Yes it was me you were telling about the crying with ice skating. Yes I am a figure skater, but i dont skate in the dresses they're too hot for training in. Over boot tights, cyling shorts and vest top is about standard training fair.

Thank goodness for that

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/04/2010 19:15

That was to slug, by the way. I'm not doing very well here am I?

Slugbrains · 20/04/2010 19:18
Grin
VinegarTits · 20/04/2010 19:22

i spoke to shiney naked

she rang when i was in the bath

oh shiney, i thought what he wrote was honest and kinda sweet, but i am gullible

DeFluff · 20/04/2010 19:27

Bitter - that was hilarious, was reading open mouthed.

Shiney - come on then where can we see photos of this blokey I want his website addy to check him out (after all I am so good at picking men )

Slug - figure skating? I love watching the skating on tv. I do that really graceful dance that Torvil and Dean did once - the 'holding on to edge of rink' I think its called. When I'm on the ice, not when I'm watching tv. I'll shut up.

Risotto for lunch - Ainsley Harriott packet took bloody 12 mins in microwave. Salad for dinner.

BitOfFun · 20/04/2010 19:28

I thought you meant that you spoke to Shiney while she was in her kitchen for a minute there. At the fridge with the tango and squirty cream

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/04/2010 19:29

So bof - was I right? what was the link?

TrillianAstra · 20/04/2010 19:29

Shiney is handing out dating advice huh, doesn't take long for her to appoint herself as an expert in matters of luuurve

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/04/2010 19:31

Well, the only dating advice I have is

Don't marry a massive twat and

Be careful of x posts about people who have been on dates.

HTH

VinegarTits · 20/04/2010 19:31

bof, i think she enjoyed talking to while i was naked

bitter, yes it was Bolero i clicked on it

VinegarTits · 20/04/2010 19:32

to me

fuck why do i keep missing words out brain to fast for my fingers to keep up

Slugbrains · 20/04/2010 19:34

Bitter - you were right. btbh i find it over rated and dont enjoy that ice dance. However i prefer to skate then watch skaters - unless it is ice hockey that i am watching.

TotalChaos · 20/04/2010 19:35

better to talk nekkid in bath than clothed when on toilet!

bolero is sooooo dull, the same musical phrase repeated for about 10 minutes.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/04/2010 19:36

But it's so graceful.

TrillianAstra · 20/04/2010 19:38

Vinny always MNs from the loo, didn't you know that?

TotalChaos · 20/04/2010 19:42

MNing is different, you don't have sound input so it doesj't matter if you flush while MNetting, that doesn't count

TrillianAstra · 20/04/2010 19:43

And you won't be echoey through being in a small tiled room...

I blame the ash...for everything.

BOF - the vodka is definitely needed in this case! Your heart must have leapt out of your chest...as for DD1 - she's just doing what she's supposed to isn't she

Shiney - poor Ted, poor white top!

Defluff - ahem - more stories please

VInny - sounds like it went well. I shall not be able to give advice regarding texting. They didn't have it in my dating days (which makes me sound 103 doesn't it??!?).

Lizzy - mention of Judy Blume sent me into a hazy teenage daydream. I thought it was so naughty and a boy that we knew had the misfortune to be called Ralph. He was actually rather handsome so I blushed everytime I spoke to him.

Bella - why are you feeling tired. Could it be the lack of carbs. You can have some nuts if that helps! Sounds bonkers but that really helped me (I think you are allowed about 20 peanuts!!!)

Trills - that is crap that you were busy - how the feck does that work. Surely as you were supposed to be off it should have been a nice 'catch up' day rather than proper hard labour!!

Slug - are you so sure the AD's are a bad thing. They have made a massive difference in this household.

Have to go and do more work...and then it's more 24! Wasting...so glad series 6 is good as well. Life will be weird when we've finished all the series. They are my adrenaline rush addiction!

So DH was going up to FIL's to help with some bits. He left at half eight this morning.

Originally he was going to leave later so I could leave DD with him to do the school run (which also would have meant I didn't flash at the school gates, but that's another story)

He announces 'I'm off' at half eight and when I question him, says he is leaving early so 'he can come back later today'.

He sent me an apologetic text when he got there and I think all is ok.

I texted him at about 5ish to see if he wanted dinner. To which he replied 'back tomorrow afternoon, dinner would be lovely

When I got arsey at this, he replied 'Oh well maybe I'll stay longer' and called me a martyr

Anyway, upshot is, this is the first week off we have had together in over a year, I'm playing single parent and I'm carless.

And I have no idea when he will be back.

Am I being childish?

TrillianAstra · 20/04/2010 19:48

at Hells - I wouldn't really call it 'hard labour'. I think I ended up doing things slowly and thoroughly showing the new guy what to do at every step, whereas if I wasn't there my boss would have done it v quickly on her own (and probably at 8pm as she is a bit of a late-nighter).

bellavita · 20/04/2010 19:51

NUTS hells... is that all I can have . I have eaten a tinsey bit of chocolate

DH is asleep on the settee > he has got Vit B12 deficiency. He is having to have 5 jabs this week and then one every three months thereafter

You spoke to Shiney when you were naked Vin?
