This is our mumblemumbleth thread. We want to eat more healthily and/or lose weight.

In theory.

Mostly we like to chat and admire teh thread mascot - he helps us not to over-eat.

If that doesn't do it for you, you can always go old-school - I know I'm too scared to go into the dark spooky kitchen now

Nooooo Bella, you cant send me brand new expensive mascara, you will have to used it at least twice and decided it was the wrong type for you, or i will feel bad

why havent you used it?

DeFluff · 25/04/2010 18:05

Shines - I don't often wear make up these days but when i do i wear eyeshadow and im 34! What should I wear instead of eye shadow? Nothing ? Or is there a cream or something? When I wear it I wear the same make up style ive been wearing since i was 16. Minus the Heather Shimmer lipstick

I do like Benefit hi beam and I love MotherPucker lip glosses. Apart from that I'm clueless.

Oh I'm a full slap person every day too. I even fake tanned/did nails etc before c-sections.

I'm getting back into lipstick though with gloss on top.

And what foundation do you recommend? I always end up cakey. Nice. And I never use powder because I'm covered in little downy hairs and that highlights them.

God, I'm rubbish. I must be the most low maintenance woman I know. Don't do nails, make up and as previously mentioned have massive chunk missing from hair

traceybath · 25/04/2010 18:11

Shiney I think you're definitely better at make up - I use pretty much the same products all the time.

Vinny - I too am corpse like without fake tan.

I do love some of the threads on mn though where its assumed you look like jodie marsh if you use fake tan and make up.

Defluff - I use chanel vitalumiere foundation but have dry skin. Don't do powder.

Do use blusher - essential the older you get.

I like st tropez fake tan and love getting a spray tan.

I am liz hurely tastic - without the stunning figure/looks but do have the white jeans.

If the vaseline stuff counts then I do use that - not sure I can see any actual rosyness but I like the smell.

Yes, you must help make us up Shiney!

And I wear leggings or tracksuit type bottoms every day plus a top usually covered in baby sick. I wear no jewellery unless I'm going out. As I haven't 'been out' for over a year I think I've lost the urge.

Think Waynetta slob but with longer hair Its 'making an effort' if I do my legs

Let me do a search on Boots and then I'll come post and check I've got the right stuff re the pencils. Is it because they don't crease or something?

Have had a dull day of chores today.

Did anyone listen to R4 earlier to a programme called 'The Reunion' - it was about Dunblane and god it was just so incredibly sad.

VinegarTits · 25/04/2010 18:17

i use dove body lotion with tan in it when i am skint, and clinique self tan when i am flush

i dont think i look orange, and my hair and eyes are very dark so it does look natural for me to be tanned, i also dont over do it and apply 5 coats, i only ever apply 2

DeFluff · 25/04/2010 18:19

My parents bought me loads of the soap and glory type stuff for CHristmas (same people who do motherpucker lipgloss) and one was a moisturiser but with gentle tan stuff in it. Actually though its like moisturiser with these orange beads that 'burst' when you rub it in so you have orange streaks on your face. Think I'm doing something wromg

traceybath · 25/04/2010 18:20

Nars - orgasm. Love it and lasts for ages.

bellavita · 25/04/2010 18:21

Vinny, I was using a particular Lancome mascara, it started to run out so I bought another one. I then discovered in my make-up bag another Lancome one with a different brush that I preferred so I have bought myself one of these and the other is surplus to requirements.

  • Liz Earle face stuff
  • Smashbox primer
  • Chanel mat lumiere foundation
  • Tesco Barbara Daly concealer
  • Boots No7 Eyeshadow (whoops)
  • Clinique eyeliner
  • Maybelline yellow tube mascara
  • Nars Orgasm blush
  • Normal vaseline for lips

I do like heavy eyes and nude lips for a night out. Have fortunately abandoned my teeange love of Mary Quant gothic blood-red lipstick!
