Vin - send him a text saying now you've met each other you feel its time to go exclusive and he should take his profile off dating site right now and would he like to meet your parents next weekend?

BitOfFun · 20/04/2010 18:12

I think it was the near miss on the road that has really upset me to be honest. She was nearly a gonner, and too quick for me.

The odd bit of poo-flinging is no biggie to me, sadly.

I made it clear I wasn't happy about dd1 going to the pictures on a school night, but she pleaded and will be back by half-six, and there wasn't much I could do with him waiting outside the front door for her. It's just the assumption that irritates me.

BitOfFun · 20/04/2010 18:13

You're right though Vinny, all very normal- I was the same myself.

OP posts:
bellavita · 20/04/2010 18:13

And what did you put in your txt Vin?

VinegarTits · 20/04/2010 18:14

shiney, that just sent shivers down my spine, lucky you got to him

DeFluff · 20/04/2010 18:16

Bof - is this dd the 'going out with boyfriend Sharon to cinema' one?

Time to lock her in the cellar I think.

Sorry about the running in road business - nasty shock.

I threw tv control at DP last night, didn't realise that the white pile of clothes on the cushion I threw it as were actually Mole. bounced off cushion and hit (gently) on shoulder. I went all cold and shivery, its horrible with near misses.

VinegarTits · 20/04/2010 18:17

Bella, i said that he seemed nice and not nervous (unlike me) in my text, have put the phone down now (shineys orders) i get carried away

VinegarTits · 20/04/2010 18:18

she keeps you on your toes doesnt bof i recommend sweet tea vodka for the shock

VinegarTits · 20/04/2010 18:18

doesnt she

TotalChaos · 20/04/2010 18:21

oh no, Poor Ted and Poor Bof!

Vinny - agree about leaving the texting for now, you've shown a bit of further interest now the ball is in his court.

BitOfFun · 20/04/2010 18:29

When I say that I was the same myself, I mean about the boyfriends- I was not generally in the habit of flinging my faeces at my mother.

bellavita · 20/04/2010 18:34

Oh BoF - what a shock re the road thingy. A huge drink is whats needed me thinks!

Vin - no more txting! The ball is in his court now. >

Shiney, is Ted ok now? Did you manage to get a cold compress on it?

Right have discovered how to make pages to keeping up is easier.

VT - don't understand dating so won't give you advice.

BoF sounds scary on the road.

Shiney - you sound like me in the parenting stakes. The ditch though would have made me freak abit, reminds me of the day when a friends son walked across what he thought was mud but alas was the crust of a slurry lagoon.

MyCat hello.

Sazz glad you are getting away this weekend.

Slugbrains · 20/04/2010 18:43

Bof - I second the drink - do you have an answer as to how long til the safe space arrives?

Vinny - glad to hear you had a nice time. Agree with leaving the phone alone.

Shiney - hope ted is ok.

Cat - fab to see you.

Oh and bof i am going to hold you accountable for the fact that i might win bad parent of the day award.

I have at least discovered now why the hockey boys were so leary. I had forgotten i'd popped into the shop before i hit the rink (wearing skating stuff) and have just been suitably teased for it. I guess it was the training clothes that did it. Skating at the weekend but suspect that i will wear the see through dress again. it is fab to skate in but must search out that slip you mentioned as i think I now have my june outfit. Comfy and confidence building. will just need to consider -butprobablywontcosiamcrap accessories.

TotalChaos · 20/04/2010 18:48

Slug - so do you do ice dance stuff rather than ice hockey at the rink then, so go there in costume??

BitOfFun · 20/04/2010 18:54

I'm sure you'll look lovely, Slug.

The road thing was awful- we were in the park and she dropped a bit of shiny paper by accident (she loves holding bits of foil wrappers etc and watching them flutter), and the wind picked it up and swept it right through the railings and out onto the street. She followed it like a whippet after a rabbit, and bolted straight across the road, right in front of a van

I was totally helpless to catch up wwith her, and it was completely unexpected.

The van was going quite slowly, and didn't have to screech to a halt or anything, but my heart was in my mouth- I thought I was going to see her chucked into the air like a rag doll

She has got no sense of danger at all.

DeFluff · 20/04/2010 18:58

Bof - that's horrible, definitely break open the vodka

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/04/2010 19:06

Bof - that's awful

Vinny - Glad it went well

Slug, if I'd seen you in your skating gear, I may have burst in to tears, hope that's some consolation

Shiny - hope DS is ok.

MyCat - good to have you back.

DH is being a massive twat. I am really pissed off.

BitOfFun · 20/04/2010 19:08

Come on then- offload his twattery here...

OP posts:
BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/04/2010 19:09

OK, I've just read that last post and I'm really hoping it was slug I was telling about the fact that ice skating makes me cry.

Otherwise that post makes me look like a massive twat.

We could be Mr and Mrs Massive-Twat

BitOfFun · 20/04/2010 19:11

Do you want me to make it worse?

OP posts:
BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/04/2010 19:13

Right, without even opening that link Bof, I'm guessing it will be bloody Bolero - am I right?
