab time. Do you know I was really worried about conversation.... I am not sure why maybe it is because we are always out with the boys and conversation is taken up by them. But it flowed and we talked about things from years back and had a good laugh and we people watched too which was just sooo funny. We have asked the sitter to come on the 22nd May (cannot do before due to other commitments) but we are definitely going to make it regular.

traceybath · 25/04/2010 18:33

I'm glad you had fun! Definitely find going out regularly makes a huge difference to how DH and I get on - also trying to get away for a night on our own.

bellavita · 25/04/2010 18:36

He is making us gin and tonics later... wonder if he is getting in the mood for summat?

TrillianAstra · 25/04/2010 18:37

All this makeup chat has made me put something called 'white orchid' on my nails.

Too late Shiney - I have just spied loads of stuff I would like!

TrillianAstra · 25/04/2010 18:41

It was Vinny who asked if primer was concealer. It just sounds like extra faff to me. Maybe when I am old I will need it Or maybe I am already missing out and would look amazing if I used it

VinegarTits · 25/04/2010 18:42

So is a primer to hold or "fix" the foundation in place?

TrillianAstra · 25/04/2010 18:45

Going by your facebook pic you look about 14, and Bella says you sound very young on the phone, so maybe it is working
